Get more reviews
1. Ask for them. Seems simple enough, but not enough businesses
actively ask for customers for an online review of their
business.
2. Post Review Sites logo decals near or on the entrance to your
business which can remind them to leave a review in these
places.
3. Create a handout flyer to encourage reviews. Even include 1-2
actual customer reviews, then leave a reminder that customers
can review your business on Google, Facebook, etc. List more
than one service (Yelp, Foursquare, Facebook etc.)
4. Make a small poster of several reviews that customer have left
and again, use multiple services.
Reputation management
1. Never air your dirty laundry or make excuses
2. Always take problems offline
3. If resolved to customers satisfaction, ask them to
update review
4. Find out which review sites matter in your area
5. Don’t pay to play
6. Encourage reviews, but not to a specific service
7. Be responsive so you head-off bad reviews.
8. Set up a Google Alert to monitor what is said about
you.
