CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
In order to be closer to the underprivileged and disadvantaged population, the NGO HOSTING
ORGANIZATION through crowdfunding decided to build a reception and reintegration center at the disposal
of young people with family difficulties in Kpalimé commune. The purpose of this center is to ensure full
development of these young people by offering them the opportunity to continue their studies or apprenticeships
in acceptable conditions. It should be noted that this project does not benefit from any global financing or grant
from the Togolese State. Each year, international and national volunteers provide financial, material and
technical support for this project.
For the camp site planned for this project and for the year 2019, the planned activities will allow to continue the
completion of the construction of the first dormitory.

CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
It is true that the appearance rate of HIV / AIDS in recent years in Togo has decreased (2.5 in 2016 to 2.1 in
2017) but this does not prevent that the contamination continues to progress within the various social classes
especially among the young people. Promiscuity, drug abuse, multi-partnership and unprotected sex are one of
the problems that can lead to HIV / AIDS along with other risky behaviors that contribute to the spread of HIV
/ AIDS and STIs (sexually transmitted infections). These diseases affect as much in semi-urban as they do in
rural areas. Thus this project is reintroduced into the list of summer projects by the NGO HOSTING
ORGANIZATION . The project aims to inform and educate the largest number of people especially young
people about HIV / AIDS and STIs. The goal is to reduce transmission, strengthen prevention and screening
measures. The project also aims to build and strengthen the skills of community peer educators in conducting
HIV / AIDS IE / BCC (Information Education / Communication for Behavior Change) actions. Targeted areas
are considered particularly sensitive where young people have little knowledge of the risks of the disease
transmission, and are usually unaffected by awareness campaigns. In addition to HIV / AIDS awareness
activities, it will also have demonstrations of the first steps of the first aid that will be organized by volunteers
to benefit the people.
GOALS OF THE PROJECT
The main goal is to help reduce the HIV prevalence rate in vulnerable areas.
Other goals are:
- Organize sensitization sessions on the fight against STI / AIDS in public places
- Distribute condoms
- Organize on the sidelines of the awareness campaign, practical demonstrations on the first Aids gestures
THE MAIN ACTIONS
- Volunteers will plan the educative actions, identify the targets, prepare the awareness tools and organize
the outings and education sessions in the village and its surroundings.
PROYECTO 04: Sensitization campaign and
information on HIV/AIDS

- The activities will be carried out in several neighborhoods. Activities strive for both the dissemination
of information on HIV / AIDS and STIs, as well as prevention and screening.
- Interventions: debates, organized after the presentations of films, talks, condom distributions (female
and male) and information sessions on their use. Short sketches will be made to address the issues of
prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) and unprotected sex.
- The volunteers will also organize activities as first aids gestures.
LOCALIZATION OF THE PROJECT
Situated at 110 km in the north-west of Lome (capital of Togo), the municipality of Agou is a remarquable city.
It is a mountainous region which shelters the highest mountain of Togo: the "pic d'Agou" with its 986m altitude.
This mountain offers a wonderful view over Togo and Ghana. The vast majority of the ten thousand citizens
live from agriculture and cattle breeding. One can find cereals, root tuber, fruit (bananas, oranges, mangos,
pineapples, avocados). The village is known for its legendary hospitality and rich cultural life (folkloric groups
named "Akpèssé" or "Bobobo").
ACCOMODATION
Housing conditions are generally primitive.
The volunteers will be housed together in the same house with several rooms (usually 2 to 4 rooms) and will
live near the project site. Housing will be provided with plastic mats or straws but volunteers can however
provide small inflatable mattresses or small floor mats (no bed), sleeping bag, mosquito nets etc. The kitchen

CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
In Togo, a large number of people are still unaware of the basic actions needed to rescue people who have
suffered a road accident or an incident affecting the physical body. Since the situation is becoming more and
more alarming these last moments, the NGO HOSTING ORGANIZATION sets up for two years a project of
training and awareness on the "gestures that save". Thus the project consists in raising awareness and training
in particular taxi-motorcycle drivers commonly known as "Zemidjan" and in general all road users on the actions
that save so that they can have basic notions in the field of first aid in case of traffic accidents or other incidents
(trauma, cardiac arrest, bleeding ... etc.). This project will not only allow beneficiaries to have adequate reactions
to first aid but also the necessary provisions to prevent, limit or eliminate imminent danger in case of an incident
and also how to alert the emergency services.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
General objective
The overall objective is to contribute to the awareness and training of local communities on "Saving actions"
for better care of victims in case of any accident before alerting the emergency services or emergency.
Specific objectives
- Strengthen solidarity among all citizens through the learning of first aid gestures;
- Train the volunteers on the first rescue actions so that they in turn become trainers on the project;
- To sensitize and train the drivers of taxi-motorcycle and the populations to the gestures that save through
practical demonstrations to the different points of parking of the city;

CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
Despite the employability programs put in place by the Togolese government to promote youth
entrepreneurship, many of them still struggle to become self-reliant with their economic activities. Because they
still lack the necessary knowledge for a good management of their companies. Conscious of this situation, the
NGO HOSTING ORGANIZATION initiates for the second time the project of support to the entrepreneurship
of the young people in order to give them necessary tools of management of their economic activities.
It is about supporting micro-projects of young promoters by giving them adequate tools to better manage their
activities and make them more profitable.
At the end of the diagnosis, a project among the ten (10) projects studied can benefit from a financial support
with a small envelope as at the first edition.
GOALS OF PROJECT
- List the micro-enterprises carried by young people in Kpalimé commune and select ten (10) who are
in difficulty;
- Conduct studies of organizational diagnosis in selected companies;
- Restore the results of the diagnoses made;
- Organize an exchange workshop and presentation of tools for effective management of micro-
enterprises in the presence of selected young entrepreneurs;
- Promote cultural and skills exchanges between participants and volunteers;
PROJECT ACTIVITIES
- Information and training of volunteers on the progress of the project;
- Census and selection of ten (10) micro-enterprises (field survey);
- Conducting organizational diagnostics for the ten (10) selected micro-enterprises;
- Analysis and reporting of diagnostic results;
- Organization of training workshops for young managers of selected micro-enterprises
- Monitoring and evaluation of the project

CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
Today there are many young Togolese who try or want to go through the Sahel countries and challenge the
waves of the Mediterranean with pirogues or makeshift boats to find the shores of Europe. Unfortunately this
perilous and fatal adventure continues to cause desolation within families because there are some of these young
people who do not cross this "imaginary Eldorado" and perish in the Mediterranean or in the ocean. The wave
of illegal or irregular migration has taken on unprecedented proportions in the recent years. During the crossing
to Europe, most migrants perish due to the wreckage of their makeshift boats. It is not a question for the NGO
HOSTING ORGANIZATION to fight against the illegal immigration but to make the candidates aware of the
dangers of that. Because many are among them who do not know the realities of the trip and those who do not
know the country of destination, HOSTING ORGANIZATION wants to educate the unknowing.
Through this summer camp, HOSTING ORGANIZATION wants to contribute in its own way to inform and
raise awareness through actions and to support young people on the difficulties of irregular immigration. For
this purpose, it intends to conduct awareness campaigns to discourage prospective immigrants. These educative
sessions will be furnished by sharing information on the consequences of irregular immigration with young
people.
GOALS
- Organize information and awareness sessions in neighborhoods for young people through football
matches
- Make presentations of films and documentaries illustrating the dangers of illegal immigration
- Organize roundtables: exchange of experiences between international volunteers and local volunteers
MAIN ACTIVITIES
The implementation of the project will consist of researching, designing and animating contents describing the
migrants' experiences during their journey:
- Volunteers do research and organize debates with the young on immigration issues
- Volunteers will make collections of photos, documentary films and testimonies showing the dangers of
illegal immigration
- Volunteers will show photos, documentary films and testimonials in public squares in different districts
of Kpalimé City to attract the attention of a large number of people

- Volunteers will organize talk shows on Kpalime's local radio stations to raise awareness of the issues
and dangers of irregular immigration
- Volunteers will produce awareness posters
- Volunteers will produce and present skits to raise awareness
- Volunteers will conduct awareness campaigns on social networks including Facebook and other media:
• Discussions, brainstorming, debates
• Practical cases, forum theater
• Broadcasting of audiovisual media
REQUIRED
This project responds to the more and more recurrent immigration issues in socio-political and economic
debates, so it requires real support and mobilization of technical and material means for its realization.
Volunteers interested in this project are asked to collect enough tools or educational kits for awareness
(documentary films, posters, documents ... etc.).

CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
This project initiated by HOSTING ORGANIZATION makes it possible to put volunteers in contact with the
African peasant world, in particular that of Togo. It consists of helping peasant families in their fields or
plantations and discovering the agricultural techniques they have developed since the time of their ancestors.

