My Experience With My Friends
Growing up I could identify my friends whom I found to be more sensitive, friendly and
imaginative. These were the friends that I could turn to when I had a problem I needed to talk
through or someone who was sincere and honest in their advice while being mindful of my
feelings. I could also identify with these friends because I have always been one to make sure
everyone else is taken care of before myself. These "blues" are the most genuine people I have met
throughout life, but I have also found in my classroom. Just three days ago, one of my students
answered a question that normally does not volunteer to participate. He answered correctly and his
fellow peer whom he is not within the same social circle could not be more proud of him. She was
astonished and proud of his answer and continued to whisper (loudly) across the room good job with
her thumbs up until he realized her recognition and smiled back with a thank you. I was so proud to
have this student in my classroom showing such compassion for another student. This generation is
criticized for only thinking of themselves and although not untrue, it is moments like that, that
remind me of how lucky I am to have blues in the classroom. As blues strengths including caring for
others and sharing their emotions are compromised by them feeling hurt or treated unjustly, they
take it personally. It's important to reassure and validate their feelings. Lastly are the students who
carefully analyze my words, actions,

Best Friend Becomes Enemy
Best friend becomes enemy. It was first day of summer. School almost finished. It was sunny and
windy day. I was happy that school almost finished. My friend and I were sitting at the park. We
were planning how to spend this long summer. George, my friend, gave me many plans for this
summer but I didn't agree with him. He was a lazy gay. His plan was: sleep till 11 a.m., and then
play video games till 5 p.m. and then go to sleep. He says that this must continue every day. I
didn't like it and gave him some advices for summer. My plan for summer was: Find a good job
and work there for two month, and then if we collect our money, we can buy whatever you want. He
didn't like my plan but he agreed. We found...show more content...
I looked for mail and there was one box. I looked for it and there was money which my father sent to
me yesterday. I was packing my money to be ready for tomorrow. I tried to spent my time bit it
was too hard. I tried to sleep but I couldn't because I was thinking about my mom. Is she good or
not. Is she sick or not. I didn.t know anything about my mom but I will know it tomorrow. I woke
up at 6 p.m. I wore my cloth and went to mall. There was one problem. I forgot my money which I
packed yesterday. I went back again to home and took it. Now I was ready to go mall. I was in mall.
I was waiting for a call. And suddenly phone rang. I took a phone and strange man said "I will be
waiting for in Apple Store". I went there and there were too many people. I saw my mom and
George, my friend, near to her. He was holding a gun in his hand. And conversation began:
–"Hey is it you George who wants money?"
–"Yes, it is me" he said "Now give me my money". I gave him $10,000 and he run away from mall . I
didn't call polis. I was happy that my mom safe. She was good and not sick. I wasn't happy to
George. He knew that I will make $7,200 from my job and I will get $2,800 somewhere. But it
was ok. My mom was safe and it is important. I knew that he did it because I said to his girlfriend
that he is layer and after this my mom was taken by him. I never thought that my best friend

Argumentative Essay : My Best Friend
ENGL1C – SJCC

First Paper
Before beginning the essay, I will provide a brief introduction of two main characters in this
argument. My best friend, Natalie, and her boyfriend, Peter, rarely agree on anything. They share
different interests and hobbies. One of the all–time arguments between them which never seem to
have an answer is that if they have a budget, they have to decide whether they should visit Korea
or Japan. Peter wants to visit Japan while Natalie prefers Korea. They asked me to be the counselor
since I would be neutral, so I got a chance to listen to their arguments and how they prove their
points. They used many fallacies in their arguments like generalization and slippery slope, but the
three...show more content...
Another obvious fallacy that they employed is the Common Practice, also known as the
"Bandwagon approach." The Bandwagon approach simply indicates that if the majority of
people do something or believe in something, then it must be right. When being asked why she
wants to go to Korea, Natalie answered that nowadays a lot of people chose Korea as a place to
travel. She kept seeing photos of people "checking in" in Korea on Instagram, and she found this
place is really worth going to. Instagram is the popular social network which allows users to take
and share photos and videos. When I say "check–in," I mean that when users want to announce their
photo's location on Instagram, they can hit the "check–in" button. It will show a list of places, and
they will choose the one that matches their current location. Natalie has always wished to visit
Korea, and now more and more of her friends and her acquaintances go to this country. Indeed, she
wants to get her boyfriend on board with her on this. Natalie knows that Peter does not like sushi,
so she asked him how could he go to Japan while he cannot eat sushi? His response was also based
on the majority. He claimed that everyone who visits Japan has to try the traditional sushi, so if
they go there, they would also try that. Perhaps sushi in Japan would taste better than the one he
used to eat. In this case, it is hard to decide whether the bandwagon approach helps or damages

