TELE-audiovision is the world's largest digital TV trade magazine, established in 1981. The document discusses the growing popularity of different operating systems for digital TV receivers, including Linux, Android, and Xbox-based systems. It notes how user preferences and technologies are rapidly changing. The editor believes an adaptable software design is important and that users primarily want intuitive navigation and functionality from their receivers, regardless of the underlying system. TELE-audiovision aims to objectively test and evaluate the latest receivers and technologies.
This document summarizes the WORK Microwave Handheld Satcom Test Source signal generator. It can generate signals from 50-180 MHz and 950-2150 MHz with precision to serve as a reference for measuring complex analog systems. It has two independent synthesizers, allowing it to generate two signals simultaneously for measuring intermodulation of high-frequency converters. Its adjustable output power level from -45 to -5 dBm in 0.5 dB steps enables measuring the 1 dB compression point and conversion gain of converters. The portable generator can operate on its internal battery or via USB, making it a versatile testing device.
This product report summarizes high-frequency filters manufactured by MFC. It discusses how MFC produces highly specialized filters for applications such as WiMAX to prevent interference. It also explains how high-pass and low-pass filters can be combined to replace separate frequency filters. The report provides details on the benefits of HF filters, describing how they eliminate unwanted signals on certain frequencies to prevent interference and equipment malfunctions.
The document summarizes the test results of the Icecrypt S3700CHD triple tuner PVR receiver. It has an elegant front panel with a VFD display and smartcard readers. The back panel features three tuner inputs, HDMI, network interfaces, audio/video outputs, and an RS232 port. It has a powerful CPU and memory. It performed well in tests, with quick channel switching, stable multimedia features, and the ability to record two channels while watching a third. The software is easy to use with features like favorites lists, EPG integration, and an on-screen manual. It also has integrated multimedia apps and plays various video and audio formats smoothly.
1. The document describes how to set up a self-made IPTV system using inexpensive hardware like a Raspberry Pi.
2. A Raspberry Pi board running XBMC software can be used as an IPTV receiver and connected to a TV to receive streaming video channels.
3. TSReader Pro software on a PC is used to receive TV signals, demux channels, and stream them over the network to be displayed on the Raspberry Pi IPTV receiver.

The document discusses proposed extensions to the DVB-S2 satellite broadcasting standard to improve efficiency and accommodate higher data rates. The extensions include reducing transponder roll-off factors and side lobes to allow transponders to be placed closer together, using wider bandwidth transponders, adding a new 64 APSK modulation, and providing more modulation and coding options. These techniques could increase data rates by 20% for direct broadcasting and up to 64% for professional services. The extensions aim to enable services like ultra-high definition TV that require greater bandwidth capabilities.
ELNET is a digital TV wholesaler and retailer located in Iceland. It offers a wide range of digital TV products from small DVB meters to large DVB transmitters at its 600 square meter premises. ELNET believes terrestrial and satellite DVB reception will continue to be important along with emerging fiber optic TV distribution. Asmundur Einarsson has owned and managed ELNET since 2000, growing it to serve Iceland's small and spread out population across its large land area. ELNET supplies over half of Iceland's digital TV transmitters and sells 200-300 satellite dishes annually in sizes from 85cm to 3m.
The document summarizes testing of the Deviser S7000 multi-norm digital TV signal analyzer. Key points:
- Measurement values from the S7000 closely matched five reference analyzers, confirming its precision.
- Its integrated real-time spectrum and waterfall diagrams make antenna alignment extremely easy.
- These display tools allow technicians to quickly optimize antenna position for strongest satellite signals.
- The S7000 was used to successfully troubleshoot interference in a home's CATV distribution system.

It was founded by two partners, Baldur Sveinsson and Sigurour Gunnarsson, who both have experience repairing home electronics. Öreind installs antennas and satellite reception systems and sells a variety of related components, generating around 40% of its revenue from satellite products. While satellite remains important, the company sees its future growth coming from IPTV and is focusing on expanding its offering of IPTV installation materials and components.
1. The document provides a test report of the MKTech IS1-19HD hybrid satellite and terrestrial PVR receiver.
2. The receiver has a removable hard drive frame, excellent channel scanning abilities, strong signal sensitivity, and versatile network functions when connected to the internet via ethernet or included WiFi dongle.
3. While the receiver has thoughtful software and useful functions, limitations include an inability to manually enter WiFi network SSIDs.
The document tests a new DVB-C signal meter called the Horizon HD-CM+. It summarizes that the meter is easy to use, has a perfectly readable display, offers a wide range of professional functions, and provides accurate measurement results, making it well-suited for professional cable installers. The meter performed very well in tests comparing it to a reference meter. It receives high praise for its usability, display quality, measurement accuracy, included accessories, and robust design.
Ultra high definition television (UHDTV) provides several improvements over traditional HDTV, including higher resolution (4K is 3840x2160 and 8K is 7680x4320), a wider color space for more natural colors, and higher frame rates up to 120 frames per second for smoother 3D video. However, UHDTV requires much greater bandwidth for transmission - 4K requires 4 times and 8K requires 16 times as many bits as HDTV. New equipment like UHDTV displays, sources, transmission standards, and codecs are still being developed to fully realize UHDTV, but it will provide a dramatic improvement in video and audio quality over existing HDTV.
This document discusses IPTV and the key concepts needed to understand it, such as TCP, UDP, RTP, multicasting, and unicasting. It explains that TCP ensures correct data transmission but is not ideal for live video/audio, while UDP is better suited for its simplicity and lack of error checking. RTP improves live transmission by adding identification, timestamps and frame handling. Multicasting sends a stream to all receivers, while unicasting sends to one. A 1000Mbps network is recommended for reliable multi-user IPTV over a 100Mbps network. Network monitoring tools like Wireshark can analyze IPTV traffic.
The document provides a review of the Dragonsat DS-5500HD satellite receiver. It has several excellent features for its size, including a fully integrated internet connection, support for the NTFS file system, powerful channel listing capabilities, and the ability to record two channels simultaneously while watching a third. The review finds that the receiver has a very logical menu structure, fast channel switching, a robust electronic program guide, and integrated multimedia playback via DLNA. It concludes that using the Dragonsat receiver was an enjoyable experience thanks to its speed and wide range of functions.
The document describes a test of the Deviser S7000, a multi-standard digital TV signal analyzer. It has a large 7-inch high-definition screen and can analyze signals from satellite, cable, terrestrial and other TV standards. The analyzer has many advanced functions including a real-time spectrum analysis, transport stream analysis, and remote control via internet. The summary is divided into two parts with the first part detailing the S7000's wide range of functions.
Changhong, a Chinese manufacturer of TVs and satellite equipment, provided aid to victims of two earthquakes in Sichuan province. After the 2008 earthquake, Changhong organized an immediate response team and supplied food, water, tents and converted its training center into a temporary school. For the 2013 earthquake, Changhong again offered humanitarian aid and shipped satellite receivers, dishes, TVs and power sources to allow victims access to news broadcasts about relief efforts through satellite television when other infrastructure was damaged.

a d’autres explications pour cette straté-

Et il ya même une autre raison: « Nous
