This document summarizes the WORK Microwave Handheld Satcom Test Source signal generator. It can generate signals from 50-180 MHz and 950-2150 MHz with precision to serve as a reference for measuring complex analog systems. It has two independent synthesizers, allowing it to generate two signals simultaneously for measuring intermodulation of high-frequency converters. Its adjustable output power level from -45 to -5 dBm in 0.5 dB steps enables measuring the 1 dB compression point and conversion gain of converters. The portable generator can operate on its internal battery or via USB, making it a versatile testing device.
This product report summarizes high-frequency filters manufactured by MFC. It discusses how MFC produces highly specialized filters for applications such as WiMAX to prevent interference. It also explains how high-pass and low-pass filters can be combined to replace separate frequency filters. The report provides details on the benefits of HF filters, describing how they eliminate unwanted signals on certain frequencies to prevent interference and equipment malfunctions.
The document summarizes the test results of the Icecrypt S3700CHD triple tuner PVR receiver. It has an elegant front panel with a VFD display and smartcard readers. The back panel features three tuner inputs, HDMI, network interfaces, audio/video outputs, and an RS232 port. It has a powerful CPU and memory. It performed well in tests, with quick channel switching, stable multimedia features, and the ability to record two channels while watching a third. The software is easy to use with features like favorites lists, EPG integration, and an on-screen manual. It also has integrated multimedia apps and plays various video and audio formats smoothly.
1. The document describes how to set up a self-made IPTV system using inexpensive hardware like a Raspberry Pi.
2. A Raspberry Pi board running XBMC software can be used as an IPTV receiver and connected to a TV to receive streaming video channels.
3. TSReader Pro software on a PC is used to receive TV signals, demux channels, and stream them over the network to be displayed on the Raspberry Pi IPTV receiver.
The document discusses proposed extensions to the DVB-S2 satellite broadcasting standard to improve efficiency and accommodate higher data rates. The extensions include reducing transponder roll-off factors and side lobes to allow transponders to be placed closer together, using wider bandwidth transponders, adding a new 64 APSK modulation, and providing more modulation and coding options. These techniques could increase data rates by 20% for direct broadcasting and up to 64% for professional services. The extensions aim to enable services like ultra-high definition TV that require greater bandwidth capabilities.
ELNET is a digital TV wholesaler and retailer located in Iceland. It offers a wide range of digital TV products from small DVB meters to large DVB transmitters at its 600 square meter premises. ELNET believes terrestrial and satellite DVB reception will continue to be important along with emerging fiber optic TV distribution. ELNET supplies over half of Iceland's digital TV transmitters and sells 200-300 satellite dishes annually in sizes from 85cm to 3m.
The document summarizes testing of the Deviser S7000 multi-norm digital TV signal analyzer. Key points:
- Measurement values from the S7000 closely matched five reference analyzers, confirming its precision.
- Its integrated real-time spectrum and waterfall diagrams make antenna alignment extremely easy.
- These display tools allow technicians to quickly optimize antenna position for strongest satellite signals.
- The S7000 was used to successfully troubleshoot interference in a home's CATV distribution system.