My Best Friend
Have you ever had someone in your life who helped you figure out who you were? Someone who
showed you the right path. Someone who was there right next you even if you did not take that
path. Someone who always seemed to be right, but never held it against you when you were not.
Someone whom without your life would most likely be entirely different. I have. Her name was
Jessica. Jessica was more than my neighbor. She was more than my mentor. She was my best friend.
Jessica lived three houses down from me when I moved into a new neighborhood. She made moving
to a new neighborhood a lot easier. She was one of those people who was friends with everybody.
She was friends with everyone because she was so special....show more content...
She would listen to you. She would be your friend, even if she just met you. I can not remember a
time when she had something unpleasant to say about someone. That was one of many valuable
lessons I learned from her and have made apart of my life.
She seemed to know everything. Anytime I had a perplexing question I knew she would know
what to tell me. Her wisdom spanned several subjects. Everything from the textbook things they
wanted me to learn in school, to the life lessons that there are no textbooks for. She taught me by
example. She showed me that it was just a waste of my time and energy getting mad, upset, angry
or so irate that I allowed myself to be controlled by my emotions. She was always calm, patient, and
even tempered when faced with people who were less than pleasant to be around. I learned from
watching her deal with people that being nice never fails. And I learned from watching her deal
with the situations life would present that as long as you gave everything you had to give and never
quit, you could never be beat.
Jessica was a truly amazing friend. She was a true friend. I could always depend on her being
there for me with the right words of advice. Even if I did not want to hear what she was saying.
She had been exactly where I was and she knew how perilous the journey of adolescence could be.
She informed and guided me in my choices. Yet she never forced anything on me. My

Friends will come and go like the leaves of a breezy fall day. But some stick around even on the
worst days. As the lights beam down on me at a Shippensburg soccer game with my best friend
Izzy, a thought crossed my mind. What if we had never met? All of our memorable adventures we
experienced together. Like Black Friday Shopping, Hersheypark, Sky Zone, and our trip to
Baltimore together would have never happened. So I'm taken back to that wildcard day in third
grade when I met Isabel Soliday. It was a breezy October day, school had started to get into the
swing. I was in third grade at the time. Since I was the youngest in my building, I was feeling like
a weed in a forest full of tree's. At the time school was lonely, none of my friends had even one
class with me, and in their free time, they were playing with there new friends. Little did I know,
that day I would meet one of my best friends to this day. I don't know what we were working on, but
I do remember we picked sticks to determine our partners. Sticking my hand in the cold metal tin, I
reached in and picked the number twenty–two. As Mrs. Keenan called the number, I looked into the
crowd of kids to see a blonde freckled girl standing there.
After everyone was done picking their partners, we found a seat at the front of the room on the soft,
brown, but worn carpet. As we worked, we talked quietly, until we had so much passion for the
subject our voices carried to others.
After class was over, we

Persuasive Essay About My Best Friends
Making never thought to be friends. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would ever be
friends with Julie. I have never seen her in 2 years and suddenly we're best friends. Goes when
we never saw each other, she ran away, the carnival, and the movies. First, when I first started
going to my grandmother's when I was 9. My aunt Jessica still was friends with my grandmother
albeit she is her daughter. So I would come over to their house. I never talked to Julie so I didn't
know much about her. I would usually play with Jacob or Jami. One day when Jessica's husband,
Josh left, Jami at the park by herself, and someone calls Child Protective Services on them and we
don't know who, but they said that my grandmother called. Now I know for a fact that she didn't
and whoever said she did is lying. Jessica was enraged by this and never talked to my grandmother
once. So I never was allowed to see that part of the family often. When Julie was younger, she
believed in that grandmother was in the wrong. (Complex)
Second, once Julie turned 18 she escaped out of the house with barely anything of hers. She was not
treated well in that house. After 2 years, she found love for my grandmother. (Complex) She went to
my grandmother's to have a place to stay, she had her a boyfriend Kyle is staying with her. She is
staying there for how long, I don't know. When I went there for the summertime like I
conventionally do. I said hi to her, so casually we became friends. She brought me to drive to the
movies with her boyfriend and his acquaintances. It was an ok movie but it wasn't that terrific.
Third, we are fairly proximate friends now she by chance will bring me places with her. Where
we customarily drive was Jewel Osco, which is like 10 minutes away from my grandmother's.
She usually goes there like every other day, but not when the car has no gas. (Compound) She
brought me to the fair in Peoria. It was frolicsome only on the first day, for marginally of the time.
(Compound) The last time I went there It was just us so it was fun. She bought tickets for her and
me, she didn't buy and other tickets, we kenned we weren't going to be there for long so It didn't in
reality establish sense to waste Mazuma. So we went on the

Dogs Are Our Best Friend
For many years, it has been said that man's best friend is a dog. Through the years there has been
studies showing the positive results of having a dog in or out of a house, whether it be
emotionally, mentally, or physically. Not only have humans been able to form strong bonds with
these animals for their companionship but also for their protective instincts. Now, dogs are not
the only animals that allow for these positive outcomes, but there could also be other animals
such as cats, rabbits, reptiles, horses, and even farm animals that could have the same results.
Animals have been taught to detect different dangerous objects such as bombs, also sniff out
drugs, they have been trained to become service animals, and also they have been able to be
domesticated in order to live with humans. Without these animals our lives could hold possibility
of being drastically changed. For the longest time we have known that dogs are our best friend for
not only their loyalty, but also your their quick ability to learn. In an article by Harvard Health
Publishing, it states how dogs are not only our best friends but can also be the best friend of our
hearts. "The evidence reviewed by the American Heart Association (AHA) indicates that dog owners
are more likely to exercise, have a better cholesterol profile, have lower blood pressure, be less
vulnerable to the physical effects of stress, and be more likely to survive a heart attack"(DeNoon,
2013). Just because there is research for

