3. My magazine gender is for both males and females as
the colour scheme is neither the stereotypical pink
for females and blue for males, as I decided to go for
a neutral gender colour of black, white and red.
However, the image of a female on the front cover
may persuade more females to buy the magazine
rather than males, however, the image portrays an
attractive female therefore males may be more
incline to buy the magazine for that purpose.
Throughout my magazine I have used image of all
females, however, once again I think this will attract
both genders, as the females will relate to them
more as role models and the men will be attracted to
the females will appeal to them.
4. I think my magazine is for the middle or working class, as the
price is moderate but suitable for the type of magazine as I
focused it on ‘Q’ music magazine.
My target audience is young adults around 18 years and older,
as I feel the sophisticated approach with the colour scheme,
layout and images would appeal to them the most.
The images I have used would appeal to these classes as they
would be persuaded into buying the magazine as the models I
have used have been edited to portray a high quality image,
so that the audience can relate to the artists as they look
professional.
The genre of music is alternative therefore, it would appeal
to the middle class as this kind of music is varied similar to
the variety in the class, therefore I think the genre is
appropriate to my target audience.
