Barcelona, 17th February 2010   Orange wins global award for voice innovation at Mobile World Congress 2010 15th Global Mobile Awards annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.  ‘Best mobile technology breakthrough ’ for its innovation in high-definition (HD) mobile voice.  The 2010 Awards judges said ,  “Voice quality has been neglected for too long in mobile so plaudits to Orange for being the first mobile operator to commit itself to High-Definition (HD) Voice. This promises to revolutionize the customer experience .”Orange launched the world's first HD mobile voice service in Moldova in September 2009. The launch marked the first significant evolution in mobile voice quality since the 1990’s. Based on the new AMR-WB codec, the quality of sound with HD voice is likened to having the other party in the same room, providing clearer conversations and a feeling of proximity. In 2010, Orange will extend its HD voice offering across Europe with France, Spain, and Luxembourg rolling-out the service. Orange HD Voice will begin trials in the UK in Spring 2010. Orange plans to rapidly extend the range of HD voice-compatible mobile handsets across Europe to support the roll-out of the service.

People can be brands nowadays too… Strong brands will even be forgiven when they make occasional mistakes. Think about Zinedine Zidane ’s infamous head butt at the 2006 World Cup. Despite the negative effect it had on the French football team, Zidane was forgiven for his actions, and his brand remained relatively undamaged. Brands cannot consistently let people down though Can you think of an experience you’ ve had of a brand where you’ ve been let down?
