St. Mary's Grad student defies the odds.. Brain Injury -Children's bookWendy Muhlhauser
Wendy Muhlhauser, a graduate student at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, defied the odds after suffering a traumatic brain injury in 1992 from a car accident. Through perseverance and recovery, she operated an education business for 18 years before dissolving it to focus on writing and publishing her first children's book. As part of her graduate program, she worked with an advisor to publish the book and create a marketing plan. After extensive work with student interns, the book was published in 2014. Saint Mary's faculty supported Muhlhauser throughout the process, helping her achieve her dream of becoming an author.
- The author founded an organization called Jelly Beans Creative Learning that provided enrichment programming, teacher training, and in-school projects using drama and play to promote child development for 18 years.
- Due to an increased focus on standardized testing, schools had difficulty justifying spending on her programs. This prompted her to create children's books that could nurture child development while also addressing social justice and environmental themes.
- Her first book, "Jelly Beans the Cheetah and Hope", uses fiction to teach about an African tribe, the need for clean water worldwide, cheetah conservation, and cultivating empathy, kindness and compassion. She hopes the books and new organization can continue nurturing youth development and values.

1) Découvrez comment l'inaction, c'est-à-dire le fait de ne pas agir ou d'agir alors qu'on le devrait ou qu'on est censé le faire, est un obstacle à une vie épanouie ;
> Comment l'inaction affecte-t-elle l'avenir du jeune ? Que devraient plutôt faire les jeunes pour se racheter et récupérer ce qui leur appartient ? A découvrir dans le document ;
