This document describes the development of a real-time data acquisition and fly-by-wire communication system for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The system has three main parts: 1) A fly-by-wire control system to improve stability and accuracy, 2) Real-time sensor data visualization from the UAV, and 3) Communication between the UAV and ground station. Sensors collect data that is sent to the ground station for monitoring. A fly-by-wire system converts control inputs to electronic signals for automated flight. Wireless networks transmit sensor data to an app for visualization. Telemetry enables communication between the onboard computer and ground station for UAV control.
Energetic key for protected communication in wireless sensor network
Abstract The enormous world wide web and its application of sending data have caused a tremendous increase in stolen or attach the false data with the original data while sending from one node to another node through the intermediate nodes for that we have to securely send the data from source to destination. Virtual energy based encryption and keying has introduced an effective solution to the problem of detection of false data over the network. In the virtual energy based encryption and keying technique we introduced an concept is one time dynamic key (i.e.).The data which is to be send from source to destination is encrypted using the secret key and the encryption algorithm. The secret key is generated, one time dynamic key is employed for one packet only and different keys are used for the successive packets. Virtual energy based encryption and keying is a secure communication framework the data to be send is encrypted using the AES algorithm. The intermediate nodes are verified the incoming packets if the incoming packet is false packet injected in the network by the malicious outsiders those packets are detected and dropped otherwise the packet is forwarded to the next node. In the virtual energy based encryption and keying there are two modes of operations they are virtual energy based encryption and keying-I and virtual energy based encryption and keying- II. In the virtual energy based encryption and keying-I each node monitors their neighbor node and in the virtual energy based encryption and keying-II each nodes randomly choose the nodes and monitors those nodes. This document presents a case study on authentication in wireless sensor networks using virtual certificate authorities. It discusses how sensor nodes can securely transmit data when moving across different wireless sensor networks. The proposed approach uses virtual certificates issued by a virtual certificate authority to authenticate moving sensor nodes. Simulation results show that the virtual certificate scheme reduces collisions compared to previous authentication algorithms. The scheme enhances security, scalability and interoperability while supporting node mobility across wireless sensor networks.

Design and Development of a Weather Drone Using IoT
This document describes the design and development of a weather drone using IoT technology. A team of students and professors from S.G. Balekundri Institute of Technology in Belgaum, India worked on this project. They equipped a drone with sensors to measure temperature and humidity and transmit the data via WiFi to a cloud server. An Android app and website were created to visualize the weather data in real-time. The drone was tested on an agricultural site and successfully recorded temperature and humidity levels that followed typical daily weather patterns. The project demonstrated how IoT-enabled drones can help farmers access real-time weather data to make informed decisions about crop management.
Implementation of usb transceiver macrocell interface
Abstract The universal serial bus (USB) transceiver macro cell interface (UTMI) is a two wire, bi-directional serial bus interface. UTMI consists of transmitting and receiving sections, in which the transmitter of the UTMI sends data to different USB devices through D+ and D- lines whereas the receiver gets data on the same lines. UTMI is one of the important functional blocks of USB controller, which can transmit and receive data to or from USB devices. There are three functional blocks present in USB controller; those are Serial Interface Engine (SIE), UTMI and Device Specific Logic (DSL). The parallel data from SIE is taken into the transmit hold register and this data is sent to transmit shift register from where the data is converted serially. This serial data is bit stuffed to perform data transitions for clock recovery and NRZI (1) encoding. Then the encoded data is sent on to the serial bus. When the data is received on the serial bus, it is decoded, bit unstuffed and is sent to receive shift register. After the shift register is full, the Data is sent to receive hold register. This presentation reveals the FPGA implementation of UTMI transmission rate providing with USB 2.0 specifications. Further UTMI has been designed by using VHDL code and simulated, synthesized and programmed to the targeted Spartan family of FPGA in the Xilinx environment. A survey on bio inspired security in wireless sensor networks
Abstract Wireless sensor networks usually comprise of a large number of nodes which are geographically dis- tributed and are not physically connected. These nodes are frequently used to sense private data and can be necessary to transmit confidential and critical data. Hence it is important to provide security for wireless sensor networks. Research is still ongoing in this field and many models have been proposed for providing security. Looking into the symbiotic nature of biological systems can give us valuable in- sights for computer networks. Because of the analo- gies between network security and how the biotic components react to perceived threats in their sur- roundings, Bio-inspired approaches for providing se- curity in networks are interesting to evaluate . Many theories from nature such as swarm intelligence, ant colony optimisation (ACO), web spider defence, bird flocking, human immune system and so forth have been used to tackle various problems in the network- ing domain. In this paper, we intend to outline and categorize the various security attacks we encounter in a wireless sensor network and review the proposed conventional security mechanisms for them and also compare it with an alternative novel approach, i.e bio-inspired approach. Abstract Wireless Sensor Network provides a solution for various applications like nuclear power plant, military. This type of application required continuous monitoring. WSN is unprotected by various attacks; wormhole attack is one of among them. In this attack an attacker able to receive a packet from one location and drop it into another location. We propose an algorithm to defend wormhole attack, which is based on public key encryption and acknowledgement based. Proposed algorithm provides secure communication and detects misbehaving nodes. In this letter, we provide an encryption technique which includes sender’s finger vein authentication in addition to the sender device authentication on the receiving side.
