Supplying native teachers for Business
(English for Business)
The importance of learning Business English?
In the 21st century we live ina truly global society, where communication with
almost every part of the world is possible. The spread of English as the
language of international business has made it more important than ever for
people working with colleagues, clients and partners from other countries to
understand each other, so that they can form effective and productive working
relationships.
In order to meet the demands of modern employers, everyone from university
graduates to senior managers must be able use English for work. Effective
internal and external communication is essential to the success of any business,
but professionals who need to communicate with each other as non-native
English speakers can greatly benefit from learning Business English.
3. What is the difference between Business English and General
English?
The truth is, there are probably more similarities than differences. They both
require the development of core skills in fluency, reading, writing and
listening, the application of linguistic principles and, of course, plenty of hard
work. It is important to have a good basis of General English to be able to
communicate effectively. However, Business English courses focus on
particular vocabulary, topics and skills that are applicable to the workplace and
enable you to communicate accurately. Here are some examples:
Making phone/conference calls
Doing presentations
Taking part in meetings
Being involved in negotiations
Writing emails/reports
You will alsobe able to concentrate on topics that are relevant to your industry
or company, which could include law, finance, medicine, IT, Marketing or
Human Resources, while simultaneously enhancing your General English
skills.
English has now become a global language for business all over the world to
such an extent that it is the standard official language in certain industries such
as the shipping and airline industries. It has resulted in the knowledge of
English being a near-mandatory requirement for critical jobs such as airline
pilots and naval officers, etc. Apart from having an impressive command of
spoken English today’s competitive corporate culture demands an equally
impressive command of written English as well. It is mainly because almost
all forms of business communication such as emails, presentations, sales and
marketing and even corporate legal documentation are now carried out in
English.
Understanding these worries, the company Education Hawaii - specializes in
supplying native teachers to teach English – designed the course to meet not
only get what you desire, but also solve your problems: " Business English
program". With 100% native teachers, who have teaching certification (TEFL/
TESOL/ CELTA etc.), professional qualification and come from the countries
4. use English as the first language: the UK, Australia, USA, and Canada, will
help students overcome the difficulties in the process of study.
Benefits of program:
Flexibility is dominant. Company will decide the time and locations
learning.
Check the quality of the input.

will progress in a short time.
Supplying native teachers for Kindergarten
English has fast become the world’s most widelyused and commonly spoken
language today and the need to learn English for kids has increased
exponentially withthis growth. Most countries have now embraced the English
language as a common denominator in communication across a plethora of
fields, from trade & finance to travel. It is this widespreaduse that has defined
it as one of the most influential languages in the world and as such many
parents prefer their children learning English as a second language.
The first advantage is an elementary school age is a brilliant time to learn a
second language. 2-5 of age is the right age to learn a second language beside
the mother language because at that age children have a good brain condition
to receive something new. According to brain imaging technological research
conducted in California, Los Angeles, children aged 2-5 years old who are
commonly known as in critical periods, states that areas of the brain that
organize a language skill has the most rapid growth. Giving them a second
language needs some stages along with their ability. In Kindergarten, we can
tell them vocabulary that is near with their activity or environment with the
pictures.
Understanding these difficulties, the company Hawaii Education supply
quality native teachers to the kindergarten and the appropriate course in
HCMC. English became the necessary tools for the children when Vietnam is
increasingly integrated withthe world. The equipment and knowledge required
to take the language in pre-school age and true methods. With strong
5. experience, with a staff of enthusiastic, professional, Hawaii always try our
best to bring the excellent teachers, with the support dedicated to partners.

with two instructors at once. Content is completely customized. Daily
training modules simulate a variety of real-life situations, so the individual
quickly becomes confident using the new language in both one-on-one and
group situations, in person and over the phone.
Face -to-face Private Program offers the greatest flexibility and
personalization. It is custom designed to meet each individual’s language
learning objectives and schedule. It can include specific language related to
the organization’s needs of the individual’s job. With the instructor’s
undivided attention, the individual spends half the time speaking and half
listening—so he or she is learning 100% of the time. Individuals can progress
at their own pace and receive immediate, specific feedback from the
instructor.
Face-to-face Corporate Program is an economical way to provide language
instruction for teams or co-workers who are at similar proficiency levels and
who have the same needs and objectives. Groups are kept small for
personalized attention to each participant.
Professional English
6. Professional English with careers are always important when the job requires
the employee to have the expertise and the corresponding English skills. It is
somewhat difficult, for example, we will see a word can carry many meanings
depending on the field:
For example, in the Psychology major
Acrophobia: a fear of heights
Cynophobia: a fear of dogs
Lygophobia: a fear of the dark
Besides, it is hard to find the quality teachers that are highly qualified enough

