5. I have supported Sunderland AFC since I was 5 years old. I didn’t know what ‘AFC’ meant until I was 12 years old. I didn’t go to a match until I was 17 years old, BUT… Once I went to a game I was hooked!!! I had a season ticket when I was 19 years old, I went with my friend! I continue to follow every game. I started supporting Sunderland because my family did!!!

DID YOU KNOW… The 8th Special Olympics GB National Summer Games, which took place from 25 - 31 July 2009 in Leicester, was a considerable success for the Northern team. 270 athletes represented the Northern region in 21 different sports, including football, athletics, judo, equestrian and boccia. The final medal tally for the Northern region was 64 Gold, 55 Silver and 54 Bronze, which was a fantastic medal haul for the team. Would you know where people need to go to watch or play disabled sport?
