Tell them a little about how long you have been with the company and what you like about working for H&R Block. Get to know participants in the class by conducting class introductions. Tell participants how glad you are they chose the H&R Block Income Tax Course as the beginning of a worthwhile, and life changing experience, whether they are offered a position with H&R Block or just want to broaden their tax knowledge. Say: You don’t need to bring much to be successful in the course. The instructor will provide the text book, workbook and forms. You will need to bring a pencil and a calculator. Say: I am sure that most of you want to know what you need to do to pass this course. During the course you will be taking quizzes and having graded reviews. You will also have to take a Mid-Term and Final Exam. You must have a cumulative score of at least 80% in order to achieve a passing grade. Along with your scores you also have to attend the class regularly. You must attend a minimum of 72 hours in class. Don’t be late. If for some reason you are unable to attend you may locate a substitute class time. The next slide will talk about the attendance requirements and what to do about making up a class. Next Slide

It is very important that you attend all of the classes. As we just talked about you must attend at lease 72 hours in class time to pass the course. Make sure that you sign in and out of every class. You are allowed to make up a class but you must make sure to pick up a “Make-Up Attendance sheet from the instructor of the make-up class. Then bring it to your next regularly scheduled class and present it to your instructor. That way we can make sure you receive credit for attending.