Page 19
LOCALIZATION
The village of Kuma-Apoti is one of the ten villages of Kuma Township. It is located north-west of the city of
Kpalimé. Its relief consists of a vast plateau and wooded mountains. Kuma-Apoti is located in a humid zone
and its climate, very particular for Togo, is much cooler and "temperate" than that of Lomé. The village economy
is essentially based on agriculture, around which a few commercial, craft and tourist activities gravitate. The
agricultural sector employs about 80% of the population. Productions with a low income are coffee and cocoa.
Food crops provide subsistence for families: cereals (maize), tubers (yams, cassava) and legumes (beans). The
region, quite fertile, also allows the cultivation of fruits (banana, plantain banana, pineapple, orange, mandarin
...)
The kitchen
will be organized by the volunteers themselves.
FOOD
Volunteers will cook and eat together their meals. In the kitchen, they will use the local products. There
are many various vegetables and fruits in location, so vegetarian and vegan diets can be continued.
NB: Clean drinking water available.
Internet access and electricity are limited according to the areas of intervention of the projects.
HOBBIES
Apart from the activities to be carried out on the building site, you can enjoy walks, meetings with the
particularly welcoming population, organize parties and excursions to visit the surrounding villages.
LANGUAGE
The languages of the workcamp are English and French. But it’s important to note that the exchanges
in English are very basic.

MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THE PROJECT
The activities to be carried out will be divided into two parts:
- The first part will be devoted to support classes for primary students in the subjects in which they have
the most difficulties with. The volunteers will intervene in the learning of the French language (reading,
writing, conjugation, written and oral expression, etc.), in mathematics and also in English language.
- The second part will be devoted to games and various activities in the library of the village (contests
for reading, drawing, singing and dancing ...) and showing films and documentaries to children.
NB: School supplies and gifts will be distributed to students and the facility upon completion of activities.
It is desirable that volunteers bring A4 sheets, colored pencils, notebooks, markers, children's games,
educational materials and any other items deemed necessary for the success of the project.

  • 10. Page 09 CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT It is true that the appearance rate of HIV / AIDS in recent years in Togo has decreased (2.5 in 2016 to 2.1 in 2017) but this does not prevent that the contamination continues to progress within the various social classes especially among the young people. Promiscuity, drug abuse, multi-partnership and unprotected sex are one of the problems that can lead to HIV / AIDS along with other risky behaviors that contribute to the spread of HIV / AIDS and STIs (sexually transmitted infections). These diseases affect as much in semi-urban as they do in rural areas. Thus this project is reintroduced into the list of summer projects by the NGO HOSTING ORGANIZATION . The project aims to inform and educate the largest number of people especially young people about HIV / AIDS and STIs. The goal is to reduce transmission, strengthen prevention and screening measures. The project also aims to build and strengthen the skills of community peer educators in conducting HIV / AIDS IE / BCC (Information Education / Communication for Behavior Change) actions. Targeted areas are considered particularly sensitive where young people have little knowledge of the risks of the disease transmission, and are usually unaffected by awareness campaigns. In addition to HIV / AIDS awareness activities, it will also have demonstrations of the first steps of the first aid that will be organized by volunteers to benefit the people. GOALS OF THE PROJECT The main goal is to help reduce the HIV prevalence rate in vulnerable areas. Other goals are: - Organize sensitization sessions on the fight against STI / AIDS in public places - Distribute condoms - Organize on the sidelines of the awareness campaign, practical demonstrations on the first Aids gestures THE MAIN ACTIONS - Volunteers will plan the educative actions, identify the targets, prepare the awareness tools and organize the outings and education sessions in the village and its surroundings. PROYECTO 04: Sensitization campaign and information on HIV/AIDS Date: 14th July to 03rd August 2019 Location: Agou-gare (Agou)
  • 11. Page 10 - The activities will be carried out in several neighborhoods. Activities strive for both the dissemination of information on HIV / AIDS and STIs, as well as prevention and screening. - Interventions: debates, organized after the presentations of films, talks, condom distributions (female and male) and information sessions on their use. Short sketches will be made to address the issues of prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) and unprotected sex. - The volunteers will also organize activities as first aids gestures. LOCALIZATION OF THE PROJECT Situated at 110 km in the north-west of Lome (capital of Togo), the municipality of Agou is a remarquable city. It is a mountainous region which shelters the highest mountain of Togo: the "pic d'Agou" with its 986m altitude. This mountain offers a wonderful view over Togo and Ghana. The vast majority of the ten thousand citizens live from agriculture and cattle breeding. One can find cereals, root tuber, fruit (bananas, oranges, mangos, pineapples, avocados). The village is known for its legendary hospitality and rich cultural life (folkloric groups named "Akpèssé" or "Bobobo"). ACCOMODATION Housing conditions are generally primitive. The volunteers will be housed together in the same house with several rooms (usually 2 to 4 rooms) and will live near the project site. • 12. Page 11 CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: In Togo, a large number of people are still unaware of the basic actions needed to rescue people who have suffered a road accident or an incident affecting the physical body. Since the situation is becoming more and more alarming these last moments, the NGO HOSTING ORGANIZATION sets up for two years a project of training and awareness on the "gestures that save". Thus the project consists in raising awareness and training in particular taxi-motorcycle drivers commonly known as "Zemidjan" and in general all road users on the actions that save so that they can have basic notions in the field of first aid in case of traffic accidents or other incidents (trauma, cardiac arrest, bleeding ... etc.). This project will not only allow beneficiaries to have adequate reactions to first aid but also the necessary provisions to prevent, limit or eliminate imminent danger in case of an incident and also how to alert the emergency services. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT General objective The overall objective is to contribute to the awareness and training of local communities on "Saving actions" for better care of victims in case of any accident before alerting the emergency services or emergency. Specific objectives - Strengthen solidarity among all citizens through the learning of first aid gestures; - Train the volunteers on the first rescue actions so that they in turn become trainers on the project; - To sensitize and train the drivers of taxi-motorcycle and the populations to the gestures that save through practical demonstrations to the different points of parking of the city; LOCALISATION DU PROJET This project is located in the municipality of Kpalimé. • 14. Page 13 CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: Despite the employability programs put in place by the Togolese government to promote youth entrepreneurship, many of them still struggle to become self-reliant with their economic activities. Because they still lack the necessary knowledge for a good management of their companies. Conscious of this situation, the NGO HOSTING ORGANIZATION initiates for the second time the project of support to the entrepreneurship of the young people in order to give them necessary tools of management of their economic activities. It is about supporting micro-projects of young promoters by giving them adequate tools to better manage their activities and make them more profitable. At the end of the diagnosis, a project among the ten (10) projects studied can benefit from a financial support with a small envelope as at the first edition. GOALS OF PROJECT - List the micro-enterprises carried by young people in Kpalimé commune and select ten (10) who are in difficulty; - Conduct studies of organizational diagnosis in selected companies; - Restore the results of the diagnoses made; - Organize an exchange workshop and presentation of tools for effective management of micro- enterprises in the presence of selected young entrepreneurs; - Promote cultural and skills exchanges between participants and volunteers; PROJECT ACTIVITIES - Information and training of volunteers on the progress of the project; - Census and selection of ten (10) micro-enterprises (field survey); - Conducting organizational diagnostics for the ten (10) selected micro-enterprises; - Analysis and reporting of diagnostic results; - Organization of training workshops for young managers of selected micro-enterprises - Monitoring and evaluation of the project LOCALIZATION OF THE PROJECT PROYECTO 06: Support Youth Entrepreneurship Date: 21th July to 05th August 2019 Location : Kpalimé (Kloto)

