OVERALL RATING HIGH
 Time is most essential thing while launching a product in any
market. Bajaj Pulsar was first introduce in the year 2001.previously
Bajaj was famous for its scooters, so its experience in two wheeler
is very high. By the cost of the entry we mean the initial capital
required to set up a new firm is very high, it makes the chances of
new entrants are low as compare to automobile industry.
 The new product has to be different and attractive to be accepted
by the customers. Attractiveness can be measured in the terms of
the features , price etc. At this level the price of the Bajaj pulsar is
one thing that is attracting customers. Its on road price is Rs 70,000
which is very low as compare to other brand bikes with same
feature.
Factors Bajaj Pulsar Advantages Buyer Power
Differentiation Technology, style, price High
Concentration Large Number of Consumers High
Profitability Easy Availability Of Loans High
Quality Strong body with advance
technology and high pick up
High
OVERALL RATING HIGH
 Number of customers/Volume of sales -There are very
large buyers of Bajaj pulsar 150 and it is also india largest selling
model bike till date. The bargaining power of buyer is low
because its giving good feature like looks, mileage, pick up is
very high as compare to others bike in very low cost.Till now Bajaj
Pulsar sold more than five million bikes and pulsar 150 model
more as compare to other pulsar model
 Switching cost:- switching cost is very low because people
trust more on Bajaj pulsar because its have high technology bike
with attractive looks and good mileage as compare to other brand
bikes
Factors Bajaj pulsar Advantages Suppliers power
Concentration High High
Switching Costs Low Low
Organization/cartel No Low
Diversification of
Supplier Products
No Low
OVERALL RATING LOW
A company to manufacture its products requires raw material,
labor etc. If there are few suppliers providing material essential to
make a product then they can set the price high to capture more
profit. Powerful suppliers can squeeze industry profitability to
great extend. In case of Bajaj pulsar the supplier are limited and
the size of the suppliers are big enough to bring about the
controlling power in the price of the bike. Bajaj pulsar is India
second largest bike manufacturing company so supplier power is
very high and switching cost to other manufacture is low because
he get good price for his materials.
Factors Bajaj pulsar Advantages Threat of Substitute

OVERALL RATING HIGH
 Substitute product refer to product in other industries. There are
very high competition in bikes industries, one bike is substituted
by others in terms of engine model, price, looks, mileage etc. the
substitute of Bajaj pulsar bike is very high. There are other brand
bike selling the same model bike some with high price and some
with low price.
 Substitute in same model engine:- bikes like hero hunk,
hero CBZ extreme,TVs apache RTR160 are same model category
which affect most the sell of Bajaj pulsar 150.
 Substitute by price:- Bajaj pulsar 150 price is around Rs
70,000 in India and most of the bike price in same
model is little more less. So substitute by price is low.
 High category bikes:- substituting with high category
bike is very high because people prefer more to more
stylish, more pick up bike. Hero karizma, Honda cvr
250,Yamaha R15 comes under this category bikes.
Factors Bajaj Pulsar Advantages Rivalry From Existing

No. of Competitors High High
Size of Playoff Depends on Volume Low
Switching Costs Medium as Customers can
Switch to other product

Origin Of Competitors Divers High
OVERALL RATING MEDIUM
 Number and Diversity of Competitor - This describes
the competition between the existing firms in an industry. the
current Business Policy & Competitive Strategy scenario, the bikes
market in India is very competitive with players like Hero, Bajaj,
Yamaha,Tvs etc. which was pretty much dominated by Hero and
Bajaj and Bajaj Pulsar 150 is very high competitive because almost
all the bike manufacturer manufacture this model bike
 Brand Image:- most of the people now days prefer high brand
bike. Hero company has high brand value than Bajaj so influence
is very high
 Threat of new entry is very high because there is high demand of
bikes and low capital require as compare to four wheeler
 The Bargaining Power of buyer is not high because the price of the
bike Bajaj pulsar is reasonable accounting to there feature.
 The bargaining power of supplier is low because Bajaj brand
value is very high and supplier is very happy with the price they
get from company
 The substitute effect is very high because hero motor cop is
dominating and Tvs andYamaha is good competitor
 Rivarly among competitor influence is very high and most of the
people is now brand conscious
