Influence of Modeling Masonry Infill on Seismic Performance of Multi-Storeyed...ijsrd.com
Masonry infilled RC frames are the most common type of structures used for multi-storeyed constructions in the developing countries, even in those which are located in seismically active regions also. Masonry infill walls are mainly used to increase the stiffness and strength of R C framed buildings. R C framed building with open first storey is known as soft storey, which performs poorly during earthquakes. A similar soft storey effect can also appear top storey level if it is used as service storey. The soft storey located in the upper part of the multistorey building does not significantly affect. To observe the effect of masonry infill panel, it is modeled as an equivalent double diagonal strut. In this study 7 models are taken were analyzed with two different techniques of modelling of masonry infill wall with L type of shear wall when subjected to earthquake loading. The results of masonry infill show more stiffness than the strut modeling technique. It is observed that, providing infill wall and shear wall improves earthquake resistant behavior of the structure and also the effect of water pressure, an attempt is made to develop relationship between strength and stiffness ratios for linear trend line.

Effect of different infill material on the seismic behavior of high rise buil...eSAT Journals
Abstract Many urban multistory buildings in India today have open first storey as an unavoidable feature. This is primarily being adopted to accommodate parking or reception lobbies in the first stories. Also for offices or for any other purpose such as communication hall etc. The construction of reinforced concrete structures with infill wall is a common method of providing shelter to the ever increasing population, where there is seismic activity. In the present work, the effect of different infill materials on the seismic behavior of high rise building with soft stories is studied. For that, G+11 RCC model is selected. Different infill materials like siporex and Laminated glass are used. Different cases considering different location of soft stories are considered for the analysis. To study the effect of different infill material on high rise structure, linear dynamic analysis (Response spectrum analysis) in software ETABs is carried out. Seismic parameters like time period, base shear, storey displacement and storey drift are checked out Keywords: soft storey, infill material, response spectrum method, ETABs

9. This is the story of my niece Léa, and how she lit
up our lives after the death of her grandmother.
This book is for her little brother Yann, to pass on
the flame of Léa’s wisdom and joy.

10. One day, Grandma Bénédicte went away, and our world
was plunged in darkness. Her absence was everywhere.
There was no more light, and there was no more colour.
todas partes. No había luz ni color.
11.
12. But there was a child of the Spring in our midst, and she
was here to bring the colours of the rainbow back into
our lives. Her name is Léa, and she had a few things to
teach us.
13.
14. Kiss and hug those you love. You don’t really need
a reason.
aimes. Tu n’as pas vraiment besoin de raison.
No necesitas motivo.
15.
16. Have a really good stretch in the morning, and then
sing, dance and love every moment.
momento.
17.
18. Appreciate small things. Say ‘Wow!”, and never lose
your sense of wonder.
Apprécie les petites choses. Dis “ouah!”, et ne
perds jamais ton sens de l ’enchantement.
Disfruta de los pequeños detalles. Di “¡Guauu!”, y
nunca pierdas tu capacidad de asombro.
19.
20. Don’t focus on the things that don’t make you feel good.
sentir mal.
No te concentres en cosas que no te hacen sentir
bien.
21.
22. Be proud of your achievements.
Sois fier de ce que tu accomplis.
Cuando logres algo felicítate a ti
mismo.
23.
24. Stop always wanting things.
Arrête de toujours vouloir plus de choses.
Deja de desear siempre cosas.
28. Don’t hold grudges. If you have to forgive or be
forgiven, do it today. (Not tomorrow. Today.)
Ne sois pas rancunier. Si tu dois pardonner
ou te faire pardonner, fais-le aujourd’hui. (Pas
demain. Aujourd’hui.)
No guardes rencores. Si tienes que perdonar o pedir
perdón, hazlo hoy mismo. (No mañana. Hoy.)
29.
30. Always believe in tomorrow.
Crois toujours en demain.
Cree siempre en el mañana.
31.
32. Learn to dare, and never stop learning.
Apprends à oser, et n’arrête jamais
d’apprendre.
Aprende a atreverte, y nunca dejes de
aprender.
33.
34. Conquer your fears, and don’t be afraid of death, or of
life.
35.
36. Give love and happiness all around you.
(You can do it!)
toi. (Tu peux le faire!)
Da amor y felicidad a todos a tu alrededor (¡tú
puedes!)
37.
38. Even when we go away, we’re forever there in the
hearts and the minds of those we love.
qu’on aime.
39.
40. Even when we go away, we pass on what we know
to those we love (even those still in their Mommy’s
tummy).
41.
42. And that’s how Léa gave us back the colours of the
rainbow, by teaching us all these tiny, and yet huge
lessons about life.
43.
44. And one day, Léa went away, and a new star lit up in
the sky (it’s right next to Grandma Bénédicte’s star - so
there’s a corner of the night that’s full of light).
45.
46. And the rest of us were forever changed.
Et nous, on était changés pour toujours.
Y nuestras vidas cambiaron para siempre.

52. This is the story of Léa, a little French-American-Mexican
girl who lived a happy life in Trinidad & Tobago. The only
daughter, grand-daughter and niece in a family of adults, Léa
transformed all the grown-ups she ever met, from the day of
her birth to the day, aged 2 years and four months, when she
joined her grand-mother who had died six months earlier.
This book tells of the teachings of a little angel to her parents,
on the joy of living and the meaning of death. And it reminds
us how each and every child is at the same time the most
beautiful gift, the greatest treasure and the wisest of teachers.
