Ventes de presse 2016.
5 points clés de l’évolution du marché.
Les données générales des ventes des 2 messageries
de presse publiées par le CSMP permettent d’avoir
une vue d’ensemble du marché et de son évolution,
indépendamment des phénomènes de transferts de
titres d’une messagerie à l’autre.
Quelques chiffres-clés en synthèse.

1 - CA total messageries ≈ 1 703 M€,
dont ≈ 1 209 M€ en presse magazine (71% du total).
L’année 2016 enregistre un retour à la pente de marché des années
précédentes (-7% en valeur), après une année de quasi stabilité des
ventes, due en grande partie à l’effet des attentats de Charlie Hebdo,
Hyper Kasher et Montrouge.

2 - En 5 ans : CA PQN : -22%, CA presse magazine : -24%.
La presse quotidienne confirme la bonne tenue de ses ventes par
rapport à la presse magazine, en particulier en CA.

3 – Presse magazine : Baisse continue de la production
et allongement de la périodicité moyenne.
Le nombre de parutions annuelles de presse magazine
diminue sensiblement depuis 2011.
Il a baissé de 20% en 5 ans
alors que le nombre de titres a baissé quant à lui de 13%.
La périodicité moyenne tend à s’allonger :
6,3 parutions/titre/an en 2006 (-10 ans)
5,6 en 2011 (- 5 ans),
5,2 en 2016.

3 (suite) – Les ventes des périodicités courtes évoluent moins
bien que celles des périodicités longues
Les CA des périodicités hebdos/bimensuels/mensuels a
sensiblement plus diminué que celui des périodicités
bimestriels/trimestriels/hors-séries
Le phénomène n’est certainement pas sans conséquence sur la
fréquentation des magasins
et la rotation des produits mis en vente.

4 - Prix moyens d’un exemplaire vendu :
2,70 € en 2016, soit +6 cts en un an, +35 cts en 5 ans

Depuis 7 ans, le taux d’invendus de la presse magazine augmente
de presque 1 point par an. Il dépassera les 50% en 2017.
