2. Meaning of Cricket in life… Cricket is not only sport but a religion within boundaries of the subcontinent. Every fan who has played or watched cricket, secretly imbibes certain qualities that teach the rules of success in life.
3. … The aim of this presentation is to focus on 6 mantra’s for success in life, which Cricket teaches you.
4. 1. The Special Trait Everyone is born with a special quality. A capacity to single handedly dominate a particular field of life. This god given gift can only be utilized if you support it with family love, harness it with hard work and nurture it with humility. Moral – Everyone has a special trait, but 99% never utilize it.
5. 2.Practice makes you perfect There is no trait in the world that cannot be acquired with hard work. It’s only because the hard work is a long, continuous and very tough practice that most people prefer to chose a short-cut. Moral- If you want to live your dreams, be prepared to do hard work.
6. 3. Over-confidence has a shelf life Over-confidence is socially and professionally accepted only till you are performing excellently in the tasks assigned to you. The moment your performance declines over-confidence is labeled as arrogance. Moral- Be confident of your ability but not over-confident.
7. 4. Flamboyance is dangerous Like the child whose tantrums are initially called cute, Flamboyance is initially accepted as a mark of success. With time flamboyance become annoyance. And praises become criticism. Moral- Flamboyance is addictive and destructive. Chose wisely.
8. 5. Experience Pays Parents, teachers, bosses, elders are all criticized because “Nobody likes to be told what to do.” In crunch and stressful moments its only the memory of older events that serves as a guideline towards success. Moral – Listening and accepting experience of others can help in solving many problems.
9. 6. Calmness is key to success The human body is programmed to trigger the “flight or fight” mechanism at the slightest exposure to stress. In any form of stress (positive or negative) it’s the mental restlessness that mostly pushes to failure. Moral- The key to success is taking right decisions at right time. And that can only happen when the mind is calm.
