is about 2 thirds of Kenya's female MPs walking away from a debate on new
sex crime laws. These women walked away extremely angrily after someone
said that woman were too afraid to just say no. There is no Author or
Editor for this article written, but I did evaluate the site by looking up
information on BBC news. I found that BBC News is a trusted news sorce all
over the world. It has separate sections for different countries. This
article showed me that people in Africa still believe that women are afraid
of men and that they are superior to them. Even after all the moves forward
Kenya has made, there are still a few who are far behind.

book, the author discusses the activities and social results of many Kenyan
women organizations. What I was looking for in this source was the
organizations Charity Ngilu is involved in and how her involvement has
benefited Kenya. In order to evaluate this source I did some background research on the
author. Upon doing this research I found that the book has been reviewed
and said to be a good informational read. Reading certain articles in this book has helped
me understand more about the affects of feminism on women and some of the things
people are doing to help. For example Charity Ngilu is a leader of the Nattional
Women's organization. This organization is raising money to educate more
women in rural countries.
Maathai, Wangari. Unbowed. New York: Random, 2006. Print. The information found
in Unbowed was a whole range of information on feminism. She told her story
of being discriminated against because she was a women from the time she
was a young girl to being an adult. The information in Unbowed is reliable because it
is a memoir that has information that is supported from other sources such as BBC
news and articles on sweet search. However, because the book is told from a first
person stance, then there may be some bias. The information in this source helped
enhanced my understanding of feminism because I was able to see real events in
which feminism played a key role. For example, when Wangari was a young child and
her family hadn't sent her to school, but had sent her brothers, showed me that feminism
started early on without people realizing it. Her family thought nothing of
it that she wasn't sent to school.

signed in Kenya. This bill is the Nile Basin Pact. It states that all who
sign it will be able to use the Nile's many resources openly. The author of
this article is Walter Menya. Upon doing research on him to evaluate his
credability, I discovered that he has written many articles on the Genocide
as well as other political topics on Kenya. I learned from this article
that the Nile is a very important resource, not just for Kenya but for many
coutnries in Africa. One of Kenya's most powerful female activist, Charity
Ngilu, has been working toward getting Kenya a better water supply. This
bill being passed is extremely important in order for this to happen. “
Tripp, Aili Mari. "New Trends in Women's Political Participation in Africa."
N.d. PDF file. This article discusses what is going on in politics in
Africa. More specifically with women involved in politics there. It tells
about what's changing within that field. In order to evaluate this
document, I researched the author, Aili Mari Tripp. I discovered that she
Is a professor of political science and gender and women's studies at the
University of Wisconsin-Madison. I also found that she is the director of
the Center for Research on Gender and Women. Reading this file increased my
knowledge of what is going on in Africa. There were also some things to
learn about Charity Ngilu in this article.
