TechnicalEducationandVocationalTraining(CTEVT)inPokhara,Kaski.eaimofitsestablishmentwasto
producetrainedandskilledhumanresourceforthefastgrowingtourismmarketofNepal.PSTHM iswell
equippedwiththerequiredfacilitiestoprovidetechnical&vocationaleducationonhospitalitymanagement.
IIntheacademicsectorPSTHMlaunchedathreeyearDiplomainHotelManagement(DHM)programfrom
2014AD.isacademiccoursewasforthe rsttimeintroducedinWesternDevelopmentRegionofNepal.
From2016onward,welaunchedthreeyearprogramPCLinOphthalmicScienceinpartnershipmodulewith
HimalayaEyeHospital.Furthermorean18monthsTSLCinCulinaryArt(Cooking/Baking)startedin2016
aswell.
IInterm ofvocationalsectorPSTHM offers1weekto26weekstrainingprograms.Asbeingaschoolin
hospitality,PSTHM operatesitsownrestaurantandhoteltoproviderealexperiencetothestudentsand
traineesduringtheirstudyandtraining.
Sinceitsestablishment(1996AD)PSTHM hasbeenprovidingqualitytraininginhospitalityrelated
occupations.Sofartheschoolhasproducedmorethan8000competentgraduates.80%ofthem arefull
time/self-employedinthedomesticandoverseascountriessofar.

PLCinOphthalmicscienceisthreeyearscourse.ItisajointventureprogramofPokharaSchoolofTourism
andHospitalityManagementandHimalayaEyeHospital,Pokhara.iscourseisbasedonthejobrequiredto
perform byamiddlelevelophthalmichealthpersonnelatdifferenteye/healthinstitutionsinNepaland
abroad.eyassisttheophthalmologistsinvarioustypesofocularsurgeries.eyperformeyeexamination,
diagnosesomeoftheoculardiseases,treatsomeoculardiseases.eycanalsoperform therefraction
independentlyandprescribetheglasses.eyperform minorextraocularsurgeries,provideeyehealth
ededucation,organizeandmanagethecommunityprogram,schoolscreeningprogram.

communicativeenglish,soskills,lifeskillsandcomputerskills.
