People who are learning how to code have many ways available for them to build up their skill level and become professional developers. Free or low-cost courses exist online, as well as more premium priced ones. For those who prefer a classroom setting, in-person bootcamps promise to train students in the space of an intensive 2-3 months, but at a hefty price tag that many can’t afford to pay. At Les Pitonneux we have developed a 12-week program in the format of learning circles, to get the best of both worlds: online courses combined with the benefits of a strong local community. In this talk we will explore how we iterated over the format of the program, and how agile methodologies will be applied to aid collaborative, peer-to-peer, project-based learning.
