Rehabilitasi Hutan dan Lahan oleh CBO Hintuwua, Lonca, Sigi, Sulawesi TengahSCBFWM
Pendidikan yang relatif rendah membuat sebagian masyarakat desa Lonca tidak punya pilihan lain selain buruh tani dan berladang. Lokasi yang terpencil serta akses jalan yang belum baik menjadikan masyarakat desa Lonca agak terisolir. Pola kehidupan seperti ini merupakan ancaman bagi kelestarian hutan yang menjadi bagian dari desa lonca. Kelompok masyarakat Hintuwua dibentuk dengan tujuan untuk menjaga kelestarian hutan dan DAS serta meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat tanpa merusak hutan, selain itu CBO juga diharapkan sebagai motor penggerak di Desa.

CBO Bonmeni berupaya mengatasi masalah kekurangan air di desa mereka selama musim kemarau dengan membangun tanggul penahan air, embung mini, dan membuat bak penampungan air melalui kerja gotong royong. Upaya ini dimaksudkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air minum, mandi, dan pertanian warga. CBO terus berinisiatif mengatasi tantangan terpencilnya desa dengan semangat swadaya.
Konservasi Berbasis DAS oleh CBO Perkasa di Sub-DAS Tulis, Wonosobo, Jawa TengahSCBFWM
Kelompok Perkasa 2 di Desa Dieng, Wonosobo berupaya mengkonservasi lahan dengan tanaman buah Carica dan terong Belanda melalui dukungan SCBFWM. Mereka melakukan pembibitan, penanaman, dan pemeliharaan tanaman di lahan anggota serta demplot konservasi. Upaya ini telah menghasilkan panen buah Carica yang diolah menjadi produk seperti dodol, coklat, selai, dan syrup untuk meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat.

Mereka harus menempuh jarak yang cukup jauh untuk mendapatkan air untuk kebutuhan hidup mereka sehari-hari. Melalui program hibah kecil dari Proyek SCBFWM, CBO Melati Mekarsari berinisiatif mewujudkan instalasi air bersih dari sumber mata air hingga ke rumah-rumah. Kini mereka tidak lagi kesulitan mengakses air bersih, bahkan, mereka saat ini mengembangkan kerajinan dari bambu dari waktu luang yang tersisa. 4. Édifiée en vue de l’exposition de 1889, la Tour Eiffel est l’œuvre de l’ingénieur Gustave Eiffel, celui-là même qui a conçu la charpente métallique de la Statue de la liberté. Le plus célèbre monument français, qui a inspiré tant d’écrivains, de chanteurs, d’artistes, n’a pas toujours fait l’unanimité. Au départ, de nombreuses personnalités s’élèvent contre ce projet : « Inutile et monstrueuse Tour Eiffel… dont la commerciale Amérique elle-même ne voudrait pas. » Avec son antenne de télévision, la Tour s’élève à 320,75 m. Elle comporte 15 000 pièces métalliques et 2500 000 rivets. Elle abrite un restaurant de premier ordre, le Jules Vernes. A gauche de la Tour Eiffel, le Champ de Mars.

En 1677, Le Notre, le génial inventeur des jardins à la française, « qui ne pouvait souffrir les vues bornées », décide de prolonger la perspective des Tuileries, son œuvre, par une double rangée d’ormes. C’est l’ébauche des Champs-Élysées. Cette allée se termine alors au rond-point, également tracé par Le Nôtre. Au 18 ème siècle, les Champs-Elysées (appellation datant en fait de 1789), sont prolongés jusqu’au niveau de l’Etoile puis du Pont de Neuilly. La course cycliste « le tour de France » s’achève traditionnellement sur cette avenue, que les coureurs parcourent 10 fois. Ils montent jusqu’au Rond-point, tournent et redescendent, au milieu d’une foule enthousiaste et bon enfant.

La Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, qui a l’aspect d’une pièce montée, est un haut lieu touristique, sans doute à cause de sa situation en plein Montmartre et de la vue qu’on y a sur Paris et au-delà, jusqu’à 50 km par temps clair. C’est à la suite de l’écrasante défaite de 1870/71 que l’Assemblée Nationale, entraînée par les catholiques français, décide sa construction en signe d’espérance. Quêtes et souscriptions sont organisées. On peut « acheter » une pierre, ou un pilier, ou une colonne. Il a fallu un énorme chariot traîné par plus de 20 paires de bœufs pour y hisser la Savoyarde, une des plus grosses cloches du monde (19 tonnes).

Cet ensemble des Invalides est le symbole même de l’architecture classique dans sa perfection. « L’ Hôtel Royal des Invalides », construit de 1871 à 1876, est voulu par Louis XIV pour héberger les milliers de soldats blessés dans les armées. Le 14 juillet 1789, la foule attaque les bâtiments, neutralise les gardes et s’empare de 30.000 fusils qui lui serviront à conquérir la Bastille. La Révolution était lancée. En 1840, les cendres de Napoléon y sont transportées en grande pompe. Le fameux mausolée ne sera achevé que 25 ans plus tard. L’esplanade des Invalides, longue de 500 m et large de 250, a été aménagée au début du 18 ème . La coupole (dépendant de l’Église du Dôme) a été redorée en 1937; Il a fallu 350 000 feuilles d’or, si minces que le tout ne pesait que 6 kg.

12. A la suite d’un vœu, Louis XIV décide de bâtir une nouvelle et somptueuse église pour l’abbaye de Ste Geneviève, patronne de Paris. Elle aura la forme d’une croix grecque. Commencé en 1758, l’édifice ne sera achevé qu’à la veille de la Révolution. Vous pensez bien que le gouvernement d’alors, la Constituante, ne lui a pas laissé cette vocation religieuse. Il est transformé en temple destiné à recevoir « les grands hommes de l’époque de la liberté française ». C’est le Panthéon, avec sa célèbre inscription : « Aux grands hommes, la patrie reconnaissante ». Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Victor Hugo y reposent, et aussi Jean Moulin, héros de la Résistance, tué par les nazis pendant la 2 ème guerre mondiale. L’église sur la gauche est l’église Saint-Etienne-Du-Mont. A côté de l’église, le lycée Henri IV avec, emmaillotée d’échafaudages, la tour de Clovis, seul vestige de l’Abbaye Sainte-Geneviève.

14. Vue générale des deux îles de la Seine, au cœur et le cœur de Paris : au premier plan, l’Île de la Cité, berceau de la capitale. C’est là, au IIIème siècle avant J.C., que s’installe la tribu des Parisii. Ils fondent Lutèce qui, au premier siècle après J.C. deviendra une petite bourgade gallo-romaine. Notre-Dame apparaît plus tard, ainsi que le palais de justice, avec la Sainte-Chapelle que l’on voit à l’arrière-plan. Saint Louis avait ordonné la construction de la sainte Chapelle pour abriter la relique de la couronne du Christ, qu’il avait ramenée de la croisade. C’est un vrai bijou, un véritable écrin, avec de magnifiques vitraux.

16. La Place de la République est une création d’Haussmann qui fait aménager, à partir de 1854, ce vaste espace afin de désamorcer les quartiers populaires de l’Est parisien, trop remuants à son gré. Le parcours entre la République et la Bastille n’en est pas moins resté un lieu de prédilection pour les défilés politiques et les marches de protestation ouvrière. A droite, la caserne Vérines, également construite du temps d’Haussmann pour abriter 2 000 hommes. Le monument de la République, au centre, date de 1883.

18. Pour terminer notre survol de Paris, cet édifice construit en cercle : La Maison de la Radio. Construite en 1963, elle abrite les différents services de Radio-France. On y trouve aussi des auditoriums. Ses kilomètres de couloirs en font un labyrinthe où il est aussi difficile de se retrouver qu’au Pentagone, à Washington. Mais elle n’abrite pas tous les studios de radio, il en existe en plusieurs points de la capitale. Peut-être que l’on avait vu trop petit…
