CRITICAL TEACHING SKILLS FOR FOCUSING ATTENTION


1. Give examples three convergen and three divergen questions based on the
   video
   Answer:
   a. Convergen question
      1) What is the formula of rectangular parallelpiped volume?
      2) What is shape of base of cube?
      3) What is the formula of rectangular parallelpiped area?
   b. Divergen question
      1) How do we find the formula of rectangular parallelpiped area?
      2) How do we get           in the formula of cylinder area?
      3) What are the other form of rectangular parallelpiped nets?


2. Give one example question for each level of Bloom's Taxonomy based on the
   video.
   a. Knowledge (Remembering)
       Define parallelogram?
   b. Comprehension (Understanding)
       Explain the characterestic of parallelogram in your sentence?
   c. Application (Applying)
       Explain how the diagonal of parallelogram by making the picture?
   d. Analysis (Analyzing)
       What are the differences between parallelogram and tetragonal?
   e. Synthesis (Creating)
       Construct 2 parallelograms with size the first parallelogram more longer
            than The second parallelogram. Find change that happen if saw from
            side, angle, and diagonal parallelogram mentioned.
   f. Evaluation (Evaluating)
       Select the sentence that is best punctuated for theorems of opposite
            angles?
3. Give one example question for each guideline for planning dan delivering
  questions based on this video :
   a. Be clear and concise
      What is the model of mathematics that can be used to solve linear
        Equation in 2 varibles?


   b. Use vocabulary that is appropriate for the age and ability of the students
      What do you think about Sangkuriang, how many times that he needs to
        build the palace during 12 hours with his 10 bodyguards?


   c. Plan question that are short enough for student to remember
      What is the form of a linear equation in two variables?


   d. Follow questions with time for students to think
      Solve linear equation below with addition method during 5 minutes!
        2x – y = 2
        x+y=1
   e. Follow questions with redirections, prompting and probing as necessary
       Teacher : ani, what the definiton linear equation in two variables?
         Ani         : linear equation in two variables is any equation which has
                      two variable (degree 1) in it.
         Teacher : is it right, students ?
         Students : yes........
         Teacher : yes, ani’s answer is right, linear equation in two variables is
                      any equation which has two variables (degree 1) in it.


   f. Follow questions with honest feedback
       Teacher : ani, what the definiton linear equation in two variables?
         Ani         : linear equation in two variables is any equation which has
                      two variables (degree 1) in it.
         Teacher : is it right, students ?
         Students : yes........
         Teacher : yes..good job.. :)
g. When you ask questions of your students, your goal should be to involve
   as many of them as possible
   Everyone, can you solve this equation
     2x – y = 9
     2x + 4y = 14
     Using addition method in your paper?
     Note: by this way, all students will be involved, because everyone will
     answer the question.


h. Avoid ridiculous quetions like asking a group of school children from
   seattle
   Student, what is the term for linear equation in two variables. How many
     ways in solving linear equation in two variables?