A Man's Best Friend Essay
"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, and your dog. You are his life, his love, and his
leader. He will be yours, faithful, and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be
worthy of such devotion." –Unknown.
There are a lot of things that dogs do for us as people and that is why dogs are usually referred to as
man's best friend. A dog is a great pet to have because it is good for your health, they can make good
guards, and they provide you with the emotional stimulus you need.
Having a pet dog improves your physical and mental wellbeing. Pets encourage you to get out and
exercise. Whether we walk our dogs because they need it, or are more likely to enjoy a walk when
we have companionship, dog owners do spend...show more content...
Homeowners with dogs as pets, whether housed indoors or outdoors, will probably experience
fewer burglary attempts than those without dogs or other security systems. Dogs are protective of
their domain and their masters, so you will be in good paws.
Pets ward off loneliness and provide unconditional love. Pets can be there for you in many ways
that people can't. A pet never judges you and they continue to love you in spite of your flaws and
mistakes. Dogs serve us sometimes without asking or waiting not seeking any benefits for
themselves. When you have just arrived home from work, they are ready and patiently waiting
for you at the door so they can greet you right away. Your dog might wait for you to bend down so
he can lick your face to give you his kisses or your dog might even jump up to you to show how
much he missed you.
They can offer love and companionship, and can also enjoy comfortable silences, keep secrets and
are excellent snugglers. And they could be the best antidotes to loneliness. All of these benefits can
reduce the amount of stress people experience in response to lack of social support from people.
Dogs make terrific companions. They seem to sense when a master is feeling low, and they will
eagerly stick a cold nose into your hand or lick your face. Dogs lie faithfully at your feet and rarely
talk back, except when trained to do so. A dog will go anywhere that you do without

My Cousin Is My Best Friend
Some people don't even know their cousins or they don't talk to them at all. That is not the case for
me. My cousin is my best friend. She has been my best friend since I was little. She is a big part of
my life and I can tell her everything. We lived down the road from each other for many years and
we would be together all the time. We were inseparable and we still are today. My cousin, Brie
Pulczinski, is a big influence on my life. She is 19 years old and she lives in West Fargo, so not too
far away. Some cousins look alike somewhat but Brie and I do not look alike at all. Brie has dark
brown hair–almost black. We are about the same height. Brie has a great personality, there are so
many reasons to love her. She is someone I can look up to and always go to for advice. Also, it
seems like a lot of stuff doesn't get her down and if she is down she is not a person to constantly
complain about it. We may be five years apart in age but when we are together none of that
matters. Brie and I are alike in so many ways. There are so many memories we have together;
some good, some bad but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I'm not going to lie, when we were
younger we were trouble makers. Brie was not a very good influence when we were younger. Her
and her brother Chase would always try to make me do stuff to get me in trouble. When I was
younger, they were the older kids and I always wanted to be cool just like them. So, I did literally
everything they told me to do. Which

Friendship Essay: What Makes A Good Friend?
A friend is someone difficult to find. A friend is someone you can always count on when times
are tough. The dictionary's definition of a good friend is a person attached to another by feelings
of affection or personal regard. A good friend is there when you are struggling. For example,
when a boy breaks your heart a good friend walks you through it and offers a shoulder to cry on.
According to Bree Neff, a good friend is someone who is trustworthy, doesn't talk behind your
back, listens to your problems, gives good advice and tries to lend humor along with his or her
support. There are also bad friends, those who pretend to care and then turn around gossiping and
starting drama. Good and bad friends are all around you, involved in...show more content...
You want friends that show they care and do not resent your achievements. A good friend sees
good in your accomplishments; because of this they will not want you to do poorly and will
always be looking out for you, hoping you do your best. A trustworthy friend is someone you can
count on no matter what. They are someone you can call in the middle of the night and vent to, or
just talk. They are someone who, if they say they are going to do something, they do it and don't
bail out. Good friends are people with whom you can talk to and trust with your secrets. You can
tell a friend anything and know they won't open their mouth just for the fun of it because they
like and respect you too much to hurt you. If you have something you feel like you can't tell
anyone about, they are the friends you can tell. A good friend is someone who when you tell
them personal stuff you don't have to worry, you know your secret is safe. Trusted friends are
those you can tell your flaws to and know your revelations are safe. Sometimes after you tell
people certain information you think: "What in the world was I thinking?" but a trustworthy person
won't ever make you feel like that. What is a loyal friend? A loyal friend is someone who never lets
you down. They are someone who does things with you even though these things maybe totally
boring, but they still do them. Loyal friends won't back out at the last second. They stick with

About Me! By: Jonna S. My Best friend My best friend is amazing! Ever since the first day of
school she's been there. Basically what happened was on the first day I was at silver hills and had
no idea who anyone was so i just sat at a table and she was like, "Hi I'm Daphnie what's your
name?," of course i said Jonna cause that's my name. Eventually we ran into each other at lunch
so we sat down and talked for awhile to each other and then we walked to my next class and I was
like wow you wanna be friends. She said of course cause i mean come on i'm amazing! Honestly
we had a lot of good memories together from the 6th grade and i'm very excited to create brand
new ones with her. She is amazing and I see perfection in her even though she disagrees i don't
care she is perfect in my eyes and i will always be there for her I don't care what happens between
us and i just wanna say thank you and i love you best friend! My Runaway! Hot air, windy breeze,
beating sun, blooming season and a nice boring day! The exotic yellow bus speeding through the
overpowering wind and it took a nice sharp stop. We got off the bus and that's when our
adventurous day started. But really, what we thought was a fun day, others thought we were crazy
and scared for us! For example, both of our entire households. This is how it all started. It was a very
casual afternoon throughout school. Nothing different from any other day, until we got on the bus.

