This document is an edited booklet from the Australian Islamic Library about the Sunnah of Love based on an article by Sheikh Yahya Ibrahim. It discusses examples from the life of the Prophet Muhammad and his companions of their expressions of love within marriage, including how 'Ali came home to find his wife Fatimah brushing her teeth and praised her in poetry. It questions why expressions of love are sometimes lacking within modern Muslim communities despite the examples set in the Sunnah, and argues that the Sunnah of Love should be properly understood and applied to all aspects of life, including mundane domestic matters.
The document summarizes parts of a hadith about the prophet Muhammad advising Jabir on marriage. It discusses:
1) Muhammad encouraging Jabir to marry a young wife so they could be playful and make each other laugh, implying the importance of intimacy and enjoyment in marriage.
2) When Jabir explains marrying an older woman to care for his orphaned nieces, Muhammad approves of Jabir's choice to prioritize their care.
3) Muhammad later telling Jabir to slow down entering the city so his wife can prepare herself, implying the importance of spouses finding each other physically attractive.
This document provides an overview of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence (usul al-fiqh) in 19 chapters. It discusses the primary sources of Islamic law such as the Quran, hadith, consensus (ijma), analogy (qiyas), and other secondary sources. Each chapter examines in detail the rules and methodology for deriving legal rulings from these sources, including principles of interpretation. The author aims to convey not just the content but also the spirit of the original Arabic sources on usul al-fiqh. The work is intended as a textbook for students seeking an intermediate to advanced understanding of this subject.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive function. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against developing mental illness and improve symptoms for those who already suffer from conditions like anxiety and depression.

Purity Of Hearts Dr. Bilal Philips || Australian Islamic Library || www.austr...Muhammad Nabeel Musharraf
This document discusses ways to soften and purify the heart in Islam. It begins by explaining the significance of the heart in Islam, as the Prophet Muhammad said the heart is the most important part of the body. It notes that deeds will be judged based on intentions, which reside in the heart. The document then provides four ways to achieve a soft heart: making du'a, remembering death, reading the Quran, and doing good deeds. It emphasizes developing a gentle, merciful heart like the Prophet Muhammad, and being aware of one's intentions in all actions.

This document is a book about the Islamic prayer (salaat) compiled by Nathif Jama Adam. It provides an introduction to salaat, discussing its importance in Islam as an obligatory act of worship. The document outlines some of the virtues of performing prayer with humility and submission. It also discusses wudu (ablution) which is the purification procedure required before prayer. The book aims to comprehensively cover the important aspects of prayer.
The document discusses the benefits of meditation for reducing stress and anxiety. Regular meditation practice can help calm the mind and body by lowering heart rate and blood pressure. Making meditation a part of a daily routine, even if just 10-15 minutes per day, can have mental and physical health benefits over time by helping people feel more relaxed and better able to handle life's stresses.
The document discusses the relationship between hadith scholarship (the study of hadith) and fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). It states that while it is necessary for a faqih (scholar of fiqh) to be a muhaddith (hadith scholar), it is not necessary for a muhaddith to be a faqih, as a muhaddith is inherently knowledgeable about fiqh. It notes that the companions of the Prophet studied fiqh by learning hadith directly from him. It argues that correctly understanding fiqh requires authenticating and understanding hadith, and that a muhaddith would naturally gain fiqh knowledge. The document criticizes modern fuqaha who study scholar's opinions rather

This document discusses concepts of God in Hinduism according to Hindu scriptures such as the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Bhagavad Gita, and others. It notes that while common Hindus believe in many gods, the scriptures point to a singular Supreme God without form or attributes. Verses from scriptures like the Upanishads, Yajurveda and Rigveda state there is only one God without a second, without parents or lord, and without form or likeness. The document analyzes concepts of God, including some common Hindu misconceptions. It aims to clarify the true monotheistic concept of God according to Hinduism's earliest scriptures.
1. The document discusses the importance that early Muslims placed on adhering to the Sunnah (traditions and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad) as the second source of Islamic jurisprudence after the Quran.
2. It provides several Quranic verses and hadiths that command Muslims to obey Allah and his Messenger and establish the Prophet's sayings and traditions as equally authoritative as the Quran.
3. It argues that defying or preferring one's own opinions over the Sunnah is forbidden, and obedience to the Prophet is equivalent to obedience to Allah. Following the Sunnah is necessary for guidance, salvation, and strong communities.
This document provides an overview of the different types of hadith reports based on their transmission paths and narrators. It discusses reports categorized as sound, fair, rejected, defective, or anomalous based on factors such as the trustworthiness and accuracy of narrators, continuity of transmission chains, and presence of contradictions. Rejected reports are due to lacunas or aspersions against narrators, such as lying, mistakes, forgetfulness, or contradicting other reports. The document aims to summarize the important classifications and terminology used in the study and evaluation of hadith transmission.

