This Halloween, AR Lord students got to pick their favourite pumpkin during a fun event organized by 20-something school alumni. Students later took their pumpkin to the gym where they carved it up to their hearts content.
Staff worked closely with our schools and the City to ensure that our sites were safe and secure throughout the Halloween evening.

Trustee Wong and Superintendent Cardwell accompanied our International Education staff to China. The purpose of the visit was to continue to build relationships and to further understand the culture as well as understand the International Student Program work. The group met with key agency personnel who assist the school district in China, discuss further internationalization efforts with senior school district staff in Beijing, Hangzou, Xiamen and Shanghai and to visit schools in these four cities. One school visited was the same group that visited the Vancouver School District a few weeks ago. The group also met with the Trade Commissioner for Canada, met with parents and attended a large international education fair that was attended by representatives from many countries around the world.
