development of solutions aimed to reduce waste and optimizing fuel consumption .
The SmartPower is a configuration of the family SmartMeter that allows you to make little effort to
design a telemetry system fuelly efficient and modern with professional performance .
SmartPower is addressed to private and business users and in particular institutional allowing the
latter to provide a system for acquisition of electrical consumption .
The system also allows you to acquire the following values :
• Voltage is the RMS value in that the peak value
• Supply current value in effective and peak value
• Apparent Power in VA
• Active Power in W
• Reactive power in VAr
• Active Energy in kWh
• Reactive power in kVAr
• Power factor (cos φ )
• Phase angle
The current reading is performed safely by inductive probes while the voltage reading occurs
through a transponder.
The node is equipped with 6 analog inputs and therefore can measure up to 3 voltages and 3
currents separately (three-phase systems), alternatively a single pair of inputs can be used to make
measurements of voltage and current in phase.

2. In addition to these issues , the measurement node is equipped with an optical probe that can read events simultaneously impulsive indicator
measurement of the counter with a precision of ± 4ms . This reading allows to know the actual energy tax invoiced by the counter of the network
operator .
Measuring the period between pulses , the measurement node deduces the instantaneous power , counting the pulses measured on a time interval of
36 seconds and multiplying the result by 100 , the node deduces the energy consumed by the user . The parameters read are sent via GFSK transceiver
, which operates in the ISM band at 433 MHz ,to the communication node . The node consists of a transceiver coupled to a microscopic stage router
connected to an ADSL line owned by the user that sends to an outside server the parameters read every 36 seconds. The read data then becomes
accessible to the user through the web platform SmartPLC.it along with useful statistical information on consumption ,and the related costs and quality
of electricity supply .
SmartPower belongs to the family of SmartMeater that is based on an innovative control
system of sensor network (wireless, PLC) makes possible monitoring in real time of the electric,
gas, water and heating installation.
Thanks to the bi-directional communication interface, it able to take action on the plants by
regulating the exchange of both consumption data and information on the functioning of the
single system, while offering the opportunity to take action in the event of problems or failures
in real time, without having the need to intervene on site.
