I. General Information
Title : World Teacher’s Day Celebration
Date : October 5, 2022

II. Rationale
In order to give honor to all the teachers throughout the world to acknowledge their crucial
role, loyal service and dedicated commitment in developing globally minded citizens, nurturing
families, strengthening communities and building the nation, presidential proclamation no. 242
was promulgated, declaring the period from September 05 to October 05 as “National Teachers
Month’’ which was signed on August 24, 2011 by His Excellency President Benigno S. Aquino III.
This proclamation was also supported by DepEd Memorandum Order No. 99, s. 2015 embracing
with the theme: “My Teacher My Hero.”
III. Activity Description:
Teachers are the heart of public education. Opening doors to a world of knowledge is the challenge that in
Hawilian National High School and worldwide undertake and fulfill everyday in their schools, their communities, and
their homes. Through their efforts and imagination, teachers inspire students to reach out and move their horizon.
In return to their relentless contribution, the SSG of our school spearheaded a one of a kind program and activities
in celebration to the conduct of World Teachers ‘Day.
IV. Objectives:
The activity aims to:
1. To culminate the month -long celebration with festivities to express the sincere gratitude of the
school to the teachers’ important role in revolutionizing the educational reform efforts of the
school.
2. To honor those who are in the teaching profession;
3. Acknowledge and give emphasis on the crucial role, loyal service and dedicated
commitment of teachers in developing globally minded citizens, nurturing families,
strengthening communities, and building the nation;
4. Take the occasion as an opportunity in building the image of teaching as an attractive
and fulfilling profession;
5. Express gratitude for the positive influences of teachers on Filipino learners.
V. Methodology
To attain the objectives, the following are to be realized:
1. Join the activities designed for the National World Teachers’ Day
2. Participate to the program of activities.