IRJET- Node Deployment for Improving Coverage Area in Wireless Sensor Network
This document summarizes a research paper on node deployment strategies to improve coverage area in wireless sensor networks. It discusses how node deployment is a key design issue that affects network performance metrics like coverage, connectivity, lifetime and robustness. There are two main types of node deployment - manual and random. Manual deployment precisely positions nodes but is not feasible for large-scale networks. Random deployment using techniques like aerial dropping can achieve wide coverage but results may not be optimal. The paper then reviews several node deployment algorithms proposed in other research to optimize coverage through approaches like virtual force-based mobility and bee colony optimization algorithms. It concludes node deployment is important for wireless sensor network effectiveness.
Implementation of environmental monitoring based on KAA IoT platform
Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a key to access the internet of things (IoT). The popularity of IoT and the prediction that there will be more devices connected to the Internet cause difficulties in integrating and making connected devices. The problem of IoT implementation are the lack of real-time data collection, processing, and the inability to provide continuous monitoring. To overcome these problems, this paper proposes an IoT device for monitoring environmental conditions through the IoT KAA platform that can be monitored anywhere and anytime in real time. The end device node consists of several sensors such as as temperature, humidity, carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) sensors. The collected data from the end device node will be transmitted via a communication based on IEEE 802.15.4 to Raspberry Pi gateway, then sent to the KAA cloud server and saved into the database. The environmental data can be accessed via a web-based sensor application. We Analize the performance evaluation in terms of transaction, availability, data transfer, response time, transaction rate, throughput, and concurrency. The experimental result shows that the use of KAA IoT platform is better than that without platform.

This document proposes a structureless and efficient data aggregation technique for wireless sensor networks that ensures data integrity with low transmission overhead. It introduces a concept where the base station can recover individual sensor data even after aggregation by cluster heads. This allows the base station to verify data integrity and authenticity, as well as perform any desired aggregation functions. It then proposes a structure-free scheme using intracluster and intercluster encryption and aggregation procedures. This scheme aims to address limitations of previous work such as high transmission costs and inability to query individual data values, while maintaining security and scalability. The document analyzes security and scalability aspects and argues the proposed scheme offers improved performance and efficiency for data aggregation in wireless sensor networks.
IOT ASSET TRACKING SYSTEM
This document describes an Internet of Things (IoT) based asset tracking system. It discusses the need for asset tracking in hospitals to improve safety and security. The proposed system uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags attached to assets to track their location in real-time using a GPS module. An Arduino microcontroller, ESP8266 WiFi module, encoder, decoder and rectifier are used to build the tracking device. A simulation of the system showed it could accurately display the coordinates of tagged assets. The system aims to develop a web and mobile application for easy monitoring of hospital equipment to improve operational efficiency.
Replication of attacks in a wireless sensor network using ns2
Abstract A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) comprises of sovereign sensor devices that are used to supervise physical and environmental conditions like temperature and pressure. The WSN is built of hundreds and thousands of recognizing stations called nodes, where each node consists of one or more sensors having a radio transceiver, an internal/external antenna, a microcontroller and a battery. Wireless sensor networks are the systems that are used to communicate by sensing the behavioral changes and the sensing nodes will collect the data and it will get handled. After data handling, the data will be sent to the receiver. The wireless sensor networks have to be fortified from network attacks especially at unfavorable situations because data can easily be obtained by the attackers. There are also some security protocols being implemented in sensor networks. There are some limitations in a wireless sensor network like they have limited storage capacity, limited capability of processing and limited energy to transmit data. These drawbacks can make wireless sensor network different from other networks. The imitation of the attacks are done in the NS2 simulator. IRJET- Solar Power Monitoring System using IoT
This document describes a solar power monitoring system using IoT technology. The system uses an ATmega 328 microcontroller to monitor the voltage, current and power output of solar panels. It then transmits this data wirelessly to an IoT platform called Thingspeak using an ESP8266 WiFi module. On Thingspeak, the data can be analyzed to monitor the solar plant's performance over time and detect any faults. This allows remote monitoring of solar plants from any location over the internet for improved maintenance and efficiency.
