????? ARE  VALUES   DIFFERENT IN  DIFFERENT   FIELDS ? Why there is general indifference towards VALUES?
ARE  THESE  VALUES  ETERNAL ? OR,   ARE  THEY SUBJECT  TO  CHANGE, WITH  CHANGING  TIMES  ? . . . . as in the case of fashions ? ARE  THESE  VALUES   UNIVERSAL  ? [ UNIFORMLY  APPLICABLE  TO  ALL ~ IRRESPECTIVE  OF RELIGION, CASTE, CREED, AGE, GENDER, AND SO ON  ?   ]
INCREASINGLY  COMPLEX  MODERN  SOCIETY IS  FACING  MORE  PROBLEMS THAN  ITS  DEMONSTRATED  CAPACITY TO  SOLVE KNOWLEDGE  IS  PROLIFERATING BUT WISDOM  SEEMS  TO  BE  LANGUISHING GUIDED  MISSILES  BUT  MIS-GUIDED  HUMANITY WE  HAVE  THE  SPIRITUAL,  INTELLECTUAL & ECONOMIC  RESOURCES BUT  SEEM  TO  BE LACKING  THE  WILL  AND  THE  WISDOM   TO  TACKLE  THE  PROBLEMS AS TEACHERS, IS THERE ANYTHING THAT WE CAN DO ?
THE INEQUALITY, THE INEFFICIENCY, THE INDIFFERENCE, THE INEFFECTIVENESS . . . THE GROWING POVERTY, THE EXPLODING CORRUPTION, CHEATING, CRIME, VIOLENCE, VULGARITY, EVER-INCREASING POLLUTION, ~ NOT JUST IN ENVIRONMENT, BUT IN THOUGHT, WORD AND ACTION, DECREASING STANDARDS, DECLINING VALUES, WEAKNENING FAMILY TIES, GET-QUICK-RICH BY ANY MEANS ATTITUDE . . .  HAS LACK OF CONCERN FOR VALUES IN EDUCATION ANYTHING TO DO WITH THESE STATE OF AFFAIRS ?
A TEACHER, MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE,  NEEDS PROFICIENCY, COMMITMENT & DEDICATION,  AS HE HAS THE ABILITY, OPPORTUNITY & THE INSPIRATION TO VISUALISE  AN IDEAL SOCIETY AND CONTRIBUTE HIS MIGHT TO ACHIEVE THE SAME BY MOTIVATING THE GENERATIONS OF  STUDENTS AND YOUTH BY PREPARING THEM FOR A BETTER FUTURE WERE OUR UNIONS, EVER CONCERNED  SERIOUSLY ABOUT THESE ASPECTS ?
EDUCATION  IS A CRUCIAL TOOL TO EMPOWER PEOPLE ONLY A WORTHWHILE EDUCATION CAN DO THIS ARE WE ABLE TO IMPART QUALITY EDUCATION TO ALL WITHOUT ANY DISTINCTION ? “  EDUCATION MUST HELP EVERY CITIZEN TO REALISE HIS POTENTIAL”

What messages  are our students  receiving  from the world around them?  What messages  are we sending  in our classrooms?
VARIETY VALUES VICES VULGARITY VIOLENCE VULNERABILITY VACUUM
  ~ WARM, SHINING & UPLIFTING   ~ DISCRIMINATING, EXPLOITING   &  DEGRADING VALUES : POSITIVE ~ LEAD US TOWARDS FREEDOM,  PEACE, PROGRESS,  JOY, EQUALITY,  NEGATIVE ~ LEAD US TOWARDS BONDAGE,  CONFLICT, SORROW, FRUSTATION, VICES, VACUUM, etc.
IN GOD’S CREATION, IT IS BELIEVED THAT THERE ARE 84 LAKHS OF SPECIES ~ WITH  HUMAN LIFE   TOPPING THE LIST. THE HUMAN BEING  IS BLESSED WITH  A MIND –  THE THINKING FACULTY, & “ VIVEKA” – THE FACULTY OF DISCRIMINATION.
“  EVERYBODY TODAY SEEMS TO BE  IN SUCH A TERRIBLE RUSH,  ANXIOUS FOR GREATER DEVELOPMENTS  AND GREATER RICHES AND SO ON,  ~ PARENTS HAVE VERY LITTLE TIME FOR EACH OTHER;   PARENTS HAVE NOT MUCH TIME  FOR THEIR CHILDREN; - AND IN THE HOME BEGINS  THE DISRUPTION OF PEACE OF THE WORLD” MOTHER THERESA
THE MAIN PURPOSE OF LIFE IS TO  LIVE RIGHTLY, THINK RIGHTLY AND ACT RIGHTLY MAHATMA GANDHI
WHAT  IS  RIGHT ? WHAT  IS  WRONG ?
A LONG WAY TO GO TO PRACTICE THE VALUES WE ALL KNOW & ARE HAPPY AND EAGER TO PREACH THE POINT IS. . . HOW SINCERELY  WE FOLLOW THE VALUES WE KNOW
