To whom it may concern:
I am pleased to write a letter of reference for Dara Brown. Not only have I worked with Ms. Brown at
the Corryville Family Resource Center (CFRC), I have known her personally for over 15 years as a friend.
Professionally I have known her to always be a professional who is extremely articulate, motivated,
organized and disciplined. During her employment at the CFRC she was a wonderful asset to our
department working as an Employment Coordinator and Youth Job Skills Trainer where she was
responsible for teaching job skills to students in our after school program because she has a wonderful
ability to connect with each student and address each student’s unique talents and specific needs. She
not only had a wonderful rapport with the students but would redesign the class to serve the needs of
the students. As a colleague she was always 100% reliable, always on good terms with the staff and
always came up with new solutions based on teamwork and feedback in meetings. She is a hard worker
and critical thinker who has good decision making processes and is able to draw from the experiences
and expertise of those around her when confronted with issues that she is unfamiliar with.
As a friend she is the kind of person who is trustworthy, reliable and conscientious. She sets high
expectations for herself and of those close to her, while at the same time is willing to accept people as
they are with unconditional positive regard. In any situation she has shown herself to be considerate
and honest. She is an intelligent individual, who is willing to take the lead in situations when required.
Her good judgment has been important on several situations and she has provided the most loyal
support at difficult times in my life. In short, I would recommend Dara as a trustworthy person who can
be relied upon and will prove to be a valued colleague and friend to those fortunate to spend time with
her. If hired, there is no doubt that your school will feel especially pleased to have her on your team.
Please feel free to contact me regarding this recommendation if required.
Sincerely,
Alanna T. Clark
