Electronic Ticketing System for Public Transport System using NFC TechnologyPravin Dorugade
This document proposes an electronic ticketing system for public transport using NFC (near field communication) technology. The current scenario involves a manual ticket process with the conductor cutting tickets and exchanging money. The proposed system would allow identification and ticketing of passengers using NFC enabled devices like tags and mobile phones. It specifies the hardware requirements including NFC tags, Android mobile phones and software like Visual Studio and SQL Server. It describes implementing features like admin and conductor login, user registration, account management, and NFC connection to enable contactless ticketing transactions where the conductor can tap a passenger's NFC card to detect their ID and fare details.
The document describes a smart parking system project that uses ultrasonic sensors and LED lights to detect available parking spaces and indicate their status. The system aims to help drivers more easily find vacant spaces to reduce traffic and pollution from cars circling for parking. It will use an LCD display at the entrance to direct drivers to the closest available space. Ultrasonic sensors will be installed under each space to detect vehicle occupancy and send signals to LED lights above to mark the space as vacant, occupied, or reserved. The project evaluates different sensor technologies before selecting ultrasonic for its low cost and non-intrusive installation compared to other options.

SIP is a protocol for setting up and managing sessions over the internet, including voice and video calls. It allows users to locate each other and establish communication sessions between endpoints. SIP sets up sessions but does not handle the actual media, like audio, which is transported separately using protocols like RTP. SIP works by routing request and response messages between user agents through proxies and servers to initiate, negotiate, and terminate communication sessions.
DIY Netflow Data Analytic with ELK Stack by CL LeeMyNOG
This document discusses using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to analyze netflow data. It describes IP ServerOne's infrastructure managing over 5000 servers across multiple data centers. Netflow data is collected and sent to Logstash for processing, then stored in Elasticsearch for querying and visualization in Kibana. Examples are given of how the data can be used, such as identifying top talkers, traffic profiling by ASN, and troubleshooting with IP conversation history. The ELK stack is concluded to be a powerful yet not difficult tool for analyzing netflow traffic.

The document describes the design of a Drowsy Driver Detection System. The system uses a camera to monitor the driver's face and eyes in order to detect fatigue. It analyzes the video input to locate the eyes and determine if they are open or closed. If the eyes are closed for 5 consecutive frames, the system concludes the driver is falling asleep and issues a warning signal. The system is designed to work in both day and night conditions using a machine vision based approach with the goal of developing a non-intrusive real-time fatigue monitoring system.
Systems engineering documents like concept of operations, system requirements, verification, and validation plans provide a structure for agencies to assess whether adaptive traffic control systems can address their issues. Adaptive systems aim to minimize delays and stops by adjusting cycle lengths, splits, offsets, and other parameters in real-time based on detected traffic. Studies show adaptive systems reduce delays, especially at higher congestion levels, though benefits depend on the location. Common adaptive systems include SCATS, SCOOT, RHODES, and InSync, which vary in their algorithms and architectures. High-resolution performance measures from detectors can evaluate system performance. Agencies should use adaptive selectively where appropriate and evaluate outcomes.
This document discusses vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs), which allow vehicles to communicate with each other and with roadside units to exchange safety and other information. VANETs have two types of nodes: mobile on-board units in vehicles that can communicate directly with each other, and static roadside units that are mounted in fixed locations to extend the communication range. The document outlines some of the key characteristics of VANETs, such as their dynamic topology as vehicles move, potential delays, and applications including safety warnings, traffic management, and internet access.
This document describes a proposed real-time bus tracking system that uses GPS modules installed on college buses. The GPS modules would transmit location data to a central server. A web-based application would then allow users to view the real-time locations of buses and estimated arrival times. This would help reduce passenger inconvenience due to traffic or delays. The system architecture involves GPS modules on buses sending location data via GSM to a central server. This data is then accessible to users through a web application. The goals are to provide real-time bus location and arrival information to help passengers plan their journeys more efficiently. A literature review discusses existing real-time bus tracking systems and their benefits for improving public transport systems.