Bee Like The Bee ( 2nd Edition) || Muhammad Nabeel Musharraf || Australian Islamic Library
The document contains a summary of letters sent by the Prophet Muhammad to various rulers and governors in the late 6th and early 7th century CE, calling them to accept Islam. It provides the full text of some of these letters, such as one sent to Negus, the Christian king of Abyssinia, who accepted Muhammad's message and provided protection to some early Muslim migrants. Another letter was sent to the vicegerent of Egypt, who was open to Muhammad's message but did not fully accept Islam. A third letter summarized was sent to the Emperor of Persia, Chosroes, inviting him to accept the religion of Islam.
The document repeatedly lists the URL www.deenekhalis.com and states it is for dawah (Islamic proselytizing) purposes only. It provides this statement over 40 times without any other context or information.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise boosts blood flow and levels of neurotransmitters and endorphins which elevate and stabilize mood.
A roadmap for studying fiqh of the four sunni schools || Australian Islamic L...Muhammad Nabeel Musharraf
This document provides a roadmap for studying fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) according to the four major Sunni madhhabs (schools of thought). It outlines basic principles for studying fiqh, including starting with one school of thought and studying under qualified teachers. It then details the major texts, scholars, and curriculum used to teach each of the Hanafi, Shafi'i, Hanbali, and Maliki madhhabs. Key introductory, intermediate, and advanced level texts are identified for each madhab, along with contemporary works and biographical references. The goal is to guide students through a gradual learning approach focused on understanding rulings and their evidence from primary sources according to a single, coherent
A Geographical History of the Quran
Written by Dr. Syed Muzzafar ud Din Nadvi (based on his teacher Syed Suleiman Nadvi's book - Tareekh Ardh Al Quran)
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. It states that regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive functioning. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help alleviate symptoms of mental illness.
Reinvent yourself - Self help book by Yameen ud Din Ahmed || Australian Islam...Muhammad Nabeel Musharraf
The document discusses reinventing oneself by living a vision-oriented and purpose-driven life. It begins by explaining that most people live by default according to social and personal forces rather than consciously choosing their own path. It encourages the reader to understand themselves by clarifying their vision and purpose for life. Developing a clear vision provides benefits like increased confidence, energy, and sense of direction to make fulfilling decisions.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for both physical and mental health. Regular exercise can improve cardiovascular health, reduce stress and anxiety, boost mood, and enhance cognitive function. Staying physically active for at least 30 minutes each day is recommended for significant health benefits.
Four key concepts from the Quran - Syed Abul Aala Maududi (New design) || Aus...Muhammad Nabeel Musharraf
This document discusses four key Quranic terms - Ilah, Rabb, Deen, and Ibadah. It explains that over time, misunderstandings have arisen around the meanings of these terms due to linguistic drift and declining interest in classical Arabic. As a result, people may think they understand the Quran's message but in practice commit shirk without realizing it by treating others as gods or ascribing divine attributes incorrectly. The document aims to clarify the original and precise meanings of these terms as used in the Quran.
The document discusses the history and development of artificial intelligence over the past 70 years. It outlines some of the key milestones in AI research from the early work in the 1950s to modern advances in machine learning using neural networks. While progress has been made, fully general human-level artificial intelligence remains an ongoing challenge being worked on by researchers.
Islamic Education - Inside Vs. Outside Perspective (download ppt to read note...Muhammad Nabeel Musharraf
This document discusses perspectives on Islamic education from inside and outside views. It notes there are differing opinions on what constitutes Islamic education, from a traditional curriculum focused on core Islamic sciences versus a more contemporary issues-based approach. Traditional madrasas focused on subjects like Arabic, fiqh, hadith and tafseer. Reforms have pushed for adding more subjects while maintaining the core. The study also examines perspectives from outside the Islamic world, noting orientalist roots of Western Islamic studies and differences between education in Muslim-majority vs minority countries. It calls for balance between religious and worldly sciences in educational systems.
This document summarizes the evolution of Islamic studies as a discipline in both Muslim-majority and Western contexts. It discusses how Islamic studies was traditionally focused on transmitted religious texts and principles in Muslim lands, while taking a more external perspective in the West. Over time, both approaches have evolved, with Western universities incorporating more social science perspectives and Muslim universities introducing more modern subjects, though imbalances remain. The document also traces the historical development of Islamic education institutions from early informal settings to formalized schools and universities under successive Islamic empires.

Sunnah of Love (L’amour Sounnah) 8
L’amour.

Sunnah of Love (L’amour Sounnah) 10

Sunnah of Love (L’amour Sounnah) 11
