Oceanography supports the Quranic statement on the barrier between two seas when they meet, also it supports its scientific statement on river-sea estuary.

knew that saline seas have different
characteristics and that they don’t
mix when they meet.
The story began when the ship
"Challenger" went on a scientific
expedition that took three years to
study the world seas.
The findings of these scientific
Journey were amazing, later many

3. (1) Seas different in temperature , salinity and
density never mingle when they meet.
(2) There is always a barrier between the two
seas of different salinity, temperature and density
when they meet.

7. He (God) released the two seas, meeting [side
by side]; (19)Between them is a barrier [so]
neither of them transgresses. (20)So which of the
favors of your Lord would you deny? (21)From
both of them emerge pearl and coral. (55:22)
Transliteration:
Maraja Al-Baĥrayni Yaltaqiyāni, Baynahumā
Barzakhun Lā Yabghiyāni, Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i
Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni, Yakhruju Minhumā Al-
Lu'ulu'uu Wa Al-Marjānu

8. English Transliteration
He released the two seas Maraja Al-Baĥrayni
meeting [side by side]; Yaltaqiyāni
Between Baynahumā
them is a barrier Barzakhun
neither of them transgresses. LāYabghiyāni
So which of the favors of your Lord would Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i
you deny? Rabbikumā
Tukadhdhibāni
From both of them emerge Yakhruju Minhumā
pearl and coral Al-Lu'ulu'uu Wa Al-
Marjānu

9. According to this verse:
There is a partition between a sea and another
None of the two seas transgresses the other
Only in saline water live pearl and coral
So Who told Muhammad this precise information, He must have been
Allah(God). This means that this Holy Quran must have been revealed
from God to Muhammad

10. It is He Who has Let free the two bodies Of flowing
water: One palatable and sweet ( that is river or water
fountains), And the other salty and bitter( that is the
saline sea) ; Yet has He Made a barrier between them,
And a partition that is forbidden To be passed.” [Al-
Qur’aan 25:53]
Transliteration:
Wahuwa allathee maraja albahrayni hatha AAathbun furatun
wahatha milhun ojajun wajaAAala baynahuma barzakhan
wahijran mahjooran

11. English Transliteration
It is He Who has Wahuwa allathee
has Let free the two bodies Of maraja
flowing water
Two bodies of flowing water albahrayni
hatha AAathbun furatun One palatable and sweet
), And the other salty and bitter wahatha milhun ojajun
Yet has He Made a barrier wajaAAala baynahuma
barzakhan
And a partition that is forbidden wahijran mahjooran
To be passed.

12. Why does the Holy Quran say partition that is
forbidden To be passed when describing the estuary
of a river and a sea?
It has been noticed that the estuary of
river and sea is always surrounded with
a barrier that keep each mass of water
moving without mixing with the other
for hundreds of Kilometers, this
preventing partition, too, has its own
independent identity. Each mass is
different from the other in its salinity,
temperature, density and even the
marine organism in each mass is
deferent from the other.

13. The significance of the Arabic words"Higra
Mahjoura, translated “And a partition that is
forbidden To be passed. "
The Arabic words " " Higra Mahjoura"" means:
A closed area of water (could be likened to a
closed room), this add a new scientific fact;
it is owing to this strong barrier, li8kened to
a closed area, that non of the organism of
each mass can pass to live in the other, if
they pass they would certainly die.

15. It should be noted that the Holy Quran uses the
word sea when referring to the river but to
distinguish it from the saline sea, it says palatable
and sweet simply because there are fountains at the
bottom of the saline sea, these, too, gush palatable
water that has preventing partition that separate it
from the saline water.
It is only by modern technology aided by thermal
pictures from satellites that man could discover this
recently found facts.
