B. Your Personal Inventory



Interests: My interests include staying physically fit and healthy, reading, being with friends and
family, playing sports, and trying figure out my future career.



Career-related Values: It’s very important for me to find a career that I will enjoy and that suits my life-
style. It’s also important to make decent money to be able to support my family, do fun activities I
enjoy, and travel.
Strengths: My strengths include having motivation, having passion for things I enjoy doing, being able
to communicate well with people, and being organized.



Accomplishments: Some of my accomplishments include being on the honor roll, becoming manager at
work, championship awards for sports, and coming back to school.



Experience: I feel that I have gained good experience in dealing with the public at my job. I also gained
the experience of knowing that working in a retail job is not suitable for my future.



Skills: Some of my skills include being able to listen well to others, selling, artistic abilities (drawing
and painting), and being able to learn fast and pick up abilities easily when it comes to sports.




C. Your Goals



a) What are your short-term goals? (Next six months)



Goal: Finish the General Arts and Science program with honors.



What are you doing to achieve that goal?

I am working as hard as I can to complete all assignments on time, and to the best of my ability.



Goal: Find my future career
What are you doing to achieve that goal?

I am taking some tests, and getting advice through the hired career services, which should help me find
my way.



Goal: For the summer I have a goal to catch a fish and eat it



What are you doing to achieve that goal?

Every weekend I am able, I go to the cottage and fish as much as I can, until I get it.



b) What are your long-term goals? (Next few years)



Goal: To be enrolled in a program, in college, that will allow me to obtain my future career.



What are you doing to achieve that goal?

Researching possible schools and courses available and taking tests that will help figure out what I
want to do.



Goal: Start saving money for a house.



What are you doing to achieve that goal?

Working full time after this course is over, until I go back to school next year.




D. What courses do you need to take to achieve these goals?
I’m not sure of the courses I will need to take yet. Just research until I find want it is I want.




E. What steps are you going to take in the upcoming year to ensure to reach those goals? (I.e.
study strategies, etc.)



I will not stop looking for my future career until I find it, then enroll right away in the program I will
need. Also I will save as much money as possible, and spend less on things I don’t need.