Friends
Welcome to "New York," where the folks are friendly, the buildings never falter, and all quarrels end
with a quip. Not to be found on the East Coast, this Burbank, California–based "New York" is the
setting of "Friends," the popular situation comedy that first aired on NBC in 1994. With roughly

Before critiquing the more problematic aspects of "Friends," one must understand what makes the

Title: Should parents be best friends with their kids? Parents can be friends with their kids, but never

there's a lot of misinterpretation between them which creates trust issues, tantrums besides more
which is not going to beneficial either of them.
It's very important to have good communication with your kids this can make your relationships
stronger and less problematic, which is best for both worlds. Kids in this generation aren't a big fan
of strict parents. There are many pros and cons when it comes to strict parenting. Kids of strict
parents tend to become exceptional liars and become more recalcitrant. They grow up to have less
self–assurance. There's no good communication between them and often tend to lie and keep secrets
from them since they are scared that their parents might oppose or castigate them for their opinion
or thoughts. These parents often make most of their kids important life decisions which lead them
to blind obedience, these kids as adolescents become more inclined to to peer pressure as well as in
their adulthood they never consider any of their choices as they were not trained to think

The "Best" Friend I feel a vibration in my pocket, I check my phone and I'm surprised to get an
invitation from Rod, my ex–bestfriend. I haven't hung out with this group for years, but I decide to
attend and maybe reconnect with them. I walk into the door, and I'm greeted with a big smile
from "friends" that I haven't really talked to in years. As we watch the UCLA football game, and
more people walk into the house, I start to greet them cautiously. "Hey jeet," said one of them as
they walked through the door. Baljeet was a name given to me on the last day of elementary
school, and that nickname brought up some bad memories. But after years of ridicule, I learned
to just ignore it. Rod turns on the Xbox, like he would any other night of the week, and my
friends start playing NBA 2k18. As I sit on the couch in the back of the room silently, I start to
think why I'm here and what happened to my relationship with Rod over the years. It was fifth
grade during a two week stretch where we spent time with each other almost every other day. We
could spend all these hours together and never get bored. And this day was no different, Rod went

Meeting My Best Friend Essay
There is nothing in life that can compare to meeting your other half. Meeting my best friend was
definitely a life changing event in the best way. She is the most loyal and absolutely the most
trustworthy long–term friendships that I have ever experienced. I have been given the opportunity
in life to come face to face with my best friend, she has changed my life in various ways. No one
that I have met can compete with how well her and I mix. Like peanut butter and jelly, we are
good alone but better together. Through thick and thin my best friend and I have lasted 8 going 9
years, and I know that there will be more to come.

To this day Maria is my ride or die, we kept growing up and when my father got me a car for my
birthday it became even better. We both see each other almost every week and hang out to eat,
shop, or simply go over each others house. We both have so many similarities in our lives and
personalities, we definitely never take that for granted. She has persistently gotten me through all
of my rough patches, with that being said, every time we talk she knew what I need to hear to get
me through or get ahead of it in life. Nonetheless, we are very alike, but we still obviously have
our differences, yet I admire how we will always cooperate and try to imagine and picture
ourselves in the other person's position. She always gives me her best friend and at the same time
her motherly advice. She is kind hearted, but is not afraid to rip the bandage when needed. We both
gossip and laugh about everything! Our conversations can go on for the longest time. There is
nothing but love to the fact that we will manage our time for each other even if our schedules are a
little hassled.
On top of that, maturing in life is very important to me. I never want to have a friend that doesn't
grow. I confront everything life throws at my direction. Weirdly, with all of the struggles Maria and
I have had together, it has definitely helped us mature together in life. To this day I couldn't be more
grateful to the fact that we both

Personal Narrative Essay : My Best Friend
My best friend is always there when I need her the most, has my back when times get rough, and I

have been best friends for nine years and counting. We met in the third grade. I was introduced to

years because of our loyalty, listening ear, and always being there for each other. From third
grade to sixth grade Tea and I were stuck together like glue. Every day after school we would call
each other on the house phone and we would talk for hours. When it was time for the weekend I

My way of life has never been what anyone would call normal. It's only second nature to hear the

recently, I can say that a group of friends that I became close to during my senior year of high school

we don't see that as a negative thing. Hard as it may be to believe, we don't want to be like
everyone else. We don't do many things that may be considered "normal" to most people, leading
others to think we are restricted by all of our rules. On the contrary, we don't have to worry about
the consequences that come from doing things that are "popular." It's also nice that people can
know the difference between someone from our church and everyone else in the world, just from
how we act. Nothing in the world could compare to the joy that I have found from the church.
Plus, if I wasn't a member, I would probably never have met my friends. Being in the minority, my
friends and I have made the most of all we have, and sometimes even take our "weirdness" to new
levels.
These friends have given me an experience that has helped shape the person that I am today. I
didn't always like to step outside of my comfort zone. I used to have a twinge of fear that people
would secretly think I was an idiot, which used to bother me. Thanks to my friends, they made
acting stupid seem like the greatest thrill of your life. I'd known most of my friends since my
freshman year in high school through activities and classes at church, but I never really did anything
with them since we went to rival schools. Then one night, at the end of November last year, the guys

