the educational, social, economical and
political strength of women. it develops
confidence and calibre in women.
 History of women’s status
in India
 From Vedic period to British period
status of women had been similar, women
were ignored in men dominated society in
India.

Indian constitution provides all safeguards to
women for her growth and development.

educating women is educating two families.
Dr. B R Ambedkar
Indira Gandhi launched the Indra Mahila Yojna
when UNDP (united nation development
programme ) started by UN.
Its primary functions were following:

3. Gender prejudice
4. Low confidence
5. Lack of unity
6. Problems related to health and sanitation
7. Poverty
8. Social ignorance
9. Social evils
Traditional Bans/ barriers.

 Women constitutes half population of the
world. They perform 60% of worlds work
but unfortunately they got only 10% of
world.
 Its bad luck of women that they are denied
with right of education politics and
leadership in men dominated society.