  • 16. Page 15 CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT Today there are many young Togolese who try or want to go through the Sahel countries and challenge the waves of the Mediterranean with pirogues or makeshift boats to find the shores of Europe. Unfortunately this perilous and fatal adventure continues to cause desolation within families because there are some of these young people who do not cross this "imaginary Eldorado" and perish in the Mediterranean or in the ocean. The wave of illegal or irregular migration has taken on unprecedented proportions in the recent years. During the crossing to Europe, most migrants perish due to the wreckage of their makeshift boats. It is not a question for the NGO HOSTING ORGANIZATION to fight against the illegal immigration but to make the candidates aware of the dangers of that. Because many are among them who do not know the realities of the trip and those who do not know the country of destination, HOSTING ORGANIZATION wants to educate the unknowing. Through this summer camp, HOSTING ORGANIZATION wants to contribute in its own way to inform and raise awareness through actions and to support young people on the difficulties of irregular immigration. For this purpose, it intends to conduct awareness campaigns to discourage prospective immigrants. These educative sessions will be furnished by sharing information on the consequences of irregular immigration with young people. GOALS - Organize information and awareness sessions in neighborhoods for young people through football matches - Make presentations of films and documentaries illustrating the dangers of illegal immigration - Organize roundtables: exchange of experiences between international volunteers and local volunteers MAIN ACTIVITIES The implementation of the project will consist of researching, designing and animating contents describing the migrants' experiences during their journey: - Volunteers do research and organize debates with the young on immigration issues - Volunteers will make collections of photos, documentary films and testimonies showing the dangers of illegal immigration - Volunteers will show photos, documentary films and testimonials in public squares in different districts of Kpalimé City to attract the attention of a large number of people PROYECTO 07: Awareness campaign and education on illegal immigration Date: 22nd July to 11st august 2019 Location: Kpalimé (Kloto)