Being My Own Best Friend
Being my own best friend would help me reflect on my decisions and thought processes as an
objective observer. As any best friend would do, I would try to give myself advice, try and help
myself be a better individual. If I were my own best friend, I would advise myself to stop being such
a perfectionist in everything.
I overthink things way too often: "If I hang out with my friend after school today, would I have
enough time to finish my homework? Which is more fun: going out with my friends, or staying at
home?" If I do this, if I do that. Whenever there 's a decision to be made, my mind can never make
itself up; it always seems to want to go through every possible outcome to decided which is the best
one – the perfect course of action. I can't count the number of times my mind has been so
indecisive, though I do remember stepping down as a presidential candidate in elementary school.
For the life of me, I can't remember why I did what I did; I was probably afraid of some sort of
backlash, or of simply not winning. If I were my own best friend all those years ago (especially if
I were the age I am now), that would not have happened, at least not without reason. As my own
best friend, I would tell myself to make up my mind. I would urge myself to stop thinking of the
worst–case scenario, because I am usually wrong; things almost never happen the way I think they
will.
Making decisions aren 't the only thing I over think. I stay mostly in my head and try to think

Personal Essay : My Sister, My Best Friend
Out of anyone in my life, my sister is truly the person I respect and look up the most We have had
our ups and downs but she is always there for me when I need her and I am always there for her
when I can be. She's my sister, best friend but most importantly my twin sister. She's the one I
grew up with, the one that's always there for me. We have a bond that nobody or anything could
break. As close as we are today I can say I would be completely lost without her.
My sister and I have moments where we both feel weird whenever we are not around each other
because as I twin we feel like we can't be separate for one minute. Either of both of us will start
missing each other like crazy. And that is just a thing her and me have. And when it comes to
missing my sister I get crazy because I just can't be with anybody else but her. And I mean it
because I will start, texting her, calling her, I will do anything to be together every day. But having
a conversation is important when it comes not talking to each other. According to Albert's he once
said: " Conversation plays, an important role in friendship as well." (Albert's, p.190). Having a
conversation to one each other it is really important because you will know what the person is feeling
today or tomorrow, it is a good thing that people communicate because is simply the act of
transferring information from one place to another.
However, as grown women's we are, it is time to face reality we will have to separate each other one

