5. If you already have an account, sign in. If
not, click Create account and follow links.
6. After logging in, the citation is ready to be
imported in RefWorks. Click OK.
7. Click OK, and the item will appear at the
top of the list.
8. Click on the folder icon to copy the citation to an
existing folder or to create a new folder.
Items not saved
to a specific
folder remain in
the original list.
9. To create a bibliography from a folder,
select all items and click on ”.
10. You can select the citation style you want
from the list of hundreds.
11. Note that some items are not completely
accurate and must be fixed manually.
State
abbreviations
should match
current postal
codes (NC nor
N.C.)

in titles should
be capitalized
12. To edit the item, click on the title and then
on the pencil symbol on the right.
13. To add the full text article to RefWorks, save the
article to your computer and upload as an attachment.
14. Another way to save to a folder or create a
new folder is through the left dropdown.

16. Create a reference from scratch by choosing the
type and then adding bibliographic information.
17. Bibliographies can be shared with others and exported
to other citation managers such as Zotero.
