This document provides guidance on how surveying fits into the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process. It discusses the key roles and considerations for surveyors at each stage of a construction project, from strategy through to operation. The document is intended to help both clients and survey practitioners understand how geospatial data collection and management can contribute to a successful BIM implementation and project outcomes at each stage of a project's lifecycle.
The Batch Nizo is a group of alumni from their alma mater organized to hold class reunions and give back to their community. They have held several successful outreach events since 2009, including providing snacks to students during exams, distributing school supplies, and bringing together batch mates in need for food, laughter and gifts. As an epitome of "true men and women for others", the Batch Nizo continues their momentum of community service in line with their advocacy of giving back.
Gscm strategies, in manufacturing ind.Karim Khayat
It has been increasing in consciousness of the environment in the last few decades. More people are aware of the world’s environmental problems such as global warming, toxic substance usage, and decreasing in non-replenish resources . In addition awareness exists among companies which seek to become green.
This study presents the various strategies to implement a GSCM in manufacturing industry. It focuses on the use of decision making models; the model used here is AHP. This method is used in such a way that helps in evaluating different criterion under each strategy, and therefore deciding about best strategy needed.

Ryan Chittenden is the director of web development at Fuego Digital Media QSTP-LLC, a company that builds web-based business solutions. The document discusses the evolution of web design from the early days envisioned by Tim Berners-Lee to the modern responsive and accessible design approach. It covers how the rise of mobile devices and a variety of user needs require websites that can adapt to any screen or device while also being accessible. Fuego is working to integrate responsive and accessible design practices in all its new websites.
Test Automation significantly contributes advantages and benefits to software testing success. However, test automation projects, to some extent, have been not succeeded as stakeholders' expectation. This topic aims to suggest solutions for the following problems to prevent from automated testing mistakes.

Software Testing in the Agile World
Website: www.hcmc-stc.org
Author: Nhat Do, Vu Duong
Context-Driven Testing (CDT) rejects the notion of generalized “best practices” that apply to all projects, and instead accepts that different practices work best under different circumstances. The third principle of the seven defined in CDT states that people are the most important part of any project’s context. Less of a focus on processes and tools, with more emphasis on people and their collaboration empowers testers with the freedom to make choices about how best to do their job without following a restrictive plan.
In joining the game of workshop and some theory sharing in slides, you will a better understanding of Context-Driven Testing practices, principles and its benefits as well as know how is a nice Marriage of Agile and Context-Driven Testing.
Geo-Enable BIM - What can you do to helpMartin Penney
The document discusses five key challenges (referred to as "The Big 5") for geo-enabling Building Information Modeling (BIM): accuracy, metadata, interoperability, level of detail, and generalization. It analyzes the current maturity levels of each area in both the BIM and geospatial industries and argues they must be improved to fully realize the benefits of BIM, such as reducing infrastructure costs. In particular, the geospatial community needs to help solve issues regarding spatial referencing, data integration from different sources, and representing real-world assets at appropriate definition and information levels.
ITCamp 2015. Apps 2015: a legal odisseyclaudiajelea
Overview of some potential legal issues faced by developers when ‘launching’ their apps - for example, intellectual property tailored to the software industry, contracts with resellers and platform providers, privacy – seasoned with a few practical examples.
This short document promotes creating presentations using Haiku Deck, a tool for making slideshows. It encourages the reader to get started making their own Haiku Deck presentation and sharing it on SlideShare. In just one sentence, it pitches the idea of using Haiku Deck to easily design slideshows.
The document summarizes the activities of the Universal Walk for Peace in Lleida and Segovia, Spain. It describes the 5 routes taken, partner organizations involved, hundreds of participants in the walking events, and coverage in local media. The walks aim to promote peace through community engagement along pilgrimage routes.
Alteration of Patent Protection Length in the Intellectual Property Provision...Karim Khayat
The document summarizes and analyzes key provisions around patent protection length in the intellectual property chapter of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement. Specifically:
- The TPP IP chapter would require countries to provide patents in all fields of technology and extend patentability to plants/animals and medical procedures, going beyond existing agreements.
- It allows compensation for "unreasonable delays" in patent approval/marketing approval to extend patent terms beyond 20 years.
- While promoting access to medicines, critics argue these expanded patent rights could weaken competition and increase drug costs, reducing access to affordable treatments.
The document discusses how to identify potentially harmful ingredients in personal care products. It notes that the average person uses 12 care products daily, exposing their body to 126 chemical ingredients. Many ingredients have not been adequately tested for safety. Some common potentially toxic ingredients identified include parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, and chemicals in fragrance. The document encourages readers to research ingredients to avoid and always read labels carefully in order to protect their health.
The previous AGI Foresight Report from 2010 accurately predicted several trends in the geospatial industry over the following five years, including the acceleration of technology change, the growing dominance of cloud-based solutions, and the rise of open source software due to budget constraints in the public sector. However, some predictions like greater market inroads by Chinese companies did not fully materialize. While the major players in 2010 like Google and Esri remained dominant, the report underestimated the growth of startups in areas like open source mapping. Overall, the report served as a useful benchmark, but also shows how difficult it is to fully anticipate the pace and direction of technological change.

> Comment l'inaction affecte-t-elle l'avenir du jeune ? Que devraient plutôt faire les jeunes pour se racheter et récupérer ce qui leur appartient ? A découvrir dans le document ;
