3. KAJANG
 Is a town in the eastern part of Selangor.
 Is the district capital of Hulu Langat.
 It is located 21 kilometers from Malaysia’s
capital, Kuala Lumpur.
 The first settlement in Kajang was established in
1709.
 In 1807, Kajang was founded after the Klang War.
 Kajang as a modern town owes its rise in
particular to the coffee estates which were
opened up around it in the 1890s.

 According to the department of statistics, Kajang
population in 2010 was estimated to be 795,522,
making up about 15% of Selangor’s population of
