zero are collectively known as integers.

5. When an integer is divided by another
integer, the quotient need not be an integer
always, then we get integers.

6. Integers and fractions (both positive
and negative) together called rational numbers.
Examples: 2,3,-5,-16,4/3,7/3 etc.

7. Any rational number (fractions or
integers) can be written in the form x/y when x
and y are integers.