Best Friends Essay

  • 1. My Experience With My Friends Growing up I could identify my friends whom I found to be more sensitive, friendly and imaginative. These were the friends that I could turn to when I had a problem I needed to talk through or someone who was sincere and honest in their advice while being mindful of my feelings. I could also identify with these friends because I have always been one to make sure everyone else is taken care of before myself. These "blues" are the most genuine people I have met throughout life, but I have also found in my classroom. Just three days ago, one of my students answered a question that normally does not volunteer to participate. He answered correctly and his fellow peer whom he is not within the same social circle could not be more proud of him. She was astonished and proud of his answer and continued to whisper (loudly) across the room good job with her thumbs up until he realized her recognition and smiled back with a thank you. I was so proud to have this student in my classroom showing such compassion for another student. This generation is criticized for only thinking of themselves and although not untrue, it is moments like that, that remind me of how lucky I am to have blues in the classroom. As blues strengths including caring for others and sharing their emotions are compromised by them feeling hurt or treated unjustly, they take it personally. It's important to reassure and validate their feelings. Lastly are the students who carefully analyze my words, actions, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My friend and I were sitting at the park. We were planning how to spend this long summer. George, my friend, gave me many plans for this summer but I didn't agree with him. He was a lazy gay. His plan was: sleep till 11 a.m., and then play video games till 5 p.m. and then go to sleep. He says that this must continue every day. I didn't like it and gave him some advices for summer. My plan for summer was: Find a good job and work there for two month, and then if we collect our money, we can buy whatever you want. He didn't like my plan but he agreed. • 3. Argumentative Essay : My Best Friend ENGL1C – SJCC Name: Ngan T. Bui ID: 0860066 First Paper Before beginning the essay, I will provide a brief introduction of two main characters in this argument. My best friend, Natalie, and her boyfriend, Peter, rarely agree on anything. They share different interests and hobbies. One of the all–time arguments between them which never seem to have an answer is that if they have a budget, they have to decide whether they should visit Korea or Japan. Peter wants to visit Japan while Natalie prefers Korea. They asked me to be the counselor since I would be neutral, so I got a chance to listen to their arguments and how they prove their points. They used many fallacies in their arguments like generalization and slippery slope, but the three...show more content... Another obvious fallacy that they employed is the Common Practice, also known as the "Bandwagon approach." The Bandwagon approach simply indicates that if the majority of people do something or believe in something, then it must be right. When being asked why she wants to go to Korea, Natalie answered that nowadays a lot of people chose Korea as a place to travel. She kept seeing photos of people "checking in" in Korea on Instagram, and she found this place is really worth going to. Instagram is the popular social network which allows users to take and share photos and videos. When I say "check–in," I mean that when users want to announce their photo's location on Instagram, they can hit the "check–in" button. It will show a list of places, and they will choose the one that matches their current location. Natalie has always wished to visit Korea, and now more and more of her friends and her acquaintances go to this country. Indeed, she wants to get her boyfriend on board with her on this. Natalie knows that Peter does not like sushi, so she asked him how could he go to Japan while he cannot eat sushi? His response was also based on the majority. He claimed that everyone who visits Japan has to try the traditional sushi, so if they go there, they would also try that. Perhaps sushi in Japan would taste better than the one he used to eat. In this case, it is hard to decide whether the bandwagon approach helps or damages Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Best Friend Essay My Best Friend Have you ever had someone in your life who helped you figure out who you were? Someone who showed you the right path. Someone who was there right next you even if you did not take that path. Someone who always seemed to be right, but never held it against you when you were not. Someone whom without your life would most likely be entirely different. I have. Her name was Jessica. Jessica was more than my neighbor. She was more than my mentor. She was my best friend. I can not remember a time when she had something unpleasant to say about someone. That was one of many valuable lessons I learned from her and have made apart of my life. She seemed to know everything. Anytime I had a perplexing question I knew she would know what to tell me. Her wisdom spanned several subjects. Everything from the textbook things they wanted me to learn in school, to the life lessons that there are no textbooks for. She taught me by example. She showed me that it was just a waste of my time and energy getting mad, upset, angry or so irate that I allowed myself to be controlled by my emotions. She was always calm, patient, and even tempered when faced with people who were less than pleasant to be around. I learned from watching her deal with people that being nice never fails. And I learned from watching her deal with the situations life would present that as long as you gave everything you had to give and never quit, you could never be beat. Jessica was a truly amazing friend. She was a true friend. I could always depend on her being there for me with the right words of advice. Even if I did not want to hear what she was saying. She had been exactly where I was and she knew how perilous the journey of adolescence could be. She informed and guided me in my choices. Yet she never forced anything on me. • 5. My Best Friend Essay Friends will come and go like the leaves of a breezy fall day. But some stick around even on the worst days. As the lights beam down on me at a Shippensburg soccer game with my best friend Izzy, a thought crossed my mind. What if we had never met? All of our memorable adventures we experienced together. Like Black Friday Shopping, Hersheypark, Sky Zone, and our trip to Baltimore together would have never happened. So I'm taken back to that wildcard day in third grade when I met Isabel Soliday. It was a breezy October day, school had started to get into the swing. I was in third grade at the time. Since I was the youngest in my building, I was feeling like a weed in a forest full of tree's. At the time school was lonely, none of my friends had even one class with me, and in their free time, they were playing with there new friends. Little did I know, that day I would meet one of my best friends to this day. I don't know what we were working on, but I do remember we picked sticks to determine our partners. Sticking my hand in the cold metal tin, I reached in and picked the number twenty–two. As Mrs. Keenan called the number, I looked into the crowd of kids to see a blonde freckled girl standing there. After everyone was done picking their partners, we found a seat at the front of the room on the soft, brown, but worn carpet. As we worked, we talked quietly, until we had so much passion for the subject our voices carried to others. After class was over, we Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Persuasive Essay About My Best Friends Making never thought to be friends. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would ever be friends with Julie. I have never seen her in 2 years and suddenly we're best friends. Goes when we never saw each other, she ran away, the carnival, and the movies. First, when I first started going to my grandmother's when I was 9. My aunt Jessica still was friends with my grandmother albeit she is her daughter. So I would come over to their house. I never talked to Julie so I didn't know much about her. I would usually play with Jacob or Jami. One day when Jessica's husband, Josh left, Jami at the park by herself, and someone calls Child Protective Services on them and we don't know who, but they said that my grandmother called. Now I know for a fact that she didn't and whoever said she did is lying. Jessica was enraged by this and never talked to my grandmother once. So I never was allowed to see that part of the family often. When Julie was younger, she believed in that grandmother was in the wrong. (Complex) Second, once Julie turned 18 she escaped out of the house with barely anything of hers. She was not treated well in that house. After 2 years, she found love for my grandmother. (Complex) She went to my grandmother's to have a place to stay, she had her a boyfriend Kyle is staying with her. She is staying there for how long, I don't know. When I went there for the summertime like I conventionally do. I said hi to her, so casually we became friends. She brought me to drive to the movies with her boyfriend and his acquaintances. It was an ok movie but it wasn't that terrific. Third, we are fairly proximate friends now she by chance will bring me places with her. Where we customarily drive was Jewel Osco, which is like 10 minutes away from my grandmother's. She usually goes there like every other day, but not when the car has no gas. (Compound) She brought me to the fair in Peoria. It was frolicsome only on the first day, for marginally of the time. (Compound) The last time I went there It was just us so it was fun. • 7. Dogs Are Our Best Friend For many years, it has been said that man's best friend is a dog. Through the years there has been studies showing the positive results of having a dog in or out of a house, whether it be emotionally, mentally, or physically. Not only have humans been able to form strong bonds with these animals for their companionship but also for their protective instincts. Now, dogs are not the only animals that allow for these positive outcomes, but there could also be other animals such as cats, rabbits, reptiles, horses, and even farm animals that could have the same results. Animals have been taught to detect different dangerous objects such as bombs, also sniff out drugs, they have been trained to become service animals, and also they have been able to be domesticated in order to live with humans. Without these animals our lives could hold possibility of being drastically changed. For the longest time we have known that dogs are our best friend for not only their loyalty, but also your their quick ability to learn. In an article by Harvard Health Publishing, it states how dogs are not only our best friends but can also be the best friend of our hearts. "The evidence reviewed by the American Heart Association (AHA) indicates that dog owners are more likely to exercise, have a better cholesterol profile, have lower blood pressure, be less vulnerable to the physical effects of stress, and be more likely to survive a heart attack"(DeNoon, 2013). There are a lot of things that dogs do for us as people and that is why dogs are usually referred to as man's best friend. A dog is a great pet to have because it is good for your health, they can make good guards, and they provide you with the emotional stimulus you need. Dogs are protective of their domain and their masters, so you will be in good paws. Pets ward off loneliness and provide unconditional love. Pets can be there for you in many ways that people can't. A pet never judges you and they continue to love you in spite of your flaws and mistakes. Dogs serve us sometimes without asking or waiting not seeking any benefits for themselves. When you have just arrived home from work, they are ready and patiently waiting for you at the door so they can greet you right away. Your dog might wait for you to bend down so he can lick your face to give you his kisses or your dog might even jump up to you to show how much he missed you. They can offer love and companionship, and can also enjoy comfortable silences, keep secrets and are excellent snugglers. And they could be the best antidotes to loneliness. All of these benefits can reduce the amount of stress people experience in response to lack of social support from people. Dogs make terrific companions. They seem to sense when a master is feeling low, and they will eagerly stick a cold nose into your hand or lick your face. She has been my best friend since I was little. She is a big part of my life and I can tell her everything. We lived down the road from each other for many years and we would be together all the time. We were inseparable and we still are today. My cousin, Brie Pulczinski, is a big influence on my life. She is 19 years old and she lives in West Fargo, so not too far away. Some cousins look alike somewhat but Brie and I do not look alike at all. Brie has dark brown hair–almost black. We are about the same height. Brie has a great personality, there are so many reasons to love her. She is someone I can look up to and always go to for advice. Also, it seems like a lot of stuff doesn't get her down and if she is down she is not a person to constantly complain about it. We may be five years apart in age but when we are together none of that matters. Brie and I are alike in so many ways. There are so many memories we have together; some good, some bad but I wouldn't trade them for the world. I'm not going to lie, when we were younger we were trouble makers. Brie was not a very good influence when we were younger. Her and her brother Chase would always try to make me do stuff to get me in trouble. When I was younger, they were the older kids and I always wanted to be cool just like them. So, I did literally everything they told me to do. Which Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 16. Descriptive Essay About My Best Friend The "Best" Friend I feel a vibration in my pocket, I check my phone and I'm surprised to get an invitation from Rod, my ex–bestfriend. I haven't hung out with this group for years, but I decide to attend and maybe reconnect with them. I walk into the door, and I'm greeted with a big smile from "friends" that I haven't really talked to in years. As we watch the UCLA football game, and more people walk into the house, I start to greet them cautiously. "Hey jeet," said one of them as they walked through the door. Baljeet was a name given to me on the last day of elementary school, and that nickname brought up some bad memories. But after years of ridicule, I learned to just ignore it. Rod turns on the Xbox, like he would any other night of the week, and my friends start playing NBA 2k18. As I sit on the couch in the back of the room silently, I start to think why I'm here and what happened to my relationship with Rod over the years. It was fifth grade during a two week stretch where we spent time with each other almost every other day. We could spend all these hours together and never get bored. And this day was no different, Rod went bowling the day before and I discovered cup–stacking. I tried to show off my cup–stacking skills in a 3–2–1 formation, like a fair game. Then, he took a baseball and hurled it at my creation. Like telepathic twins, the same idea came to both of our minds: "Let's make a..." I proposed, "Carnival" Rod yelled out. We both laughed at the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Meeting My Best Friend Essay There is nothing in life that can compare to meeting your other half. Meeting my best friend was definitely a life changing event in the best way. She is the most loyal and absolutely the most trustworthy long–term friendships that I have ever experienced. I have been given the opportunity in life to come face to face with my best friend, she has changed my life in various ways. No one that I have met can compete with how well her and I mix. Like peanut butter and jelly, we are good alone but better together. Through thick and thin my best friend and I have lasted 8 going 9 years, and I know that there will be more to come. My best friends' name is Maria Carvallo, she is without a doubt my go to. We met in 7th grade at Glades Middle...show more content... To this day Maria is my ride or die, we kept growing up and when my father got me a car for my birthday it became even