Towards design strong emergency and COVID-19 authentication scheme in VANET
The wide use of vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) in the last decade has led many researchers to find efficient and reliable methods to obtain the desired benefits and offer services, such as healthcare and traffic management. However, VANETs suffer from security issues represented by authentication and data integrity. In this paper, we propose a robust mutual authentication scheme based on elliptic curve cryptography (ECC), cryptography Hash Function, and a pseudonym. The proposed work was twofold in focus: first, on healthcare in emergency cars which use VANETs, and second, on overcoming security issues, such as resisting familiar attacks (e.g. insider attacks and reply attacks). Because of the serious situation generated by the worldwide outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, we also found this research valuable in supporting global efforts to combat the rapid spread of this virus, by finding the safest and fastest routes to epidemic treatment centres for medical staff, assistance teams in medical operations, fumigation control, and all work teams associated with disease control. This research attempts to contribute by proposing a special signal used to define epidemic teams. The best route, fast route can be chosen by using VANETs infrastructure. This scheme also deals with metric security features, such as key management, data integrity, and data privacy. In the communication and computation cost, we noticed that our proposed scheme achieved good results compared with the related works
IRJET- IoT based Classroom Automation System
This document describes an IoT-based classroom automation system that allows teachers to remotely control devices in the classroom using a mobile application. The system uses NodeMCU microcontrollers connected to sensors and appliances via relays to enable on/off control. An ultrasonic sensor detects human presence. Commands sent from the mobile app via WiFi are received by the NodeMCU which controls the relays. This allows automation of lighting, A/C, and other devices for improved energy efficiency, convenience and security while providing remote classroom monitoring capabilities.

Abstract
Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) helps to overcome various difficulties in future technology wireless communications. NOMA, when utilized with millimeter wave multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, channel estimation becomes extremely difficult. For reaping the benefits of the NOMA and mm-Wave combination, effective channel estimation is required. In this paper, we propose an enhanced particle swarm optimization based long short-term memory estimator network (PSOLSTMEstNet), which is a neural network model that can be employed to forecast the bandwidth required in the mm-Wave MIMO network. The prime advantage of the LSTM is that it has the capability of dynamically adapting to the functioning pattern of fluctuating channel state. The LSTM stage with adaptive coding and modulation enhances the BER.PSO algorithm is employed to optimize input weights of LSTM network. The modified algorithm splits the power by channel condition of every single user. Participants will be first sorted into distinct groups depending upon respective channel conditions, using a hybrid beamforming approach. Design and Development of a Weather Drone Using IoT
This document describes the design and development of a weather drone using IoT technology. A team of students and professors from S.G. Balekundri Institute of Technology in Belgaum, India worked on this project. They equipped a drone with sensors to measure temperature and humidity and transmit the data via WiFi to a cloud server. An Android app and website were created to visualize the weather data in real-time. The drone was tested on an agricultural site and successfully recorded temperature and humidity levels that followed typical daily weather patterns. The project demonstrated how IoT-enabled drones can help farmers access real-time weather data to make informed decisions about crop management.
Implementation of usb transceiver macrocell interface
Abstract The universal serial bus (USB) transceiver macro cell interface (UTMI) is a two wire, bi-directional serial bus interface. UTMI consists of transmitting and receiving sections, in which the transmitter of the UTMI sends data to different USB devices through D+ and D- lines whereas the receiver gets data on the same lines. UTMI is one of the important functional blocks of USB controller, which can transmit and receive data to or from USB devices. There are three functional blocks present in USB controller; those are Serial Interface Engine (SIE), UTMI and Device Specific Logic (DSL). The parallel data from SIE is taken into the transmit hold register and this data is sent to transmit shift register from where the data is converted serially. This serial data is bit stuffed to perform data transitions for clock recovery and NRZI (1) encoding. Then the encoded data is sent on to the serial bus. When the data is received on the serial bus, it is decoded, bit unstuffed and is sent to receive shift register. After the shift register is full, the Data is sent to receive hold register. This presentation reveals the FPGA implementation of UTMI transmission rate providing with USB 2.0 specifications. Further UTMI has been designed by using VHDL code and simulated, synthesized and programmed to the targeted Spartan family of FPGA in the Xilinx environment. A survey on bio inspired security in wireless sensor networks
