- Florida collects newborn blood samples on cards that are mailed to a lab for testing. Test results are sent back to hospitals via fax but the system is at capacity.
- The Florida Department of Health wants to develop an electronic ordering and reporting system between hospital labs and the state lab to improve efficiency and timeliness of newborn screening results.
- The project would use the state's experience integrating data over 15 years to build interfaces between hospital systems and the state's bureau of labs. Standards and existing tools will form the foundation for the newborn screening project.
This document discusses a partnership project between the Florida and Texas Departments of Health to exchange influenza laboratory data. Both states use the same LIMS system (LabWare) and have similar populations and public health challenges. The goals of the project are to exchange lab test orders and results between the two states, other states, and federal partners; develop a surge capacity model for pandemic flu testing; and integrate their LIMS systems to enable interoperable data exchange. Key challenges include differences in how each state has configured their LIMS and the distance between the states. The project involves using various technologies like Mirth and Rhapsody for integration and PHINMS for data exchange.
The project loads XML documents containing information about a record store inventory. It loads main.xml, which defines the structure of bands and albums, and commands.xml, which contains functions to make changes to main.xml such as inserting, removing, or updating bands, albums, and their properties. The project simulates managing a record store's inventory.
Willy gets in an argument with his friend Tom at a concert after making insensitive comments about a boy's swimwear. Willy runs away in a panic and gets lost in a poor neighborhood. Exhausted and without his phone, Willy meets a kind woman who offers him shelter and listens to his story. She offers to help Willy contact his friend to make amends.
The document discusses the PHLIP RnR Hub, which aims to facilitate the electronic exchange of laboratory data between public health laboratories. It allows multiple laboratories to exchange data through a central hub rather than direct connections. The hub currently supports 18 state public health labs exchanging influenza data with CDC. It also aims to support pandemic influenza surveillance and electronic lab reporting in states like Florida. The team works to expand use cases and integrate with other networks. The goal is improved data quality, sources for surveillance, and a strengthened collaborative environment.
Cloud computing is advancing public health by providing shared computing resources over the internet. It allows for data storage, processing, and access to resources in a secure and cost-effective manner. Public health agencies are using cloud platforms like AIMS to accelerate messaging solutions. While privacy and security are top concerns, cloud providers make large investments to strengthen security. Cloud computing provides benefits like reliability, efficiency, accessibility, and agility compared to on-premise systems. Public health agencies are adopting cloud solutions to reduce costs and improve operations.
This document discusses Florida's efforts to implement electronic laboratory ordering and reporting for newborn screening tests from hospitals to the Florida Department of Health. It aims to improve efficiency and timeliness of test result reporting. The project involves developing interfaces between hospital systems and the Florida DOH database. It summarizes the history of reporting for newborn hearing screening and critical congenital heart disease screening. Challenges include hearing data not always being in hospital systems, while successes involve pulse oximetry data availability and support from hospital newborn screening staff. Standards, infrastructure, and past integration experience are leveraged to enable this new partnership and collaboration.
The International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases was first convened in 1998; ICEID 2015 marks its ninth occurence. The conference brings together public health professionals to encourage the exchange of scientific information on global emerging infectious disease issues in the United States and abroad.
This presentation discusses how health information exchange (HIE) infrastructure and governance can help ensure access to medical records at the point of care following a natural disaster. It outlines how the Public Health Information Network (PHIN) works with state-designated HIE entities and emergency response agencies to develop strategic disaster plans integrating public and private health data sources. The PHIN messaging system and use of secure messaging can help deliver records flexibly between providers. Governance is needed to coordinate stakeholders and technical solutions to make records available when people are displaced.

1) Découvrez comment l'inaction, c'est-à-dire le fait de ne pas agir ou d'agir alors qu'on le devrait ou qu'on est censé le faire, est un obstacle à une vie épanouie ;
> Comment l'inaction affecte-t-elle l'avenir du jeune ? Que devraient plutôt faire les jeunes pour se racheter et récupérer ce qui leur appartient ? A découvrir dans le document ;