better. We both see each other almost every week and hang out to eat, shop, or simply go over each others house. We both have so many similarities in our lives and personalities, we definitely never take that for granted. She has persistently gotten me through all of my rough patches, with that being said, every time we talk she knew what I need to hear to get me through or get ahead of it in life. Nonetheless, we are very alike, but we still obviously have our differences, yet I admire how we will always cooperate and try to imagine and picture ourselves in the other person's position. She always gives me her best friend and at the same time her motherly advice. She is kind hearted, but is not afraid to rip the bandage when needed. We both gossip and laugh about everything! Our conversations can go on for the longest time. There is nothing but love to the fact that we will manage our time for each other even if our schedules are a little hassled. On top of that, maturing in life is very important to me. I never want to have a friend that doesn't grow. I confront everything life throws at my direction. Weirdly, with all of the struggles Maria and I have had together, it has definitely helped us mature together in life. To this day I couldn't be more grateful to the fact that we both Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Personal Narrative Essay : My Best Friend My best friend is always there when I need her the most, has my back when times get rough, and I can always tell her my deepest darkest secrets. My best friend's name is Tea Elaine Valentine. We have been best friends for nine years and counting. We met in the third grade. I was introduced to Tea by another friend of mine. She thought I was weird at first, but as she got to know me we have been best friends ever since. Tea and I are two different people. Tea is more of the outspoken, no filter, and whatever comes to mind is said. I'm more of the quiet and laid back. I have learned many things from Tea like learning how to speak up for myself, never to let anyone walk all over me, and it is okay to say how you feel. Are friendships have stayed strong this many years because of our loyalty, listening ear, and always being there for each other. From third grade to sixth grade Tea and I were stuck together like glue. Every day after school we would call each other on the house phone and we would talk for hours. When it was time for the weekend I was always at her house or she was at my house to spend the night. My after school routine was the same as always but this phone conversation started off different. "I have something to tell you," Tea said."Yes?" I replied. She said "I'm moving to Big Rapids next year" . After hearing this news I was so devastated. I felt like I was losing my best friend. She was only moving three hours away, I felt like she was moving across the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Friends Forever Essay Friends Forever My way of life has never been what anyone would call normal. It's only second nature to hear the words "peculiar" or "weird" when describing my family and friends. The funny thing is, it really doesn't bother me. If everyone were the same or what the world refers to as normal, life would be pretty boring. There are several contributing factors as to why I am the way that I am, but more recently, I can say that a group of friends that I became close to during my senior year of high school had a big impact on the person I am today. I know that I wouldn't have even been associated with these friends if it were not for my upbringing. I had a wonderful home life, with parents that still loved each other...show more content... Many people think of us as different and odd, which I'll be the first to admit, we are. Fortunately we don't see that as a negative thing. Hard as it may be to believe, we don't want to be like everyone else. We don't do many things that may be considered "normal" to most people, leading others to think we are restricted by all of our rules. On the contrary, we don't have to worry about the consequences that come from doing things that are "popular." It's also nice that people can know the difference between someone from our church and everyone else in the world, just from how we act. Nothing in the world could compare to the joy that I have found from the church. Plus, if I wasn't a member, I would probably never have met my friends. Being in the minority, my friends and I have made the most of all we have, and sometimes even take our "weirdness" to new levels. These friends have given me an experience that has helped shape the person that I am today. I didn't always like to step outside of my comfort zone. I used to have a twinge of fear that people would secretly think I was an idiot, which used to bother me. Thanks to my friends, they made acting stupid seem like the greatest thrill of your life. I'd known most of my friends since my freshman year in high school through activities and classes at church, but I never really did anything with them since we went to rival schools. Then one night, at the end of November last year, the guys Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Being My Own Best Friend Being my own best friend would help me reflect on my decisions and thought processes as an objective observer. As any best friend would do, I would try to give myself advice, try and help myself be a better individual. If I were my own best friend, I would advise myself to stop being such a perfectionist in everything. I overthink things way too often: "If I hang out with my friend after school today, would I have enough time to finish my homework? Which is more fun: going out with my friends, or staying at home?" If I do this, if I do that. Whenever there 's a decision to be made, my mind can never make itself up; it always seems to want to go through every possible outcome to decided which is the best one – the perfect course of action. I can't count the number of times my mind has been so indecisive, though I do remember stepping down as a presidential candidate in elementary school. For the life of me, I can't remember why I did what I did; I was probably afraid of some sort of backlash, or of simply not winning. If I were my own best friend all those years ago (especially if I were the age I am now), that would not have happened, at least not without reason. As my own best friend, I would tell myself to make up my mind. I would urge myself to stop thinking of the worst–case scenario, because I am usually wrong; things almost never happen the way I think they will. Making decisions aren 't the only thing I over think. I stay mostly in my head and try to think Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 21. Personal Essay : My Sister, My Best Friend Out of anyone in my life, my sister is truly the person I respect and look up the most We have had our ups and downs but she is always there for me when I need her and I am always there for her when I can be. She's my sister, best friend but most importantly my twin sister. She's the one I grew up with, the one that's always there for me. We have a bond that nobody or anything could break. As close as we are today I can say I would be completely lost without her. My sister and I have moments where we both feel weird whenever we are not around each other because as I twin we feel like we can't be separate for one minute. Either of both of us will start missing each other like crazy. And that is just a thing her and me have. And when it comes to missing my sister I get crazy because I just can't be with anybody else but her. And I mean it because I will start, texting her, calling her, I will do anything to be together every day. But having a conversation is important when it comes not talking to each other. According to Albert's he once said: " Conversation plays, an important role in friendship as well." (Albert's, p.190). Having a conversation to one each other it is really important because you will know what the person is feeling today or tomorrow, it is a good thing that people communicate because is simply the act of transferring information from one place to another. However, as grown women's we are, it is time to face reality we will have to separate each other one Get more content on HelpWriting.net