Abstract Wireless sensor networks usually comprise of a large number of nodes which are geographically dis- tributed and are not physically connected. These nodes are frequently used to sense private data and can be necessary to transmit confidential and critical data. Hence it is important to provide security for wireless sensor networks. Research is still ongoing in this field and many models have been proposed for providing security. Looking into the symbiotic nature of biological systems can give us valuable in- sights for computer networks. Because of the analo- gies between network security and how the biotic components react to perceived threats in their sur- roundings, Bio-inspired approaches for providing se- curity in networks are interesting to evaluate . Many theories from nature such as swarm intelligence, ant colony optimisation (ACO), web spider defence, bird flocking, human immune system and so forth have been used to tackle various problems in the network- ing domain. In this paper, we intend to outline and categorize the various security attacks we encounter in a wireless sensor network and review the proposed conventional security mechanisms for them and also compare it with an alternative novel approach, i.e bio-inspired approach. Abstract Wireless Sensor Network provides a solution for various applications like nuclear power plant, military. This type of application required continuous monitoring. WSN is unprotected by various attacks; wormhole attack is one of among them. In this attack an attacker able to receive a packet from one location and drop it into another location. We propose an algorithm to defend wormhole attack, which is based on public key encryption and acknowledgement based. Proposed algorithm provides secure communication and detects misbehaving nodes. IRJET- Node Deployment for Improving Coverage Area in Wireless Sensor Network
This document summarizes a research paper on node deployment strategies to improve coverage area in wireless sensor networks. It discusses how node deployment is a key design issue that affects network performance metrics like coverage, connectivity, lifetime and robustness. There are two main types of node deployment - manual and random. Manual deployment precisely positions nodes but is not feasible for large-scale networks. Random deployment using techniques like aerial dropping can achieve wide coverage but results may not be optimal. The paper then reviews several node deployment algorithms proposed in other research to optimize coverage through approaches like virtual force-based mobility and bee colony optimization algorithms. It concludes node deployment is important for wireless sensor network effectiveness.
Implementation of environmental monitoring based on KAA IoT platform
Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a key to access the internet of things (IoT). The popularity of IoT and the prediction that there will be more devices connected to the Internet cause difficulties in integrating and making connected devices. The problem of IoT implementation are the lack of real-time data collection, processing, and the inability to provide continuous monitoring. To overcome these problems, this paper proposes an IoT device for monitoring environmental conditions through the IoT KAA platform that can be monitored anywhere and anytime in real time. The end device node consists of several sensors such as as temperature, humidity, carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) sensors. The collected data from the end device node will be transmitted via a communication based on IEEE 802.15.4 to Raspberry Pi gateway, then sent to the KAA cloud server and saved into the database. The environmental data can be accessed via a web-based sensor application. We Analize the performance evaluation in terms of transaction, availability, data transfer, response time, transaction rate, throughput, and concurrency. The experimental result shows that the use of KAA IoT platform is better than that without platform.

This document proposes a structureless and efficient data aggregation technique for wireless sensor networks that ensures data integrity with low transmission overhead. It introduces a concept where the base station can recover individual sensor data even after aggregation by cluster heads. This allows the base station to verify data integrity and authenticity, as well as perform any desired aggregation functions. It then proposes a structure-free scheme using intracluster and intercluster encryption and aggregation procedures. This scheme aims to address limitations of previous work such as high transmission costs and inability to query individual data values, while maintaining security and scalability. The document analyzes security and scalability aspects and argues the proposed scheme offers improved performance and efficiency for data aggregation in wireless sensor networks.
IOT ASSET TRACKING SYSTEM
This document describes an Internet of Things (IoT) based asset tracking system. It discusses the need for asset tracking in hospitals to improve safety and security. The proposed system uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags attached to assets to track their location in real-time using a GPS module. An Arduino microcontroller, ESP8266 WiFi module, encoder, decoder and rectifier are used to build the tracking device. A simulation of the system showed it could accurately display the coordinates of tagged assets. The system aims to develop a web and mobile application for easy monitoring of hospital equipment to improve operational efficiency.
Replication of attacks in a wireless sensor network using ns2
Abstract A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) comprises of sovereign sensor devices that are used to supervise physical and environmental conditions like temperature and pressure. The WSN is built of hundreds and thousands of recognizing stations called nodes, where each node consists of one or more sensors having a radio transceiver, an internal/external antenna, a microcontroller and a battery. Wireless sensor networks are the systems that are used to communicate by sensing the behavioral changes and the sensing nodes will collect the data and it will get handled. After data handling, the data will be sent to the receiver. The wireless sensor networks have to be fortified from network attacks especially at unfavorable situations because data can easily be obtained by the attackers. There are also some security protocols being implemented in sensor networks. There are some limitations in a wireless sensor network like they have limited storage capacity, limited capability of processing and limited energy to transmit data. These drawbacks can make wireless sensor network different from other networks. The imitation of the attacks are done in the NS2 simulator. IRJET- Solar Power Monitoring System using IoT
This document describes a solar power monitoring system using IoT technology. The system uses an ATmega 328 microcontroller to monitor the voltage, current and power output of solar panels. It then transmits this data wirelessly to an IoT platform called Thingspeak using an ESP8266 WiFi module. On Thingspeak, the data can be analyzed to monitor the solar plant's performance over time and detect any faults. This allows remote monitoring of solar plants from any location over the internet for improved maintenance and efficiency.
