Wirtrack outdoor

2. Wirtrack outdoor
Self operating GPS/GPRS beacon in harsh conditions
wirtrack outdoor is one of Kerlink's range of machine-to-machine product. This beacon is
designed to relay its position and information in harsh environments.
is a GPS/GSM/GPRS unit. The beacon can track vehicle or device
(locomotives, wagons, containers, trailers,...) sending the data to a centralized
server.
is powered by an internal lithium battery. It can transmitt its position, time,
or events for up to 10 years (according to the data programme).
fits to the Wanesy Network making programming, supervision and remote
maintenance easier.
Application cases
A rail freight company monitors goods from the production site to delivery. The
goods transported are sensitive to the transport conditions (temperature, humidity,
impacts, etc).
The information sent by the sensors is sent back to a central server. The company
can then anticipate the condition of the goods even before they reach their
destination. Each incident is date stamped and geolocated (GPS).
Technical Features
• Powered by a lithium battery
• Autonomy up to 7 years ((based on one GPS log every 12 hours and one GPRS transmission per day)
• Localisation by a highly sensitive GPS. Geofencing.
• Built-in GPS/GSM/GPRS antennas
• Operating between -40°C and +85°C
• IP67-IK8 case – Size 138 x 80 x 58.5 mm– weight 545 g
• Railway certification EN 50 155

A transporter monitors his containers while they are travelling by road and by sea.
Every day,the unit reads its position and stores it if no GPRS network is available.
The data (time, position, event) is sent to a central server when connection is
reestablished. This enables the company to create a log of the containers’
movements.