ENGLISH FOR COMMUNICATION

What will the teaching be like ?
11. Teachingis a highly respected profession in Vietnam.Having a good level of
English is extremelyimportant forstudents enteringuniversityand the
workforce. Students are generallyenthusiasticand polite and ourteacher
interns find themselves greatly appreciated bytheirschools and students.
TraditionallyEnglishteachingmethodologyhas focused on grammar and
readingskills and rote-learningofvocabulary.Increasinglyhowever, the
emphasis of schools and government policyhas turned to ensuringthat
students can communicate effectively in English.
Many of our schools lookto their English teachinginterns to provide this
kind of practice for the students. It should be realized however that many
schools and local teachers are still very traditionalin approach and forsome
students you may be theirfirst foreign teacher so you will need to take
things one step at a time!
It may vary slightly, but you are likely to haveup to 20 face-to-face teaching
hours inclusivein a 35-hour week (which includes lesson preparationtime,
meetings, administration etc.),as well as be involved in after school
activities.Manyschools have classes 6 days a week (as theystudyon
Saturdays).
We have placements in local primary and high schools as well as universities.
You may be teaching in only one school or several schools in the same area
who share intern teachers. You should expect to teach many different
classes and age groups even if you are only at one school. We will give you
advice on managinglearners of different ages and how to adapt your
teachingstyle.
Classes in Vietnamese schools tend to be large but we will help you to
acquire techniques formanaginglarger groups.Facilities vary from school to
school with some classrooms havingonly blackboards and rows of long
wooden desks to a few that have modern facilities.
4. Living
Our placement schools are in regions which are comparatively
developed and in locations which havereliable transport links orwhich are
within reasonable distance (e.g. 2 hours)of a large city such as Ho Chi Minh
12. City. However, you should expect to be livinga local lifestyle in a
Vietnamese neighborhood.
There are significant differences in terms of development between
various parts of Vietnam. Some cities are very developed and are rapidly
becoming more westernized, forexample with stores and restaurant chains
that will be familiarto you. Other parts of Vietnam are still developing.
Roads are not always great. Local transport and accommodationare quite
basic. The availabilityofwestern products that you are familiarwith may be
limited.
Cost of living:
If you shop like a local you can live very cheaply in Vietnam.Local food
is usuallygood qualityand most products you need on a dailybasis are
easilyavailable.Local transport is inexpensive. However,Vietnam does have
a well-developed tourism industry and certain places which cater to tourists
charge high prices.
Cost of living in Ho Chi Minh City is 58.55% lower than in New York
(Info)Our estimator(with default settings)estimate monthlyexpenses for a
single person at 9,489,399.64₫ and for four person familyat 34,338,250.53₫
(without rent).
(Source: http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-
living/city_result.jsp?country=Vietnam&city=Ho+Chi+Minh+City)
Shopping:
Prices in Vietnam are very inexpensive, especiallyifyou shop at local
markets. The Vietnamese enjoy the process of bargainingfor the price of an
item. They are professionals at this process, but if you join in the spirit,it is a
lot of fun.In the end, no matter howwell you bargain, you will still get your
purchase at an excellent price – and sometimes the bargainingis onlyover a
few Dong so it is not reallythreatening.
Food:
We don’t know anyone who hasn’t found food to love here!
Vietnamese food is varied, tasty and prettyhealthy.Vietnamese recipes use
13. many vegetables, herbs and spices, includinglemon grass, lime, and kaffir
lime leaves. The main dish is rice noodle soup called “Pho”, often served for
breakfast with either beef (“Bo”), chicken (“Ga”) or Trung (eggs) in clear
beef broth. All foods can be found, with duck, pork, beef, fish and chicken
commonlyserved in manydifferent ways. However, the Vietnamese will
also serve things that you may not be used to (such as frog, snake and even
dog) but there is usuallya choice that you can enjoy.Rice and noodles
(steamed, fried, boiled)are the staples found in a meal.
Western food is widely available in majorcitiies and is of very good
qualityalthoughyou should expect to pay significantlymore for this.In
smaller towns you may find little Western food.Excellent bread and coffee
are widely available.
Money:
The Dong is the legal currency of Vietnam.Vietnam is overwhelmingly
a cash-based society.Hotels and many large shops will accept credit cards
but expect to use cash for everythingelse. While in Vietnam, the best way to
get cash is to use an ATM machine.ATM’s dispense moneyin Vietnamese
Dong.
You could also get a prepaid cash card that acts as an ATM card and
debit card, but is not tied to any bankaccount. It’s also a good idea to bring
a credit card to use for emergencies, such as cash advances.
TTV can assist you to open a Vietnamese bankaccount, which will
have access to local and foreign currency. You will onlyrequire your
passport.
(Note: 1 US Dollarequals 22340.00 Vietnamese Dong – Vietinbank16
May, 2016)
Mobile Phones:
You can buy a new phone in Vietnam for around $25. Then you buy
phone credits (“units”) from street vendors and phone shops.Note that
incomingcalls are free – includingincominginternational calls. You can also
bring yourown phone and buya local SIM card.
14. Internet and Laptops:
WiFi is widelyavailable in Vietnam although it can be unreliable at
times and there are often power cuts. Internet cafes tend to provide WiFi
but expect people to bring theirown laptops rather than providing
computers for you (although manyhotels will do so).
Safety:
Vietnam is generallya safe place to be able to explore.Walkingthe
streets is non-threateningand the Vietnamese generallygo about their
business. In tourist areas street hawkers will approach you to buytheir
goods but a firm ‘’khong” or “no” is enough to put them off. As with all cities
there are places to avoid, and you should exercise caution at all times. Bag
snatchingfrom foreigners is common in tourist areas of Ho Chi Minh City
and Hanoi but just make sure that you are never carrying much cash with
you.
Toilets:
Hotels, restaurants and most homes havewestern “sit” toilets. But
many places do not provide toilet tissue – so buya small roll and carry it
with you everywhere. Next, the used toilet tissue actuallygets placed in the
trash can, not in the toilet bowl.If you are in a rural area or stop at a petrol
station, expect to find a squat toilet.
5.Travel in Vietnam
During yourinternship there will be a little time for you to explore
your local area at the weekends or in short term breaks. However, the idea
of the program is that you ‘Teach’ then ‘Travel’! Most interns spend a few
weeks travellingaround the countryafter theirinternship as there is
certainlya lot to see and enjoy. You will have some time remainingon your
visa at the end of yourinternship so don’t bookyourhome flight too early!
Places to visit in Vietnam
There are so manyspectacularplaces and sights in Vietnam, it is
difficult to condense them into one list and you should definitelyconsult a
15. travel guide before planningyourtrip. However, here are TTV’s top