Towards design strong emergency and COVID-19 authentication scheme in VANET
The wide use of vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) in the last decade has led many researchers to find efficient and reliable methods to obtain the desired benefits and offer services, such as healthcare and traffic management. However, VANETs suffer from security issues represented by authentication and data integrity. In this paper, we propose a robust mutual authentication scheme based on elliptic curve cryptography (ECC), cryptography Hash Function, and a pseudonym. The proposed work was twofold in focus: first, on healthcare in emergency cars which use VANETs, and second, on overcoming security issues, such as resisting familiar attacks (e.g. insider attacks and reply attacks). Because of the serious situation generated by the worldwide outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, we also found this research valuable in supporting global efforts to combat the rapid spread of this virus, by finding the safest and fastest routes to epidemic treatment centres for medical staff, assistance teams in medical operations, fumigation control, and all work teams associated with disease control. This research attempts to contribute by proposing a special signal used to define epidemic teams. The best route, fast route can be chosen by using VANETs infrastructure. This scheme also deals with metric security features, such as key management, data integrity, and data privacy. In the communication and computation cost, we noticed that our proposed scheme achieved good results compared with the related works
IRJET- IoT based Classroom Automation System
This document describes an IoT-based classroom automation system that allows teachers to remotely control devices in the classroom using a mobile application. The system uses NodeMCU microcontrollers connected to sensors and appliances via relays to enable on/off control. An ultrasonic sensor detects human presence. Commands sent from the mobile app via WiFi are received by the NodeMCU which controls the relays. This allows automation of lighting, A/C, and other devices for improved energy efficiency, convenience and security while providing remote classroom monitoring capabilities.

Abstract
Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) helps to overcome various difficulties in future technology wireless communications. NOMA, when utilized with millimeter wave multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, channel estimation becomes extremely difficult. For reaping the benefits of the NOMA and mm-Wave combination, effective channel estimation is required. In this paper, we propose an enhanced particle swarm optimization based long short-term memory estimator network (PSOLSTMEstNet), which is a neural network model that can be employed to forecast the bandwidth required in the mm-Wave MIMO network. The prime advantage of the LSTM is that it has the capability of dynamically adapting to the functioning pattern of fluctuating channel state. The LSTM stage with adaptive coding and modulation enhances the BER.PSO algorithm is employed to optimize input weights of LSTM network. The modified algorithm splits the power by channel condition of every single user. Participants will be first sorted into distinct groups depending upon respective channel conditions, using a hybrid beamforming approach. The network characteristics are fine-estimated using PSO-LSTMEstNet after a rough approximation of channels parameters derived from the received data.

Enhanced Traffic Congestion Management with Fog Computing - A Simulation-Base...
Abstract: Accurate latency computation is essential for the Internet of Things (IoT) since the connected
devices generate a vast amount of data that is processed on cloud infrastructure. However, the cloud is not
an optimal solution. To overcome this issue, fog computing is used to enable processing at the edge while
still allowing communication with the cloud. Many applications rely on fog computing, including traffic
management. In this paper, an Intelligent Traffic Congestion Mitigation System (ITCMS) is proposed to
address traffic congestion in heavily populated smart cities. The proposed system is implemented using fog
computing and tested in a crowdedCairo city. The results obtained indicate that the execution time of the
simulation is 4,538 seconds, and the delay in the application loop is 49.67 seconds. The paper addresses
various issues, including CPU usage, heap memory usage, throughput, and the total average delay, which
are essential for evaluating the performance of the ITCMS. Our system model is also compared with other
models to assess its performance. A comparison is made using two parameters, namely throughput and the
total average delay, between the ITCMS, IOV (Internet of Vehicle), and STL (Seasonal-Trend
Decomposition Procedure based on LOESS). Consequently, the results confirm that the proposed system
outperforms the others in terms of higher accuracy, lower latency, and improved traffic efficiency.

Rendezvous Sequence Generation Algorithm for Cognitive Radio Networks in Post...
