Claims
 Claim 1: Differentiating and integrating
  skills improve speaking fluency.


 Claim 2: There is a correlation between
  gender and speaking Portuguese.


 Claim 3: Teacher and more fluent
  students help less fluent students to
  speak Portuguese.
Argument: The level of L2 speaking in a dual
                 language classroom will increase if the
                 teacher differentiates activities and
                 integrates reading, writing, and listening
                 with speaking. Another effective way to
                 promote speaking in the same setting is to
                 group students into cooperative learning
                 groups, according to their levels of
                 proficiency in the target language as well
                 as gender.

• Socializing with students during morning meeting,
  snack, recess, lunch, and dismissal

• Integrating reading, writing, listening and
  speaking with content taught daily

• Providing opportunities for students to write prior
