This document outlines an agenda for a capacity building workshop on education, extra-curricular activities, and opportunities. The plan includes lectures, videos, and exercises. For education, participants discuss definitions and types. Extra-curricular activities are defined as outside of classwork and include sports, community service, arts, and hobbies. A game demonstrates teambuilding. Opportunities involve exploiting situations to do what you want, like a social enterprise project. The workshop aims to help participants develop leadership skills through educational and hands-on activities.

- The word educate comes from the latin word “Educere”.
- “Educere” means lead out or bring out.
- It entails bringing out desirable changes into the behaviour of human beings
17. DEFINITION OF EXTRACURRICULAR
ACTIVITIES
The word “extracurricular” can be broken down into its roots
for a literal explanation: “extra” means “outside” and
“curricular” refers to all of the work you do in the classroom.
So extracurricular activities are just activities that you do
outside of class.
18. TYPES OF EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Sports, which includes playing on a school sport team, or a club
team outside of your school.
Community Service, which includes any sort of volunteer work,
either in your community, on a national scale, or abroad.
Employment, including any jobs or internships.
Arts, which includes visual arts, performing arts, comedy, culinary
arts – this list is almost endless.
Hobbies, such as blogging, browsing, and more.
Academic activities, essay competition, research, or writing.
19. TIPS!
Keep in mind that extracurricular activities are those that somehow developed
talents that you will use later in life, developed your leadership skills, allowed you
to show involvement with your community, and allowed you to make an
impact.
Going to the movies every weekend with your friends doesn’t count. But starting a
film club at school for fellow film aficionados definitely does count!
20. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES THAT

team restarts.
