1. Motivation/Presentation: (SDA) 
Present a collection of rocks. Call on someone to 
classify the rocks in any manner a child likes. Ask, 
“how did you classify the rock sample?” 
B. Activity Proper: 
1. Giving instructions and some precautionary 
measures to class, 
2. Group work (SDA) 
Distribute the different activity cards to each group. 
 For group I-Activity on differentiating rocks 
as to color, texture and shape. 
 For group II- Test how hard a rock is by 
“scratch test” (see activity cards attached) 
C. Post-Activity:(WT) 
1. Reporting by groups 
2. Analysis and discussion: 
 How can you determine the hardness 
of a rock? In what ways can you classify 
rocks? How do rocks differ? 
3. Abstraction and Generalization: 
How are rocks classified? 
4. Application and Valuing: 
Mr. Santos is a developer of areas for erecting 
buildings. He then used bulldozer to flatten or 
keep elevated places low. Is this change 
beneficial ? Why or Why not?

  • 1. GRADE V I-Objective: Classify rocks according to color,shape,size, hardness,texture weight [Appreciates importance of rocks] II-Observing and Comparing Rocks RBEC-PELC ( LP pp. 231-233) III- Learning Procedure: A. Pre-Activity: 1. Motivation/Presentation: (SDA) Present a collection of rocks. Call on someone to classify the rocks in any manner a child likes. Ask, “how did you classify the rock sample?” B. Activity Proper: 1. Giving instructions and some precautionary measures to class, 2. Group work (SDA) Distribute the different activity cards to each group.  For group I-Activity on differentiating rocks as to color, texture and shape.  For group II- Test how hard a rock is by “scratch test” (see activity cards attached) C. Post-Activity:(WT) 1. Reporting by groups 2. Analysis and discussion:  How can you determine the hardness of a rock? In what ways can you classify rocks? How do rocks differ? 3. Abstraction and Generalization: How are rocks classified? 4. Application and Valuing: Mr. Santos is a developer of areas for erecting buildings. He then used bulldozer to flatten or keep elevated places low. Is this change beneficial ? Why or Why not? IV. Evaluation :(SDA) V. Assignment: Grade VI I-Objective: Identify the factors that affect the climate of a place. [Appreciate the location of the Philippines in the globe] II-Climate RBEC-PELC (LP. PP. 167-168) III-Learning Procedure A.Pre-Activity: 1.Review:( WT) What are some of the Precautionary measures before and after volcanic eruptions? 2.Motivation: a.Where in the the world map or globe is the Philippines located b.Does the location of the Philippines in the globe affect its climate B. Activity Proper:(WT) 1. Provide each group with a globe or world map and activity sheet. 2. Group work: Learning Activity Sheet- Lesson 64 Find Me What to use: globe or map Instruction: 1. Locate the Philippines is located from the equator. 2. Determine where the Philippines is located from the equator. 3. Measure the distance north/south of the equator. 4. Describe how latitude and altitude affect the climate of a place. C.Post Activity:(WT) Reporting of Outputs Analysis/Discussion: Where is the Philippines located in the globe/map?  What is its measurement north/south of the equator?  What do you call that measurement?  What do you think is the climate of places near the equator?  What can you say about the climate of places located at high altitudes just like Baguio City? 3.Abstraction/Generalization:  What is climate?  What are the factors that affect the climate of a place?  How does the latitude affect the climate of a place?  How does the altitude affect the climate of a place? 4.Application: Which have a colder climate, Baguio or Manila?Why? 5.Valuing: Does climate have an effect on the way of life of the people in a certain place?How would you feel if you have a favorable climate? IV. Evaluation: 1. What two factors affect the climate of a place? 2. How do they affect the climate of a place? V. Assignment: Describe the climate of your place in terms of latitude and altitude.

Pre-Activity: 1. Review: (SDA) 2.Motivation:(WT) Who among your parents are carpenter? Mechanics? What simple machines do they use? How do they use them? Relate their experiences with their parents. B. Activity Proper: 1.Giving instructions and some precautionary measures to class.(Setting Standards) 3.
