13. Conditions of service Pregnant workers A female worker should, on becoming aware that she is pregnant , notify the employer in order that her working conditions may be modified if necessary. The notification of pregnancy shall not be considered a reason to exclude a female worker from work; however, the employer of a female worker who has notified pregnancy shall adapt the working conditions in respect of occupational exposure so as to ensure that the embryo or fetus is afforded the same broad level of protection as required for members of the public.

14. Alternative employment I.18. Employers shall make every reasonable effort to provide workers with suitable alternative employment in circumstances where it has been determined, either by the Regulatory Authority or in the framework of the health surveillance program required by the Standards, that the worker, for health reasons, may no longer continue in employment involving occupational exposure. 15. Conditions for young persons I.19. No person under the age of 16 years shall be subjected to occupational exposure. I.20. No person under the age of 18 years shall be allowed to work in a controlled area unless supervised and then only for the purpose of training. Conditions of service

17. I.21. Registrants and licensees shall designate as a controlled area any area in which specific protective measures or safety provisions are or could be required for: (a) controlling normal exposures during normal working conditions; and (b) preventing or limiting the extent of potential exposures Controlled areas (BSS I.21-23)

18. I.22. In determining the boundaries of any controlled area, registrants and licensees shall take account of the magnitudes of the expected normal exposures, the likelihood and magnitude of potential exposures, and the nature and extent of the required protection and safety procedures Controlled areas (BSS I.21-23)
