• To express a wish or make a suggestion
Je voudrais acheter ma propre maison après je
quitte l’université.
• To make a polite request
Pourriez-vous me dire où est l’église?
• To refer to an action which depends on
another event
Si j’étais riche, je voyagerais la monde.

3. Forming the conditional tense
Take the future stem of the verb (infinitive or
irregular stem) and add the imperfect endings.
Eg: Passer = to spend
Je passerais
Tu passerais
Il/Elle/On passerait
Nous passerions
Vous passeriez
Ils/Elles passeraient
