4. REFLEXIVE VERBS
Reflexive verbs are verbs where the action reflects back on the
subject. They have a se in front of the infinitive
To conjugate: The reflexive pronoun agrees with the
subject, then conjugate the verb
Se coucher- to go to sleep
Je me couche
Nous nous couchons
Tu te couches
Vous vous couchez
Il se couche
Ils se couchent
Elle se couche
Elles se couchent
Note that the verb coucher is a regular er verb
I am going to sleep: Je me couche.
I want to go to sleep: Je veux me coucher. (Coucher is infinitive
since veux is conjugated, but reflexive pronoun agrees w/
subject)

To give the minutes:
Il est trois heures dix
To say :15- et quart To say :30- et demie
To say that it’s .. Minutes til use moins w/ the
next hour. (4:40- Il est cinq heures moins vingt)