Recent natural disasters have inflicted tremendous damage on humanity, with their scale progressively increasing and leading to numerous casualties. Events such as earthquakes can trigger secondary disasters, such as tsunamis, further complicating the situation by destroying communication infrastructures. This destruction impedes the dissemination of information about secondary disasters and complicates post-disaster rescue efforts. Consequently, there is an urgent demand for technologies capable of substituting for these destroyed communication infrastructures. This paper proposes a technique for generating rendezvous sequences to swiftly reconnect communication infrastructures in post-disaster scenarios. We compare the time required for rendezvous using the proposed technique against existing methods and analyze the average time taken to establish links with the rendezvous technique, discussing its significance. This research presents a novel approach enabling rapid recovery of destroyed communication infrastructures in disaster environments through Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) technology, showcasing the potential to significantly improve disaster response and recovery efforts. The proposed method reduces the time for the rendezvous compared to existing methods, suggesting that it can enhance the efficiency of rescue operations in post-disaster scenarios and contribute to life-saving efforts.

The relationship between doctors and patients is reinforced through the expanded communication channels provided by remote healthcare services, resulting in heightened patient satisfaction and loyalty. Nonetheless, the growth of these services is hampered by security and privacy challenges they confront. Additionally, patient electronic health records (EHR) information is dispersed across multiple hospitals in different formats, undermining data sovereignty. It allows any service to assert authority over their EHR, effectively controlling its usage. This paper proposes a blockchain enforced attribute-based access control in healthcare service. To enhance the privacy and data-sovereignty, the proposed system employs attribute-based access control, zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) and blockchain. The role of data within our system is pivotal in defining attributes. These attributes, in turn, form the fundamental basis for access control criteria. Blockchain is used to keep hospital information in public chain but EHR related data in private chain. Furthermore, EHR provides access control by using the attributed based cryptosystem before they are stored in the blockchain. EECRPSID: Energy-Efficient Cluster-Based Routing Protocol with a Secure Intru...
A revolutionary idea that has gained significance in technology for Internet of Things (IoT) networks backed by WSNs is the " Energy-Efficient Cluster-Based Routing Protocol with a Secure Intrusion Detection" (EECRPSID). A WSN-powered IoT infrastructure's hardware foundation is hardware with autonomous sensing capabilities. The significant features of the proposed technology are intelligent environment sensing, independent data collection, and information transfer to connected devices. However, hardware flaws and issues with energy consumption may be to blame for device failures in WSN-assisted IoT networks. This can potentially obstruct the transfer of data. A reliable route significantly reduces data retransmissions, which reduces traffic and conserves energy. The sensor hardware is often widely dispersed by IoT networks that enable WSNs. Data duplication could occur if numerous sensor devices are used to monitor a location. Finding a solution to this issue by using clustering. Clustering lessens network traffic while retaining path dependability compared to the multipath technique. To relieve duplicate data in EECRPSID, we applied the clustering technique. The multipath strategy might make the provided protocol more dependable. Using the EECRPSID algorithm, will reduce the overall energy consumption, minimize the End-to-end delay to 0.14s, achieve a 99.8% Packet Delivery Ratio, and the network's lifespan will be increased. The NS2 simulator is used to run the whole set of simulations. The EECRPSID method has been implemented in NS2, and simulated results indicate that comparing the other three technologies improves the performance measures.
Analysis and Evolution of SHA-1 Algorithm - Analytical Technique
A 160-bit (20-byte) hash value, sometimes called a message digest, is generated using the SHA-1 (Secure Hash Algorithm 1) hash function in cryptography. This value is commonly represented as 40 hexadecimal digits. It is a Federal Information Processing Standard in the United States and was developed by the National Security Agency. Although it has been cryptographically cracked, the technique is still in widespread usage. In this work, we conduct a detailed and practical analysis of the SHA-1 algorithm's theoretical elements and show how they have been implemented through the use of several different hash configurations.
Optimizing CNN-BiGRU Performance: Mish Activation and Comparative Analysis
Deep learning is currently extensively employed across a range of research domains. The continuous advancements in deep learning techniques contribute to solving intricate challenges. Activation functions (AF) are fundamental components within neural networks, enabling them to capture complex patterns and relationships in the data. By introducing non-linearities, AF empowers neural networks to model and adapt to the diverse and nuanced nature of real-world data, enhancing their ability to make accurate predictions across various tasks. In the context of intrusion detection, the Mish, a recent AF, was implemented in the CNN-BiGRU model, using three datasets: ASNM-TUN, ASNM-CDX, and HOGZILLA. The comparison with Rectified Linear Unit (ReLU), a widely used AF, revealed that Mish outperforms ReLU, showcasing superior performance across the evaluated datasets. This study illuminates the effectiveness of AF in elevating the performance of intrusion detection systems.
