prosperous. In 80s the buildings continue
growing while the unemployment
decreases. In this decade it also invest in
tecnologie advantages.
• The International Singapore was open and
increases the turism and the market
economy.
• In the XXI century Singapore experience a
crisis, but it recover from it.
• Nowadays Singapore is one of the most
rich cities in the world.

• Pollution
– Air pollution: It emit tons of carbon dioxide, in
1996, was the first in the ranking of the world.
– Reduceing the pig´s farms.
– Water pollution: Industrial facilities such as oil
polluted the water.
– Affected water is taken for treatment at specialised centres.
– They have clean the water in the Singapore River which was
polluted.
• Urbanisation
– Deforestation: Singapore has lost approximately
90% of its natural forests.
– Create many green spaces.
