INSPIRATION
I am always inspired by people, observing them gives me inspiration
and enjoyment. Travelling also gives me a new perspective of looking
at things.

INTEREST
I love reading, what I can get from reading a book is endless.
I love travelling, it makes me feel modest and see what a tiny place I
occupy in the world.
I love crafting, every completion of a project makes me feel satisfy.
ACHIEVEMENT
- Being the chairman of Kuen Cheng Chinese Orchestra in 2014
- Able to play guitar fluently

PROJECT 1 : Design Elements & Principles
1A : Sketching
In this project, we are required to
produce 10 artwork, 5 for nature
environment and 5 for built environment
based on our site trip to KLCC park. Each
artwork should show different design
elements that are lines, shapes, texture
or pattern, form and hue, and an abstract
art, then further completed with
explanations to show the design
elements and our understanding level
towards the design elements.

PROJECT 1 : Design Elements & Principles
1B : Daily Items Artwork
The 10 artworks
This project aims to enable
students to understand more
about design principles. We are
required to create 9 artworks
using the given daily item, that is
cotton wool for my group. The
base that we had chosen is
rubber sheet as it can contrast
with cotton wool. Two A2 size
presentation board is produced
to show our understanding
towards the material, concept
and design principles.

PROJECT 1 : Design Elements & Principles
1B : Daily Items Artwork
Presentation Boards
After our exploration, we found out that fibrous is the main characteristic of cotton
wool, so we decided the theme to be picking fibre to show it. The design
principles that we had chosen are movement, unity, hierarchy, rhythm, radial,
balance symmetry, centralised, random and dominance. The 10th artwork is the
big picture of the nine artwork combined together.

PROJECT 2 : Transforming 2D to 3D
2A : Hanging Mobile Exploration
For this project, each group
is given a specific keyword
and architect, then explore
and make a hanging model
for it. The keyword for us is
PROTRUDE and the
architect is STEVEN HOLL.
The final work - consisting a final hanging model, 2 A2
presentation boards, and all of our tutorial work that is done
in the tutorial session.
Final Model
Through explorations with different materials and
form, we decided to use geometric shape to portray
our word, protrude. Using different sizes of cubes
and cuboids, we started from the middle and used
different materials to resemble the architect’s style.

Presentation Boards
Tutorial Progress
The tutorial progress
consists of 2D drawings
and 3D models that are
what makes us come up
with the final model.
The design process is
about how to convey
the keyword ‘protrude’
effectively in our final
model through basic
shapes, applying the
design principles and
elements that we learnt
earlier.
The presentation boards
explains about our architect,
the keyword, design process,
elements and principles of our
hanging model in detail.

PROJECT 2 : Transforming 2D to 3D
2B : Lego Hanging Mobile
The final project is to create a 3D
hanging mobile for our lego character
implementing the chosen keyword
and suitable design approach. The
character that I had chosen is Woody
from Toy Story. After researching
towards Woody, I decided to go with
the concept ‘On An Adventure’ as he
is always on an adventure to save his
friends and get back to his owner.
The presentation boards, hanging mobile and
pedestal showing the tutorial works and myself.
Perspective of the hanging mobile
The hanging mobile is constructed by five
planes arranging in varied height to show
each plane clearly. Each plane resemble
different adventure that Woody is going
through. It was inspired by the actions that
was performed by Woody in the film.

Understand your Lego
Miniature Toy Character
Research on Woody to
understand him more in
terms of physical
characteristic, personality
and history.
DPJ 2:
Key Words and Ideas Generating
Using keywords that can be
obtained from Woody to create an
abstract art for each chosen
keyword.
Chosen keywords:
Loyal, Passionate, Brave
DPJ 3:
What Makes a Good Hanging
Mobile & Initial Ideas
Research on what makes a
good hanging mobile and ideas
to further proceed on our final
project Lego Hanging Mobile.
All sketches and doodles are
documented accordingly.
