Thank you for your help. I have subtracted one football from five footballs. Now I have four footballs.
Teacher: Very good! Now try adding two tennis rackets to three tennis rackets. How many tennis rackets do you have now?

Football is a team sport. Each team has eleven players. You play
football on a field with goalposts at each end. To play it you have
to kick a ball and get it through the opponent’s goalposts.
Athletics is an individual sport. Athletics includes running,
jumping and throwing. The athlete who runs the fastest, jumps
the highest and throws the furthest wins. You don’t need any
special equipment.
Volleyball is a team sport. Each team has six players. You play
volleyball on a court separated by a high net. The players have to
hit a ball from side to side and the ball must not touch the
ground.
Swimming is an individual sport. You swim in a swimming pool, in
the ocean or in a lake. Swimmers wear a swimsuit, a swim cap and
goggles. The fastest swimmer wins.
Basketball is a team sport. Each team has five players. You play
basketball on a rectangular court with an elevated basket at
each end. Players have to throw a ball through the opponent’s

racket. The player who can’t hit the ball looses a point.