An Hybrid Framework OTFS-OFDM Based on Mobile Speed Estimation
The Future wireless communication systems face the challenging task of simultaneously providing high-quality service (QoS) and broadband data transmission, while also minimizing power consumption, latency, and system complexity. Although Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been widely adopted in 4G and 5G systems, it struggles to cope with a significant delay and Doppler spread in high mobility scenarios. To address these challenges, a novel waveform named Orthogonal Time Frequency Space (OTFS). Designers aim to outperform OFDM by closely aligning signals with the channel behaviour. In this paper, we propose a switching strategy that empowers operators to select the most appropriate waveform based on an estimated speed of the mobile user. This strategy enables the base station to dynamically choose the waveform that best suits the mobile user’s speed. Additionally, we suggest retaining an Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) radar approach for accurate Doppler estimation. This provides precise information to facilitate the waveform selection procedure. By leveraging the switching strategy and harnessing the Doppler estimation capabilities of an ISAC radar.Our proposed approach aims to enhance the performance of wireless communication systems in high mobility cases. Considering the complexity of waveform processing, we introduce an optimized hybrid system that combines OTFS and OFDM, resulting in reduced complexity while still retaining performance benefits.This hybrid system presents a promising solution for improving the performance of wireless communication systems in higher mobility.The simulation results validate the effectiveness of our approach, demonstrating its potential advantages for future wireless communication systems. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is validated by simulation results as it will be illustrated.
Enhanced Traffic Congestion Management with Fog Computing - A Simulation-Base...
Accurate latency computation is essential for the Internet of Things (IoT) since the connected devices generate a vast amount of data that is processed on cloud infrastructure. However, the cloud is not an optimal solution. To overcome this issue, fog computing is used to enable processing at the edge while still allowing communication with the cloud. Many applications rely on fog computing, including traffic management. In this paper, an Intelligent Traffic Congestion Mitigation System (ITCMS) is proposed to address traffic congestion in heavily populated smart cities. The proposed system is implemented using fog computing and tested in a crowdedCairo city. The results obtained indicate that the execution time of the simulation is 4,538 seconds, and the delay in the application loop is 49.67 seconds. The paper addresses various issues, including CPU usage, heap memory usage, throughput, and the total average delay, which are essential for evaluating the performance of the ITCMS. Our system model is also compared with other models to assess its performance. A comparison is made using two parameters, namely throughput and the total average delay, between the ITCMS, IOV (Internet of Vehicle), and STL (Seasonal-Trend Decomposition Procedure based on LOESS). Consequently, the results confirm that the proposed system outperforms the others in terms of higher accuracy, lower latency, and improved traffic efficiency.
Rendezvous Sequence Generation Algorithm for Cognitive Radio Networks in Post...
Recent natural disasters have inflicted tremendous damage on humanity, with their scale progressively increasing and leading to numerous casualties. Events such as earthquakes can trigger secondary disasters, such as tsunamis, further complicating the situation by destroying communication infrastructures. This destruction impedes the dissemination of information about secondary disasters and complicates post-disaster rescue efforts. Consequently, there is an urgent demand for technologies capable of substituting for these destroyed communication infrastructures. This paper proposes a technique for generating rendezvous sequences to swiftly reconnect communication infrastructures in post-disaster scenarios. We compare the time required for rendezvous using the proposed technique against existing methods and analyze the average time taken to establish links with the rendezvous technique, discussing its significance. This research presents a novel approach enabling rapid recovery of destroyed communication infrastructures in disaster environments through Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) technology, showcasing the potential to significantly improve disaster response and recovery efforts. The proposed method reduces the time for the rendezvous compared to existing methods, suggesting that it can enhance the efficiency of rescue operations in post-disaster scenarios and contribute to life-saving efforts.

Vehicle Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) have become a viable technology to improve traffic flow and safety on the roads. Due to its effectiveness and scalability, the Wingsuit Search-based Optimised Link State Routing Protocol (WS-OLSR) is frequently used for data distribution in VANETs. However, the selection of MultiPoint Relays (MPRs) plays a pivotal role in WS-OLSR's performance. This paper presents an improved MPR selection algorithm tailored to WS-OLSR, designed to enhance the overall routing efficiency and reduce overhead. The analysis found that the current OLSR protocol has problems such as redundancy of HELLO and TC message packets or failure to update routing information in time, so a WS-OLSR routing protocol based on improved-MPR selection algorithm was proposed. Firstly, factors such as node mobility and link changes are comprehensively considered to reflect network topology changes, and the broadcast cycle of node HELLO messages is controlled through topology changes. Secondly, a new MPR selection algorithm is proposed, considering link stability issues and nodes. Finally, evaluate its effectiveness in terms of packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay, and control message overhead. Simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of our improved MR selection algorithm when compared to traditional approaches.