This document discusses distributed file systems. It defines a distributed file system as a classical file system model that is distributed across multiple machines to promote sharing of dispersed files. The key aspects covered are that clients, servers, and storage are dispersed across machines and clients should view a distributed file system the same way as a centralized file system, with the distribution hidden at a lower level. Performance concerns for distributed file systems include throughput and response time.
Traffic simulation models provide an effective way to study complex traffic flow phenomena without costly and time-consuming real-world data collection and experimentation. Simulation models allow researchers to reproduce dynamic traffic conditions over time through micro, meso, or macroscopic representations. The development of accurate traffic simulation involves defining the problem, collecting field input data, establishing logical relationships between modeled elements, programming the simulation, calibrating and validating the model against real data.

It includes summaries of optical fiber communications, telephone exchanges, STM-1, mobile communications, video conferencing, and the basic components and history of railway signaling and control systems in India such as interlocking, panel interlocking, route relay interlocking, and track circuits.
This document discusses mobility management in mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs). It begins by introducing MANETs and explaining that they are temporary networks formed spontaneously via wireless communication between mobile nodes without centralized administration. It then discusses the need for mobility management, including location management and handoff management routing protocols. It also discusses different types of node mobility and mobility models for predicting node movement patterns over time in MANETs. The document categorizes mobility models as trace-based (using real movement data) or synthetic-based (simulating realistic movement), and lists examples of models within each category like the random waypoint and reference point group mobility models.
The document provides maintenance information for the Eldyne AzLS single section digital axle counter system. It details procedures for fixing track devices after rail replacement, adjusting rail contact transmit heads using a dummy wheel and test equipment, and resetting the system. Key steps include drilling mounting holes for rail contacts in the correct position, using a test kit to measure signal levels and adjust potentiometers to equalize rectified and reference voltages, and operating the reset box to initiate a reset. Proper maintenance following the guidance helps ensure trouble-free performance of the digital axle counter.
The document discusses advanced road transportation systems and planning. It defines advanced road transportation as preparing to transfer humans, animals, or items from one place to another. It identifies important functions of transportation planning like identifying transportation components and models. Transportation planning aims to make systems more efficient, effective, and equitable while reducing negative environmental impacts. It discusses various transportation studies used in planning like traffic volume, speed, travel time, parking, and origin-destination studies. The data from these studies help with tasks like designing roads, controlling intersections, and forecasting traffic. The document concludes that integrating advanced technology into traffic management is important for handling increasing vehicle populations in cities and towns.
Vocational training presentation on Railway Communication SystemAshutosh Verma
The document provides information on the Indian Railway communication system. It discusses key parts of the railway communication network including Railnet, the passenger reservation system (PRS), and the freight operation information system (FOIS). It describes the methods of communication used in railways such as optical fiber, microwave transmission, radio, and telephone. It also outlines the network components that enable communication, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network interface cards.
The document describes an advanced vehicle security system that uses fingerprint identification technology. It scans the driver's fingerprint and only allows the vehicle to start if there is a match with an enrolled fingerprint. This prevents theft even if someone has access to the vehicle keys. The system can also send text messages to the owner's phone with the vehicle's status or if any impacts are detected while it is parked. It aims to implement a fingerprint recognition algorithm to extract features like minutiae from fingerprint images and perform matching.
Mobile Transport Layer protocols aim to address challenges with TCP over mobile networks. Traditional TCP uses congestion control like slow start and fast retransmit/recovery that can reduce performance over mobile. Indirect TCP splits the connection at the access point to avoid wireless errors affecting the wired segment. Snooping TCP buffers packets at the access point and performs local retransmissions on errors. Mobile TCP splits the connection and uses an optimized TCP between the supervisory host and mobile host, choking the sender when the mobile is disconnected to avoid buffering large amounts of undelivered data.
The document discusses the Indian Railways' Computerized Passenger Reservation System (PRS). It describes the development of the system from an initial pilot project in 1985 to the current countrywide network called CONCERT. CONCERT allows for one-to-many communication between any train schedule and database, increasing efficiency. The PRS automates complex reservation, cancellation, modification and inquiry functions for India's extensive rail network, benefiting passengers and enabling rail operations optimization.

Conclusion

partout pour me déplacer
• Monde peu « connecté » :
• Beaucoup d’informations portées par le support
• Equipements intermédiaires (valideurs, …) intelligents et
autonomes
• + interface utilisateur + objet multi-usages
• …

• IOP by design
• Privacy by design
• Privilégiant le canal « Internet / Mobile »
• Rapprochant Transports en Commun + Autres mobilités
• Rapprochant « Billettique » et « Information Voyageurs »
User-centric
--> Master Data Management
