Robert Capa was a famous war photographer who documented major events in the 20th century. He took iconic photographs during the Spanish Civil War in the 1930s and covered World War 2 from 1943-1944, including the D-Day landings in Normandy. Some of his most famous photos include a wounded soldier during the Spanish Civil War and the landing of American troops on Omaha Beach on D-Day. He was known for taking risks to get close to the action and capture compelling images of the human impact of war.
