Often are initiated by the writer rather
than requested by the readers.
Often written to justify changes in policy
or procedures.
Can be written as a proposal, but make
the recommendation “obvious.”
6. Methods or Procedures:
Explain how your suggestion can be
implemented.
Show how many people will be
involved, how much time it will take,
what the costs would be, etc.
8. Discussion
This is the lengthiest portion.
Provide details,(numbers, amounts,
names etc).
Provide explanations.
Describe how you arrived at your
conclusion.
Be precise, impartial, and organized.
10. The Assignment
Write a justification for either your boss
at work, the administration of your
school, or your parents to justify
changes in policy or procedure you feel
should be made.
