The turquoise pool on a white
patio, fringed by banana trees,
belies this dazzling guest house’s
industrial origins: Annick Lestrohan
and her husband created this four-
room mini-hotel out of an old printing
works. Next door, their interior design
boutique, Honoré, offers the same cosy,
laid-back aesthetic to take home. /
La vision tient du rêve éveillé : un
bassin turquoise dans un patio blanc à
l’ombre des bananiers. Cette ancienne
imprimerie a été transformée en
maison d’hôtes par Annick Lestrohan
et son mari : 4 chambres dans un esprit
loft post industriel cosy. A côté, leur
boutique Honoré distille un même art
de vivre 100 % déco.

This concept store is two shops
rolled into one. On one side
you’ve got furniture with a distinct
flavour of Scandinavia and 50s Italy. On
the other there’s vintage luxury fashion
from the 1950s to the 1980s. Curated
by owner Magali Terzian, it exudes the
spirit of la dolce vita. / Deux adresses
en une, façon concept store à tiroirs.
D’un côté, du mobilier avec une nette
prédilection pour le design scandinave
et italien années 50. Et de l’autre, de
la mode vintage de luxe années 50-80
(Saint Laurent, Leonard, Pucci, Chanel,
Sonia Rykiel). Un esprit très Dolce Vita
soufflé par Magali Terzian.

This Vieux-Port institution exerts
an evergreen pull on every class
of bar hound: gilded youth, weather-
beaten sailing types and pure-bred
Marseillais all coexist peaceably amid
the dark wood decor, sipping on pastis,
overlooked by the Notre-Dame de la
Garde basilica. / Lieu incontournable,
c’est le meilleur poste d’observation du
Vieux-Port. Jeunesse de bonne famille,
voileux burinés et marseillais pur
cru cohabitent dans ce décor de bois
sombre pour savourer un pastis face à
La Bonne-Mère (la fameuse Basilique
Notre-Dame de la Garde).

Clarins. It’s the poshest address in town
by a long chalk. / Nous voici dans un

siècle classé aux Monuments

Acclaimed by Le Fooding, this
bistro has been drawing crowds
and attention ever since it opened
in 2011. Chef Pierre Giannetti takes
traditional Provençal, Iberian and
Italian dishes such as octopus stew
and saffron gnocchi and puts his
own spin on them: try the gazpacho
with Campari mousse. / Depuis son
ouverture en 2011, il est plébiscité par le
Fooding et autres fines bouches. Pierre
Giannetti propose des plats aux accents
provençaux, ibériques ou italiens.
Résultat un mix savoureux : daube au
poulpe, gaspacho et Campari, gnocchi
au safran. Ici la Méditerranée est dans
son assiette !
