Spectral comparison :
The bearing fault was diagnosed by the peaks visible under acceleration (image 1). These peaks are separated by 4.84
orders, which corresponds to the frequency of the outer track defect.
Image 2 is a representation before/after replacement, showing that the defect has disappeared after
intervention.

Bearing analysis :
Removal of material from rolling elements
• Bearing #1: critical degradation
• Bearing #2: moderate
Inner and outer raceway attacked
• Bearing #1: wear on raceways and "flutting" (current flow)
• Bearing #2: mechanical degradation of outter race
• Bearings #1 & #2: misalignment of races wear
The degradation of the bearing raceways is probably due to mechanical wear,
which has been accelerated by the forces experienced by the bearings due to
the initial unbalance.