So far, Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs) have played a pivotal role in driving the development of intelligent healthcare systems with broad applicability across various domains. Each WBAN consists of one or more types of sensors that can be embedded in clothing, attached directly to the body, or even implanted beneath an individual's skin. These sensors typically serve asingle application. However, the traffic generated by each sensor may have distinct requirements. This diversity necessitates a dual approach: tailored treatment based on the specific needs of each traffic typeand the fulfillment of application requirements, such asreliability and timeliness. Never the less, the presence of energy constraints and the unreliable nature of wireless communications make QoS provisioning under such networks a non-trivial task. In this context, the current paper introduces a novel Medium AccessControl (MAC) strategy for the regular traffic applications of WBANs, designed to significantly enhance efficiency when compared to the established MAC protocols IEEE 802.15.4 and IEEE 802.15.6, with a particular focus on improving reliability, timeliness, and energy efficiency.

A Topology Control Algorithm Taking into Account Energy and Quality of Transm...
The efficient use of energy in wireless sensor networks is critical for extending node lifetime. The network topology is one of the factors that have a significant impact on the energy usage at the nodes and the quality of transmission (QoT) in the network. We propose a topology control algorithm for software-defined wireless sensor networks (SDWSNs) in this paper. Our method is to formulate topology control algorithm as a nonlinear programming (NP) problem with the objective to optimizing two metrics, maximum communication range, and desired degree. This NP problem is solved at the SDWSN controller by employing the genetic algorithm (GA) to determine the best topology. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the MaxPower algorithm in terms of average node degree and energy expansion ratio.

The integration of artificial intelligence technology with a scalable Internet of Things (IoT) platform facilitates diverse smart communication services, allowing remote users to access services from anywhere at any time. The multi-server environment within IoT introduces a flexible security service model, enabling users to interact with any server through a single registration. To ensure secure and privacy preservation services for resources, an authentication scheme is essential. Zhao et al. recently introduced a user authentication scheme for the multi-server environment, utilizing passwords and smart cards, claiming resilience against well-known attacks. This paper conducts cryptanalysis on Zhao et al.'s scheme, focusing on denial of service and privacy attacks, revealing a lack of user-friendliness. Subsequently, we propose a new multi-server user authentication scheme for privacy preservation with fuzzy commitment over the IoT environment, addressing the shortcomings of Zhao et al.'s scheme. Formal security verification of the proposed scheme is conducted using the ProVerif simulation tool. Through both formal and informal security analyses, we demonstrate that the proposed scheme is resilient against various known attacks and those identified in Zhao et al.'s scheme.
Advanced Privacy Scheme to Improve Road Safety in Smart Transportation Systems
In -Vehicle Ad-Hoc Network (VANET), vehicles continuously transmit and receive spatiotemporal data with neighboring vehicles, thereby establishing a comprehensive 360-degree traffic awareness system. Vehicular Network safety applications facilitate the transmission of messages between vehicles that are near each other, at regular intervals, enhancing drivers' contextual understanding of the driving environment and significantly improving traffic safety. Privacy schemes in VANETs are vital to safeguard vehicles’ identities and their associated owners or drivers. Privacy schemes prevent unauthorized parties from linking the vehicle's communications to a specific real-world identity by employing techniques such as pseudonyms, randomization, or cryptographic protocols. Nevertheless, these communications frequently contain important vehicle information that malevolent groups could use to Monitor the vehicle over a long period. The acquisition of this shared data has the potential to facilitate the reconstruction of vehicle trajectories, thereby posing a potential risk to the privacy of the driver. Addressing the critical challenge of developing effective and scalable privacy-preserving protocols for communication in vehicle networks is of the highest priority. These protocols aim to reduce the transmission of confidential data while ensuring the required level of communication. This paper aims to propose an Advanced Privacy Vehicle Scheme (APV) that periodically changes pseudonyms to protect vehicle identities and improve privacy. The APV scheme utilizes a concept called the silent period, which involves changing the pseudonym of a vehicle periodically based on the tracking of neighboring vehicles. The pseudonym is a temporary identifier that vehicles use to communicate with each other in a VANET. By changing the pseudonym regularly, the APV scheme makes it difficult for unauthorized entities to link a vehicle's communications to its real-world identity. The proposed APV is compared to the SLOW, RSP, CAPS, and CPN techniques. The data indicates that the efficiency of APV is a better improvement in privacy metrics. It is evident that the AVP offers enhanced safety for vehicles during transportation in the smart city.

The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.
